SpiralngCadavr
So, I've gotten it in mind that I generally don't play arcanists much, in large part because I haven't painted much of my collection, and I haven't painted my collection because it's too much to tackle, so I'm paring down what I have. I'm definitely keeping Mei Feng's variously thematic pieces; joss and howard langston; and have a large Outcast collection, so most mercs. Is this plus Colette's various showgirls plenty for effectiveness and some variety? If not, what else would you consider a bare minimum? I'm also considering keeping Marcus's boxed set, but probably would just be keeping my arcanist beasts at that and getting the rest from other factions, though I'm not sure what synergy that would offer. Mxbedlam
If you plan on playing Colette, her box is pretty awesome. I generally run an acolyte with her and maybe the mech rider, but since I run that with Ramos I don't run it as often with her. Howard/Miss Step is a strong option and a Silent One can be pretty fantastic. Other than those, you really don't "NEED" much more but she can pretty much run what she wants.
SpiralngCadavr
Oh, forgot I already had the Rider because of leveticus. Well, sounds like I'm at least mostly set, thanks for the info. Is there a reason Silent Ones are effective with her?
hippodruid
Silent Ones are already pretty good models, and Colette just makes good models better by providing them with more resources. A single Prompt can push a Silent One, give it a non-randomizing Ca attack, and possibly trigger a second Ca attack. Assorted Showgirl movement tricks can also help move them into position, as they are a little on the slow side.
Mxbedlam
They can also heal, which is nice.
Trample
There is a pretty detailed thread on this topic here: There's some good stuff in that one (it could perhaps even get a sticky since it has become a bit of a strategy discussion too).
mythicFOX
@Trample - That's a good idea. I've done that now.
MR TORGUE
I was thinking of modelling the mechanical rider and acolytes using crutches for my generic colette crew... cos y'know.
