shahryar
I tend to go a little overboard on basing and i have hit modeler's block trying to decide how to base jack daw's crew box
SpiralngCadavr
Bleak and/or western was my thought.
lusciousmccabe
I'd go with that or maybe institution flooring (tiles?) or dungeon looking.
Jewomie
I painted up a commission of Jack's crew for someone. he wanted a silent hill type color scheme, and on swampy bases. Ended up putting them about ankle deep in water with bits of trees coming out. I can't remember what company made the bases, but it was one of the big ones that make the deep resin bases. They turned out really good (if I may say so) and I think the swampy fit the darkness of the sculpts.
Mewens
When I saw the crew, the first thing I thought of was the ghost effects from the Ghostbusters films – the translucent, somewhat hokey "floating" look. I'd probably pin them so they're floating at cocked angles over Lineoleum tile (yes, I know, anachronistic).
Wearethedead
I did my Jack over a broken statue of an angel, rest of his crew (except the guilty they are a bit too big on the base) broken tombstones with lots of crosses and angels
haychdee
THIS IS NOT MY MODEL Credit to Antwan Ragland from A Wyrd Place Just thought you might want to have a look at this style. Probably my favourite Jack Daw. The bricks are made of foam so stick on well.
