Treadhead1944
Our gaming group is having a little "tournament". Strategies and deployments have been announced, and I am having trouble with the second one. The strategy is Reckoning at 40ss. I have Ophelia'so crew, Wong'so crew, and Mah's crew, along with Burt and Gracie, Merris, Hog Whisperer, piglets, Bayou Gators, Sammie, War Wabbit, and Slop Haulers. I was considering this list: Ophelia with Dirty Cheater and let the 2 Young LaCroix feed her Hootch Igniter and My Threatenin' Gun Francois with Team Work Sammie with Jugs Rocket Rami Slop Hauler Burt 2 Young LaCroix My thoughts are that this gives me a good variety of shooty/punchy with some chances to pull in some undead explody pigs. Accepting any and all advice on this, thank you in advance, Jason
Clement
Leave out Rami, Burt, and Sammy... for now. Without knowing the schemes and your opponent you're making some big assumptions you may regret. With them gone, that gives you about 22ish stones to tweak your crew depending on the specifics of what's needed. If the scheme pool gives you Assassinate, Vendetta or some other equally focused killy scheme, put this crew back just as you've got it. But if the schemes are more marker focused, you might want to drop in more Lightning bugs or piglets or something. P.S. I like to throw stilts on Francois. He's often barreling into combat and the ability to get one REALLY HARD HIT off and not die to it is very useful.

Thank you!

I was thinking Merris and proxy the bushwackers as Bayou Gremlins if the strats are marker heavy?

Yes and Yes... Though you should clear the bushwacker-as-bayou gremlin proxy with your TO. A lot of tournaments get particular about the use of proxies, especially proxies that are other models in the same faction.
Omenbringer
Definitely second the recommendation to clear the use of the Bayou Bushwhackers as proxy Bayou Gremlins. As a TO I would be hard pressed to allow it unless they were converted to more closely resemble Bayou Gremlins than Bushwhackers. At the least you should consider "leaving" off the camouflage and perhaps also modify the pelican hat on the one.
Treadhead1944
Even better, I just received a box of Bayou Gremlins. Since this is a casual affair, paint is not necessary. Assembly is however, any tips?

Seriously though patience...oh and plastic glue.

Joke aside, I haven't gotten to put together my Bushwackers yet, but a few of the Bayous are seriously fiddly! But so worth it afterwards... :-)

The Bayou Gremlins were not too bad, but they did start a a rumination on the evolutionary need for gremlins to have awkward wrists.
