Hagisman
So my game group right now has been gushing over the Mysterious Emissary(You know who you are ). It got me thinking what can the Brutal Emissary do that changes up the game? From what I can tell he is Tough model that copies actions from other models. And likes to give out slow. As well as likes to bury and unbury models near scheme markers. This is my theoryfaux, but its very limited because I've only ever fielded the Brutal during Open Beta.Conflux ofJudgementDo his bury tricks with Lady J. And buff Guild MarshalsIncinerationAct as another model to give Sonnia LoS with burning.HuntTurn Perdita into an Obey master.AmalgamationHave Hoffman buff him with Modifications and Buff Power Loop models. Give out Scrap.TyrannyHeal minion models and give Lucius a good melee attack.Forbidden KnowledgeMcMourning. Give out poison and gain bonuses to attacking Poisoned models.ExplorationAct as a Lucas McCabe copy to give out more upgrade
Chumbalaya
I'm a big fan of the Emissary. Boxaporting Lady J (bonus points if you box Frank the turn you unbox Lady J so he can pop up next to her later) is tremendously fun. Getting a free McCabe upgrade and tossing it around is fun. Setting some poor bastard on fire without needing LoS is fun. I haven't fully figured out his ability to copy the (1) actions of buried models, but it does seem ripe with opportunity. He could bury Lady J one turn, then charge with her attacks before unburying her. He could Throw Dynamite or explode like Papa Loco. Bury Howard, copy his abilities, get Machine Puppeted, then unbury Howard later. It seems like it takes a bit of set up to get going, but could be interesting.I've gotten some good use out of A Cage For All. Set up on some enemies near a Clockwork Trap and then it's multiple Wk duels when they activate to avoid getting Slow. Healing is always a plus as well.I've yet to use Destined for anything but healing. Chain Activation always feels like something of a double-edged sword, but I can see its uses. And, worst case scenario, Never Bluff a Six-Gun can spread some damage around and surprise folks when it hits that moderate 4 plus an extra for crit strike. And Hoffman can give a Modification that adds a Ram to attack actions.if Brutal buries Harold and has the upgrade does he get auto decapitate? I remember that's why the Upgrade says Only Guild Constructs on it.

I remember that's why the Upgrade says Only Guild Constructs on it. Yes, he would get it for one attack. In theory, Hoffman and the Emissary could do this once every turn. Pretty scary, really...
Dogsplosion
You can get it for more than one attack by Machine Puppeting the Box action, then puppet an attack (1 auto decap), then the Emissary still has his 2 auto decap attacks before he has to unbury Howie. However as with all Hoffman tricks it's so rigid and finicky that it's hard to make it work in game IMO

However as with all Hoffman tricks it's so rigid and finicky that it's hard to make it work in game IMO You can only get three Auto Decap strikes as Machine Puppet does not let you declare triggers on the action you gain. So the only two that can get it is during the Emissary's own activation plus 1 by giving the Emissary Fast from the original Machine Puppet action. Still three attacks at Ml7, 4/5/6, with Auto Decapication is pretty rough.

So yeah, 3 auto-decaps

4thstringer
I've been liking using the emissary (and a watcher) with hoffman to get papa Loco in my opponents midst turn one. Sometimes I'll include killjoy too to pop up when papa dies.I like the emissary as a bodyguard for hoff. He can fight at range and into combat or cover, has a nice long walk, and can really chew through summoned models with his trigger. He makes a good loop target and armor 2 with patchwork plates makes him survivable.
