Lucidicide
Come check out a render of a Guild Sergeant here: http://www.wyrd-games.net/news/2015/11/9/monday-preview-guild-sergeant
Absolution Black
I have been looking forward to these for a while, and I have to say on first glance I am a bit disappointed. But as a Guild player, I will no doubt be purchasing them anyway. The sculpt will likely grow on me.
dgraz
The sculpt will likely grow on me.Sorry.....not me. Another boring static pose...what's with the weird sword? And that beard?I like his face....around the eyes.....but that's about it.
Poko
I for once approve. Simple pose, hopefully few pieces, still fairly detailed. There's absolutely no reason that the cheap grunt units should be overly complex and "dynamic" to the point some of the heroes are. Heres hoping for a dynamic second sculpt!
wizuriel
Well he looks a lot better than the art.The sash I think looks out of place in Guild (at least compared to the lack of decorations that Captain Dashel has). edit: actually think just how dressed up and old he looks seems really out of place for Guild. Guslado
Z.Z.Top goes to Malifaux!
Bengt
The beard totally ruins it for me, it takes him from grizzled old veteran to Santa Claus. I also think Guardsman models would have benefited immensely from a more unified look, now they are all over the place.I assume that it will be a two pack (as they are rare 2) and wonder if the other guy will look like the art on the card in Crossroads. I notice that there are 2 cards in arsenal w2, does one look like this guy?
TehMik
That guy looks like he's a week from retirement. Shame he doesn't look like Danny Glover, would love for his partner to be a knock-off Mel Gibson so we could have some Lethal Weapon goodness. Doesn't do anything for me, so pass. stormtitan
I'm happy with it, but I always kind of like those authoritarian figure designs.

Myyrä
He looks like a dictator of some banana republic.
zeeblee
Looks like a Civil War commander to me (beard included). Though he does make me wish the Guild Guard had more consistent uniforms.
Sphealwithit
I think it's quite a characterful sculpt, but I'm not sure it if fits my impression of a guild sergeant. The beard and scimitar style sword give him a really middle eastern look and he looks a little older than I expect. He needs a fine mustache! Poko
The beard and scimitar style sword give him a really middle eastern lookFrom my understanding the Guild is a non-discriminatory employer. It did start as a coalition of world mages, from West to Far East, so it;d make sense it'd be primarily (of course within reason..it is XIXc organization) discriminating for skill.
Cadaverousbirth
I really like it. The rigid pose (unrelenting authority) and magnificent beard (wisdom, dedication, xmas) all come together well. I'd love to see the render for the mustached sergeant as well, they would make a good duo.
D_acolyte
Am I wrong or was the Guild Sergeant Ml weapon the Breaching Axe? If so, then why does he have a saber? Also the pose seem to be very flat. Edited November 9, 2015 by D_acolyte
Dirial
That is the worst Malifaux sculpt I've seen to this day. In fact, it's the first Guild sculpt I don't like, and instead detest. It looks like he's on a parade, has no consistency with the Guild Guard, or it's own rules even.
Hungering Derpness
It kind of looks like Sidir without a turban or machine gun.
SpiralngCadavr
I mostly like him, but feel like, as is often the case, the static head would be a very minor change that would allow for a much nicer mini- a slight turn to either side would give him movement and make him look more in a combat zone (since presenting your whole body front on is about the worst thing you can do to avoid getting hit). Also a little odd that he has such a serious sword with no scabbard. zFiend
What an utter waste.. Seriously? A model that has a Breaching Axe as a melee weapon is wielding a scimitar and is way overdressed compared to Guild Guards. There is nothing that makes the Guild unified with these models.
Math Mathonwy
It looks like a WWX sculpt. I don't like it.
Ludvig
I really like the face with the eastern/hispanic style beard. I got the feeling the guild guards were hispanic when I started out so I don't have any guardsmen beside Dashel painted caucasian. I wouldn't mind if he was drawing his sword and had a bit more of a braced or walking pose though. He does seem like he is in dress uniform and/or outranking Dashel vastly. The epaulets might be a tad much, how about smaller gloves and details on the foldup of his jacket sleeves, that should bring him more in line with the rest of the guardsmen since they have foldup jacket sleeves. The overcoat also lacks definition around the waist in my eyes as well as not having buttons. Adding something to make it more jacket and less cape would be a big boost to the back of the model (which is the side I most frequently see when playing with them). The sword is a lot better than an axe to me, I'd rather see them ship with new stat cards to fix that instead of giving axes to the models. Vidd
I don't think I'd guess this was a Malifaux model but I still think it'll be a nice figure. Also there's not enough beards in Malifaux so this goes someway to improving that.
