That might be an issue, but for a few points:

  • Hollow Waifs are free
  • Hollow Waifs really don't need to do much more than exist
  • When you get a chance to hire crew each week, you can hire a fresh pack of hollow waifs if you've broken your old ones
  • It's Leveticus.  He probably deserves it. 

Ha ha! Okay, so by broken your old ones, do you mean they've suffered enough injuries that they die?

Ha ha! Okay, so by broken your old ones, do you mean they've suffered enough injuries that they die?

Actually, I was thinking of the Cut 'Em Up for Parts optional rule and thinking it was a standard rule.  But there is a note in the campaign rules that the weeks are only expected to be one or two games per week.  So most of the time the worst case scenario is going to be going into a game with two injured waifs that somehow manage to not get themselves finished off.

But, barring that, there is always just the option to play without injuries.  The book does admit that not everyone is going to feel that injuries add to the experience.
