Thanks to everyone who cam yesterday, it all seemed to go smoothly from my perspective.

I'm always interested in feedback though.  For example:

-Round timing - Too short or enough, did people get through 4 or 5 turns?

-Raffle prizes - All hobby this time, did you like that, do prefer models, or a mix of the two?

Speaking of raffles, we raised a brilliant £95 which will go to the British Heart Foundation.  Sam's doing his Prudential RideLondon 100 bike challenge again this summer on behalf of the BHF, so it will go towards that (we'll be running Heartfaux for the same cause on the 14/5

Here are the full results which I will submit to Stephen for the rankings shortly:

Thanks Chris.  As usual this was a terrific event.  I had three great games and everything that could be desired from a TO ran smoothly.  The round timing was fine, though I'd also have been just as happy going up to 2h for 50SS.  The raffle prizes were also fine, though since I didn't win anything it wouldn't have mattered anyway.

I really like the little analyses you do on the limited datasets.  It's interesting that there were no Gremlins, but otherwise I think that you can put the variance in master use down to personal preference (e.g. the relative prevalence of the Viktorias can be associated with John W's presence).  I think a couple of years ago you did a breakdown of chosen schemes for each round.  If you have the data for that I would be interested to see what was picked with the new schemes.

My more detailed thoughts can be found here:

Thanks very much for taking the extra time to do this.  I know that tabulating the data can be a bit of pain but I do find it interesting.  At the moment there isn't enough data out there to learn anything about the schemes, but if a good number of events recorded this information then you could possibly draw conclusions about their relative popularity.

Hey Chris,

great event, I really enjoyed my first tournament and it was very well run! The quick reference sheets were especially useful.

-round timing: I managed to finish all my games fully (one ended turn 2, the others turn 5) and there was never any worry or feeling that we needed to speed up. I think we could have even managed 50ss without too much trouble.

-prizes: I was quite surprised at the amount there was to win, and liked that it wasn't simply for 1st/2nd/3rd etc. As a new player the idea of more models is appealing to me. However I recognize that in Malifaux getting something you already have isn't really useful, and so scenery/hobby stuff tend to work better. The only way I could think to balance this would be to just have the first person drawn pick what they want and so on. Then they'd be more chance of experienced players taking hobby stuff/models they don't have and newer players expanding their collections. I don't know if it'd work in practice though.

I'll try and come up again for Heartfaux, but you've managed to schedule it both on my birthday, and just before my exams!

Ollie
