If it seems highly likely that the swordsman will kill the model anyway, killing it yourself to get rid of the swordsman might be much easier than killing the swordsman directly. Of course that leaves the Swordsman an activation to do something else, options options. Sunrise is still very useful when you have an applicable enemy on the ropes at the start of your first activation and can both use Sunrise and kill the model before your opponent gets an activation.
