Thorontir
Greetings, As I said in another post, I have recently started playing Malifaux and have some doubts. When using Hamelin crew, I was amazed at the amount of rats you can summon (Even if the rats themselves do little damage) and I was so succesful in doing this that a friend complained that I could not use a rat that was just summoned the same turn to summon a Rat King. We looked for any restrictions on this, but we could only find the standar summoning effects (Starting with slow). The fact that a malifaux rat has the slow condition does not prevent it from joining it's kin in a Rat King, so... Is there any reason why it can be done? zFiend
There is not.
Thorontir
I understand that you mean there is no reason not to do that... Thanks a lot! (I say this because of my last phrase on the first post, Is there any reason why it can be done? should have been "Is there any reason why it can't be done?") zFiend
There is no reason it can't be done. Dirty little rats.
asrian
As ZFiend said, there is no restriction from Slow prohibiting the rats from turning into Rat Kings. The only mandate on that is under the abilities on the front of the card that state if a rat activates in the required proximity of three or more other rats, then they form a Rat King (which is a large collection of Rats). Note that it does say three other rats, meaning you have to have four rats in total at the least for them to become a Rat King. It counts the rat that is activated plus three other rats. I've seen a few players misread that and form Rat Kings with only three rats. You need four.
Drool_bucket
Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Unlike the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, you do need to count to four rats....
