MalifauxMartin Posted September 19, 2014 Report Share Posted September 19, 2014 Hi all, I've never played a henchman led crew but got a tournament this weekend with the first two games being 35ss henchman games, stake a claim and turfwar. He is the allrounder: Hard to kill, packs a punch, reasonably fast, has some utility, and works well with almost anybody. All the others have some downsides to them. None is bad, though. deValmont Posted September 19, 2014 Report Share Posted September 19, 2014 I play Resser and for a Henchman game I would take the Valedictorian, because she's fast, hard as nails and can remove the opponent's master's ability to use triggers, which can completely hamstring quite a lot of the trickier ones. Or Ryle in the lead with Sidir as the second-in-command. Or Judge and Francisco.Guild have excellent Henchmen and are, all in all, very good in small games since they have lots of models that don't need synergy bonuses but rather work extremely well on their own. Thaarup Posted September 19, 2014 Report Share Posted September 19, 2014 Ryle combined with the Brutal Effigy makes for a very good combo. A second Henchman like Judge offres quite a lot of support. Aramasu Posted September 19, 2014 Report Share Posted September 19, 2014 The Judge with a Brutal Effigy is excellent as well. He's already extremely difficult to take down while being flexible with no particular stand-out weaknesses. Tossing a little healing on top of that can be great. He'll speed up your beatstick of choice, hits quite hard, and can easily tie up tougher models or take them out all on his lonesome. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

He has a little more support than some of the others. Don't have a brutal effigy (one of the few guild i don't), but maybe gov. Proxy would work for a bit of healing. Bring him with some models that can cause burning, (like a handler and two stalkers) and sit him behind cover, let him rapid fire like crazy into the middle.
