Antebellum
Looks great. I did mine with reddish hair as well(hopefully pictures will be up tonight, Photobucket is being weird). I like the contrast you have in your highlights ... I need to work on my color selection to bring my highlights out more. Really great stuff. Can't wait to see what you do with the Belle's.
Clawz
No no, don't change colours now; they're too cleanly highlighted! I was just wondering for the sake of general curiosity. I think it works well: it's like he just went into a hat store and went "all of these, thanks"
zFiend
That is a wicked CCK.
sigmar3
It's cool Clawz, I wasn't. Just that I didn't like the idea of different coloured hats at first but now, depending on the colours chosen, I'm sure it would have looked ok. sigmar3
Bit of work done. Slow going, things didn't happen how I wanted. You get days like that hey. Still I'm not unhappy.
peebs
Incredible painting on the copycat killer - especially when you consider how tiny he is! The shading on the hats is particularly nice. Sybelle is looking great too, I love your colour choices.
sigmar3
Still going. Not sure how or what colour to do her boots? To be honest I wish I'd spent more time cleaning up the whip now, but it was so thin and flexible I was scared of snapping it. Ah well.
Clawz
Hmm, to me they look good in black (maybe glossy) but if you wanted to make it garish, bright bubblegum pink or gold maybe? I love the subtle blending you're managing on her!
sigmar3
I've basically finished now, more because I've reached my fatigue limit than being totally happy. I think I've gone as far as I can with my skill level now lol. However I was considering doing a tattoo on her back, shoulder blade, maybe a heart or something. Not used to doing tattoos. Anything else I've missed?
sigmar3
Hi guys. I did the heart tattoo on Sybelle and I'll try to get the finished photos up soon. In the mean time I have a very early, rough looking wip of one of the rotten bellies. Trying to do half the face looking like the skull is showing. zFiend
That's the best one of the new Belles and it looks great! Can't wait to see it finished.
sigmar3
Bit more done. Judging from the photo I might have to add even more contrast to the dress, and I still have to put down a purple glaze to tie it all together. So far I'm happyish though.
zFiend
Really well painted!
sigmar3
Cheers for the comments ZFiend
zFiend
The dress in particular is simply stunning. Are you going to do something to do something with the skin or are you leaving a bit more of a fresh kill vibe?
sigmar3
Yeah the skin is going to go a lot paler, it's just base coat atm. Not sure what the deal with the back of the head is though. Its odd lol
sockwithaticket
Very nice work so far, really like the dress.
sigmar3
Slowly slowly hey. My aim was too show the skull showing through on the face, although it hasn't actually been sculpted that way. Not sure I've succeeded really but I'll probably keep it that way anyway. Almost finished.
zFiend
Wow. I am so angry at you right now. I just painted those and mine look like shit now! Really good job I love the dress and the stockings. The skin is proper dead now too.
sigmar3
Haha thanks again ZFiend. Have you got pictures of your belles in a wip, I'm sure they look decent mate. I'm also very happy I have a 'Like' from the Agent of the Breach...absolutely excellent work they are producing over on their wip.
sigmar3
Ok finished the first rotten belle, I'm pretty pleased with the outcome, although as soon as I took the pics and uploaded I realised I'd forgotten to add a gloss varnish to the back of the head for the blood, etc. But not a big deal. Also a finished, slightly better pic (though not great, apologies for that one, prob do a better pic when the crew is done) of Madame Sybelle. You may be able to see the tattoo on her back, maybe not due to the lighting of the pic. Anyway, thanks for looking guys
zFiend
Those are absolutely amazing. The Belle especially! Great job. What's next? More Belles? How long does it take you to paint a Belle from basecoat to that level?
sigmar3
Cheers. Yeah another belle next. Hmm I'm a notoriously slow painter, as in the time it takes me to actually paint, and that I will often go a week or weeks without getting around to doing anything lol. At the moment I seem to be on a roll and have done the copy cat killer, sybelle and the belle since the new year (I think?). So that's one a month haha, yeah that's pretty slow. spectrehorseman
lol, love the heart tatoo on sybelle. And I really like the way you colored the cobblestone streets. I need to step up my basing process and focus on it more than just dry brushing it. I'm gonna have a look around your thread dude, call me subscribed.
Antebellum
Nice work, Sigmar. I really like how the skin came out on the belle; especially her chest and spine, really makes the skin seem stretched thin.
