  1. So do you use Loco with her? I have a real trouble fitting him in. Especially after the new upgrades. Often i notice that Sonnia's damage is not that high as expected. 2 cards are often ditched for the 0 action. 4 cards left, 1-2 of them are severes. To get a damage flip without a "-" you still need to target a really low defence model or use an old good focus. Focused strike may be worth it if they are close together, but it is often not the case. But taking Loco will probably require a dedicated trasport (Judge, Granny, Emissary) and will force an elite crew to be even more starved for activations. So, lets imagine: Sonnia with 3 upgrades and 5-6 stones. Dont need a totem with the new upgrade - you can summon it. Franc (wade in, hermanos), 8-10 slot (Judge, Queeg, Emissary?) 4 Brutal Effigy 7 SS for Loco So we have 10-16 SS left if Loco is present. Thats not much. + Sweet + to damage flips upping the danger level of Sonnia to a whole new level. - So hard to manage, slow, dangerous to your own crew and 7 stones to boot.

  4. Hey guys I ordered two models from ebay that were labelled as Wyrd games (pre-malifaux). I purchased what I though would be the same model without stat cards however when opening them my Papa Loco seems to be a little... strange. He has no hair, no dynamite, pointed ears, no shoes and looks like he would be far more at home in a faction other than the guild. The only thing that seems the same is his stance. Just wondering if this is how the first Papa loco mini looked or if an error has been made somewhere. The other miniature is the same as the ones currently being produced so no problems there. I will try to put a picture up A.S.A.P
  5. So, I've recently begun playing the Ortegas, and I am enjoying the way that they operate. I've had them painted up for a while, but I'm lazy and procrastinate, so it is only now that I am posting pictures. Now I just need to decide what color to paint Perdita's lips... I live in Arizona, a desert, so basing these guys was pretty simple. I used polymer clay to make most of the things that I see pretty frequently: a palo verde for Perdita, a little barrel cactus for Santiago, and a ram's skull for NiƱo (a fitting item in lieu of a cow's skull, I think). There's a tumble weed on Francisco's base made from thread and wire, and polymer dynamite on Papa's. The dirt one the bases is made from crushed rocks that I got from in front of my house. if anyone wants to know about the colors that I use, I mix all of them from the primaries, white, and black. Please, comment and critique. A couple of quick disclaimers first, though, after seeing the enlarged photographs, flaws are so much more apparent. About Santiago, his skin dried much darker than I had expected. And about the glossiness, all of my models are sealed in a clear coat
