  1. Had my third Malifaux game yesterday (first was a demo match) with my first master, Ironsides - so second game with her. I went against the Victorias, my first match was against Von Schill, both 26 SS. After my experiences in the Von-Schill-Match (spend the whole game trying to catch him, ignored the rest, lost most of my team and the scenario), I played my team very close together and managed to draw in most of his ronins and even killed the Student of Conflict rather easily. Only to be taken apart by Victoria, thanks to a Red Joker at damage. Now I am wondering: is Ironsides a bad matchup against the Victorias or is it just a matter of playing around them? My crew was Ironsides, the Captain, both with Warding Runes, Oxford Mage with Doom Ward and two spiders. His crew was the Victorias, Student of Conflict and 3 Ronin.
  2. So I've got a tournament coming up soon and need some help building my crew lists. The tournament is using the Gaining Grounds 2016 list so the SnS are new to me. Here are the SnS for the tournament: Round 1: Strategy - Interference Schemes - Convict Labor, Exhaust Their Forces, Take Prisoner, Undercover Entourage, Occupy Their Turf Round 2: Strategy - Squatter's Rights Schemes - Convict Labor, Undercover Entourage, Hunting Party, Frame for Murder, Show of Force Round 3: Strategy - Headhunter Schemes - Convict Labor, Neutralize the Leader, Leave Your Mark, Undercover Breakthrough (not sure which scheme, must be a typo on their post), Hunting Party I currently only own Leveticus and The Viktorias as my masters and would like to make good competitive tournament crew lists for these schemes. Here are the models I already own: Viktoria of Ashes, Viktoria of Blood, Student of Conflict, Taelor, 3x Ronin, Vanessa, Hans Leveticus, 3x Hollow Waifs, Rusty Alyce, 4x Abominations, Hodgepodge Effigy, Ryle, Joss, Desolation Engine With all that said, what would you all recommend for crew lists based on the SnS? Are there any models that I should be looking at getting? Any schemes I should be picking or avoiding? Thanks in advance!

  4. Hello All, I have a few questions regarding this game. I hope you can help me. If you don't want to read my long post, there is short summary at end. Thanks in advance. @off-top: I am not native English speaker, so some mistakes may occur. Long story short: I never played any other wargames. But I have experience in board / card games. I discovered Malifaux by coincidence. I wanted to start playing Warhammer: Conquest but my friend showed me his gremlin crew. Now I want to start playing Malifaux! It's better to have some nice figures, than hundreds of cards in drawer (old times when I was playing MtG).I already played game at my local club. I asked a few questions there. Firstly I need to choose faction. I have some requirements: - I don't like "monsters" and "scary" stuff; - Want to have all figures in "more or less" one theme; - I would be nice to have master with different play style: My conclusion about each faction: - Ressers: too filthy and totally not my taste, but I must admit summoning skills look great; - Neverborn: also nope, appearance + gameplay are not for me; - Arcanists: Differs to much with each master, for example: Rasputina and her "Icy stuff", Colette with show girls and Ramos with constructs; - Gremlins: Unfortunately my friend has this faction, and I don't want to copy him; - Guild: A lot of shooting and crazy cowboys / Mexicans; - 10T: Everything at one place, could be fun (and costly) playing them; - Outcasts: A lot of healing, and answer for mostly all problems; Guild, Outcasts 10T are all great for me, with some exceptions. But I fall in love with Hannah and Von Schill. So my question is: Can I be competitive player using only „human” part of Outcasts? That means Von Schill, Viks, Hammelin (painted as nice white lab rats etc.), all freikorps, Sue, Hans, Johan etc. But without Void Wretches, Desolation Engine, A&D, etc. ? If answer to first questions is not, what faction would you recommend for me: 10T or Guild? Short Summary: Can I be competitive Outcasts player when only playing human part of this faction (Von Schill, Viks, Hammelin)? That means without Levictus, Jack Daw, A&D, KillJoy Void Wretches etc.
