We'll use the rules from Gaining Grounds as below.Players are expected to use official models when playing Malifaux as this facilitates the ease of understanding for that player's opponents. Proxy models are not allowed, though official “Counts as” models may be used. The only exception to this rule is if a model has an officially released stat card available but no model is yet released, the player may field a suitable proxy but it must be easily identifiable, as per the TO’s discretion prior to the start of the tournament. The proxies do not have to be painted but may need kit bashing or green stuffing to make them identified.With that said, other conversions are allowed with the following restrictions:• The converted model must still clearly represent the model it is converted from.• No more than 50% of the finished model may be built using non-Wyrd product produced by another company.

We will be running a grow league at The Game Table in Carbondale Illinois from April 4th to May 5th. The Game Table is located at 606 S. Illinois Ave Carbondale Il. 62901 (618)-457-8383 Grow League starts April 4th. It is a 4 week league with a tournament on the 5th week. Entry is $10. (or purchase of a crew box from The Game Table) Each participant chooses a faction and starts with a crew box in that faction. Week 1 will be 25ss crews. Week 2 will be 30ss crews. Week 3 will be 40ss crews. Week 4 will be 50ss crews. You play as many games in a week as you'd like. During the first game in a week, a win gets you 2 League Points (LP), a tie gets 1 LP, and a loss gets 0 LP. Any subsequent games played will receive 1 LP win or lose. (max 2). The Strategies and Schemes for each week will be posted in the Southern Illinois Malifaux Facebook page the tuesday night prior. It will also be available in store at The Game Table. All games must be played at The Game Table to count. At the end of the league who ever has the most LP wins. (additional prizes will be awarded for tournament winner, most Victory Points accrued throughout the league, so make sure to report those! And best painted model determined via majority vote during week 4.) Additional LP can be earned in the following ways: 1.) purchasing a Wyrd product at The Game Table is 2LP (limit once per league) 2.) playing a game with a fully painted crew. 1LP (limit once per league) 3.) Flipping (not cheating) a joker when your opponent flips (not cheats) the opposite joker 1LP (both players earn this) 4.) Play a game without using a SoulStone. 1LP (limit twice per league) 5.) Making custom Scheme Markers (6 or more) 1LP (limit once per league) 6.) Buying, Making, and/or Donating terrain to The Game Table 1LP (Limit once per league) 7.) Chicago’s Polar Vortex Convention takes place from January 26 – 28th. They are hosting a 50ss tournament on January 28th, 2018. Gaining Grounds 2017 Summer Tournament When : July 30, 2017 Where: Top Cut Comics 5600 N 2nd St, Loves Park, IL 61111 What: We are having a summer 2017 standard 50 SS tournament at Top Cut Comics in Loves Park, IL Entry is $5.00 per player which will go to a prize pool plus Official Wyrd tournament prizes. Back by Popular demand. The Malifaux Challenge Board League at Top Cut Comics 5600 N. Second Street Loves Park, IL This will be a 4 week event starting on Friday 02/03/17 and conclude on Friday 03/03/17. This event will utilize the challenge league rules. Players will score points for each level of the board that they advance to and every time a player makes it to the top of the pyramid they will have a chance to win a prize from our WYRD prize support pool. This is a modified Tournament Event. The GG 2017 Rules will be incorporated into this event. Where: Black Dog Hobby and Games 1957 Harlem Rd, Loves Park, IL 61111 When: Sunday 03/05/17 Registration begins at 1:00 PM with the first round starting at 1:30. There will be 3 rounds total with the the first event being a modified enforcer brawl, the second round will be hardcore henchman, followed by the final round consisting of a 50 SS standard game. Players must declare a faction and will play all three rounds with the same faction. The first round all players will be be playing in the same game at the same time. There will be 10 turns to this event with a max time of 50 minutes. Each player may hire up to 3 enforcer models with a SS cost of no more than 10 per model and may purchase one upgrade from the declared faction. Each player is allowed a total of 3 respawns for the match regardless of the number of models hired All models hired for this round MUST be hired in the final round of the tournment. The second round will consist of a Hardcore henchman round (20 SS with a Henchman and 4 models). This will be a 3-4 players per game (depending on the total number of players). The stratgey for this round will be extraction with schemes announced at the tournament. Models hired for this round MUST also be hired in the final round of the tournament. Max number of rounds for this event will be 6 with a max time of 50 Minutes. The third and final round will be a standard 50 SS game, with the exception that any models hired in the previous rounds must also be hired for this round. The stratgey for this round will be Intereference with schemes announced at the tournament. *Note, no scheme will appear more than twice during the tournament. There will be $5 entry fee that will go towards prize support along with additional prizes awarded from our WYRD prize support pool.

Greetings Everyone! On January 26th, 2017 @ 7PM Draxtar Games will be hosting a 4 round Hardcore Henchmen Tournament. Draxtar Games. 1375 Wind Energy Pass, Batavia, IL 60510 The Rules - All Crews must be led by a Henchman, not a Master. - The game size is 20 Soulstones. - All Crews must contain exactly 4 models, no more, no less. - Upgrades may be purchased, as allowed by the standard rules of Malifaux. - The size of a Crew’s Soulstone Pool is limited by the Cache of the Henchman leading it; any Soulstones above this amount are discarded. - Any Actions, Abilities, or Triggers which summon models are considered to be “blank” (they may not be used and have no effect on the game, as if they were not printed on the model). - Only one Scheme will be available. - The same Crew must be used in each round of the event. - There is a $5 buy in for this tournament. Winner will take the pot. Guilders for all attendees. Set Up -Deployment: Close. - Strategy: Hardcore Turf War. - Scheme Pool: Assassinate Strategy: Hardcore Turf War Setup: Place a single Turf Marker at the center of the table. Victory Points: At the end of each Turn, a Crew earns 1 VP if it has 2 or more non-Peon models within 6" of the Turf Marker Scheme: Assassinate This Scheme begins the game unrevealed. If the enemy Leader is killed or sacrificed, reveal this Scheme. If the enemy Leader is killed or sacrificed gain 2 VP. If this happens on or before Turn 4, score 3 VP instead.

Hello fellow Malifaux players! I'm TanakoSkyler22, a 23-year-old student. I played Malifaux since a year or so ago after an impulse buy of The Rail Crew box set. Still a semi-beginner player, with this and Bolt Action becoming the main games I play. Currently play Ten Thunders with going into Neverborn with having won the translucent Pandora Crew box in a raffle the tournament organizer ran after the tournament was done. Each player may only hire/summon models available in a single starter box. (Models that do not come in the starter box may not be hired or summoned.) Example: Player 1 wants to hire Seamus, he may hire 32ss worth of models/upgrades that are available in the Shadows of Redchapel starter box. Player 1 MAY NOT hire a Bette Noir, as she is NOT available in the Shadows of Redchapel starter box. There is a $5 entry fee. The player with the highest differential, will win the pot in store credit. We will be running a grow league starting Jan. 31st in Carbondale Il. at Castle Perilous Books and Games. League will be 5 weeks long and will start at 30ss adding 5 every week to end at 50ss. The regular meeting day will be Sunday, but as long as games are played in the store and are reported to myself of a staff member you can schedule games any time during the week. Fixed faction. This league is geared towards new players and building a bigger local player base, and as such there will be no painting requirements. The Wandering Dragon in Plainfield, IL, will be hosting a Hardcore Henchmen Tournament on April 11th. Sign In at 11:30AM. Tournament starts at noon. $10 entry fee. The tournament will go for 5 rounds, 45 minutes per round with a 15 minute break between rounds. Strategy: Hardcore Turf War. This Strategy uses the Turf War rules(Core Rulebook pg. 66) with the exception that VP may be scored on the first Turn. Scheme Pool: Assassinate (Core Rulebook pg. 68).
