  6. Hi Everyone! From June 27-29, 2014, the first annual RAGECon is going to be held at the Circus Circus Resort & Casino in Reno, NV. There will be tournaments, special events and an Achievement League with daily raffles throughout the convention (sign ups are being handled through Warhorn), which are being generously supported by Wyrd, event sponsors and local stores. There will be no entry fees for any of the events and tournaments, but there are some registration costs associated with the convention (details are available on their website). Please do sign up at your earliest convenience if you're interested in attending so we can have a good idea on potential turnout. You will have to wait to get approval to sign up after registering with Warhorn because of the way the site works, but it would be tremendously helpful to me and the convention organizers if you would do so. Circus Circus is offering discounted hotel rates for attendees (there's a link to the reservation system on the RAGECon homepage as well). We're less than 2 hours from Sacramento (I plan to be at Califaux with some of our local players in a couple weeks) and 3-4 hours from most places in the Bay Area, and I know there are regular buses running from those places to the nearby bus station if you're not inclined to drive up yourself. 7. Hello all! Let me just start by saying that I love the official forums here. They are great and all, but for some reason, it feels a little too disorganized and lacking in features for Vassal players to get together and play. Out-dated posts, constantly have to go to the forums just to check to see if something new was posted, and the major missing element: Notifications. How great would it be if there was one place to post events, meet new Vassal players, and have a tight nit community where everyone can easily discuss all things Malifaux Vassal and be notified when someone responds? Well, in an attempt to streamline the Malifaux Vassal community that currently exists here on the offical forums, I decided to create a Google+ Community dedicated exclusively to those who love to play Malifaux via the Vassal system. If you're familiar at all with Google+, then you are more than likely familiar with the Communities feature that's built into it. Create new discussions, events, share your strategy to other players for that specific master all in one convenient place. The best part, better engagement in discussions of all these things come completely natural, and you're aware when someone responds to something you posted immediately via email or notifications on your mobile device. No more having to go to the forums to just check to see if you got a response to one of your posts. Now, don't get me wrong, I know the forums are a tight nit group in of itself and it definitely works for most things and I would never try to incite a "coup" against the forums, but our community could be so much more than just the forums. All that being said, if you're a Google+ user, or was looking for an excuse to check it out, join the Google+ Community I created here: https://plus.google.com/communities/107982058459975020448 Definitely always looking for feedback to make the Community page better so don't hesitate to make suggestions. ^.^

I am moving to Memphis and have been unable to locate either a store which supports Malifaux or a place, or group to play with. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  9. Are there any active players still in the southern Maine area that would be interested in playing? I know Crossroad Games in Standish has plenty of space and some awesome terrain for about 30 40k players. The problem is that the group has dried up and moved away. I know there are a few people who have minis and would like to play, I think they just need some incentive, like watching someone play on a regular basis. So, are there any players who would be interested in meting once a week in southern Maine (or every other week, Im flexible)?
  10. I was curious about how people play their games. In almost all the battle reports I've read, the games I've played and, of course, the few tournies I've played in special terrain and events have never been used. So I'm curious is to how many people do use them or is it a "nice idea" but not practical since there is a growing level of competitiveness to this game and people tend to play more in a tournie mind-set and not a really casual "let's play the story" mind-set. At least as I have seen. Our group has been using the special terrains/events every once in a while and they tend to lead to some colorful games for sure. Thoughts?
