  1. Hi! I know this thread is old, but if you're still searching for games out west people tend to gravitate towards Midian (store in Ravenhall) but their opening times are patchy. We've got a small community forming via facebook for wargames in general, and there's a handful of Malifaux 3E players that regularly attend a club night every thursday. Its at a brewery in spotswood, if you search "Westgate Wargaming Club" on facebook you can join the group. Myself and one other malifaux player go every week so we almost guarantee a M3E game each time.
  2. G'day everyone! I made this account purely so I can ask you all one very important question: How do you beat Nekima as Tara? I've tried far too many times (and failed) and as someone still fairly new to 3E I'd love any and all advice on what schemes are best, model picks, and any baseline "must do-s" each game as Tara. I've been learning her the hard way and threw myself in the deep end, I've been holding up pretty well against some other crews and I feel fairly confident in how fast I'm learning that I can adapt to a variety of other situations. Nekima just kicks my ass consistently and its an absolute thrashing each time. I've tried shaking things up a bit each time I've grudge matched my opponent who plays her, and the things I'm noticing and struggling with the most are: -I'm either using talos very poorly or he's not a good pick for Nekima, I tend to lose him fast or end up in an engagement with a mature that just puts him in a gridlock -In general I struggle a lot to combat the crew in fights, I'm wondering if its not worth trying to fight the harder hitting models (mature neph) and if just avoiding is better? The mobility and damage potential scares me a lot and I feel if I completely avoid engagements, its only a matter of time before I'm run down and overpowered (my opponent typically brings 1 mature and grows a 2nd, or brings 2 and uses black blood to do a lot of splash damage and healing. I can never escape lol) -Aionus performs amazingly late game, but I'd love a sanity check because I don't know if using him purely to unbury friendlies (and gain pass tokens) is enough early game? I've also had some luck recently using him to charge a friendly and give them fast, but if anyone else has any tips for him I'd appreciate it. -I love the Nothing Beast but half the time he feels like a wet noodle - I feel like he's got real potential but I'm just not executing things well enough. I'm aware of his synergy with Tara being able to give things fast and her remove it and pass onto friendlies, but I struggle a lot to pull the moves off. Getting the right card for the trigger on Timeslip late turn has been difficult, is this worth using a stone for? I often rely on the deck and end up pulling a card with too low value or I spend the cards in my hand on something else earlier in the round. -I have very bad luck and my opponent keeps passing their TN14 WP duels please help -If there's general advice on how many soul stones other players take each game I'd love to hear it too! I've been slowly taking more each game I play and trying to summon more often to compensate for the model count but I'd love to know if there's a general rule of thumb on this. Tara world champions I need your strength
