Seconding the resin for minis, FDM for terrain and/or functional things. I have a (SLA, resin) mars 2 pro that I like, I've been running it for a few years now and other than breaking the LCD screen once it's been real solid. I do like siraya tech fast for resin, but lately I've been mixing it with siraya tenacious for a little bit of flexibility/less likely to break. The only thing I would say I might regret a little is not waiting and getting a larger one, as sometimes I want to print vehicles like airships or whatnot and pieced out that takes a very long time.
