Hey guys! So I recently got in with malifaux and whereas I love the app, there is something so much more satisfying with having the card to look at. Having said that, most of the lots I bought to get into the game were from second edition, so a lot of the Resurrectionists I have are out of date. I was going to order from Wargame Vault, but after everything was said and done, my order total was going to wind up being over 80 dollars. I looked and saw there was a faction pack, but when I went to look for it, it was sold out everywhere. Does anyone know if it's just a temporary thing, or have the faction packs been completely discontinued? Thanks for your time and help.

Possibly interested in some of the Urami crew and the bag. Are they still available? Also, what all do you have on cards? I need quite a bit of the ressers faction, as I just got in, bought a few lots, and found out most of it was second edition, so I need the updated stuff.

I was mostly planning on putting a buzzsaw in one of her hands and maybe some goggles on her, though I may take a look at some of those suggestions as they may be easier (and markedly cheaper) than alt Nicodem.

Ah, okay, so in this particular instance, it would be a negative, ghost rider. Though it does beg the question on if I can create a suitable female Sebastian counterpart. The main reason I thought alt Nicodem would be a good choice was because Nicodem is dead in the lore, and isn't officially allowed in tournament play.

So I recently got into Malifaux. I bought a big Ressers lot, and most of it is pretty standard stuff., a little bit of stuff here and there from 2nd Edition that I need to update to 3rd. However, the guy I bought it off of was making a custom conversion all girls group for Dr. McMourning. I love the idea, and would like to finish it, but I wanted to ask what the "Count-As" rules in Malifaux are? I am looking at the old Alt Nicodem figure to finish off the group, as well as a few other alts I like, but I didn't know what the counts as rules would be, especially in tournament play. I figure that so long as it is clearly marked what she is and who she counts as that it shouldn't be a big deal, but I wanted to make sure just in case it was a major no go for big events, as I would eventually like to play in a bigger tournament. I also wondered about what the rule on conversions are? For example, the Death Marshals are some of my favorite models in the game, but I play ressers. However, we get the forgotten Marshal. I like his model well enough, but it feels like it would work better with an angry fiery skull head on it. Just wanted to see if that was a-okay as well. Thanks for any help in advance!

Nice! I really appreciate the advice. I did go ahead and pick up a copy of "The Lost" only because it seems hard to find and it was on ebay for 5 bucks under MSRP, but I totally agree. That said, I think the Experimental keyword stuff was primarily an all girl version conversion (Pretty cool idea actually) so that one may be a bit of a mishmash. So here's what I got. Ah, I see! I actually just got very lucky and was able to pick up a sizable lot of Resurrectionists including Reva, McMourning, Kirai, and Molly, along with quite a bit of extra stuff. I guess I'm wondering what I need now? It seems like a majority of what was in the lot is 2nd edition, so it looks like a need Ba Sue and the Seishins box from 2nd ed. Do I need the 3rd edition Resser cards and the Resser faction book? Also, it seems like "The Lost" box with Archie in it is really amazing for Molly but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Did it get released already or is it just not in print right now?

A lot of people seem to be saying that Reva requires a lot of non-keyword boxes. Does anyone know what those are?

So I'm new to the game, and I'm stuck between three masters. I really like the Resurrectionists, the Neverborn, and the Arcanists. Specifically, I really like Sandeep, Reva, Molly and Euripedes. Right now, I love the Elemenatals of Sandeep. The thought of being able to summon little ice, fire, and metal monsters is super cool, and I like the Indian aesthetic of Banasuva and the rest of his crew a lot. I like the theme of Reva (Necromancer Nun is awesome) and whereas normal Molly is cool, if they ever release the Brine and Bones box again, I would love the undead pirate theme is just AMAZING, and of course ice trolls are just super cool with Euripedes. I guess I was looking at buying one of those boxes to start the game, but I was wondering how I would go about expanding each box and what the pros, cons, and investment on each would be as well as how competitively viable each master is? I have heard Sandeep is a little more expensive due to his summoning mechanic, but beyond that, I don't know much. Any help is really appreciated!
