  1. I cant take a doxy without slapping on a GST, it's just so nasty....unless theres alot of ruthless, then it's only meh xD
  2. It really was best case scenario for me, and I was on a - most duels due to vent steam haha but I used focus/red chapple killer to help deal with it
  3. I got extremely lucky that when I used intuition, I had a 13, 2, and RJ, so even if I did get put on a neg, I still got 9 damage.
  4. Well from what I've read on here, you're pretty good, so I'm glad the advice I gave was about word for word what ya said too. Although, relying on SS flips can be kinda gambling. I know you say it's an easy thing to do, but bad stuff happens too, and taking all Henchmen or in the case of arcanists, take an upgrade, and you flip that weak, what else can you do to help mitigate the high spike? Do you find this is enough to slow down the cannon that is Seamus?
  5. The lures/take by the hand definitely helped since he needed to dedicate atleast two models to score a leyline since he would need something to Magnetize I believe is the name of the ability, to reposition or toss the stone to score. He got 3 since his crew can still just walk out of engagements, or have other ways to push but it started being a problem when he only had 3 models XD aaaaaand he got spread them out early since his crew is just so fast until you start taking away some of the models. He had the early VP lead, which I expected but then Seamus killed Rider, Kang, 1 Gamin and a Survivor and then I won
  6. I ended up playing Seamus vs Mei this week, it ended 7-4. We called it at the end of turn 4 since he only had Mei at 2hp, Metal golem and a gamin left. It was Corrupted Leylines, with Hidden Martyrs, Assassinate, Leave your Mark, Spread them out, and let them bleed. I took Leave your Mark and Assassinate while my opponent took spread them out and leave your mark I believe? Was a good game, but seamus went on a killing spree as usual 😛
  7. I think Reva is also good against Kaeris as I find the injured to not be as big of a deal in ressers since most of the time we getting hit anyways 😛 Jack Daw realllllllly craps on Toni and her crews mechanic as you often target Mv instead of Df/Wp. Mcmourning/ Seamus is pretty good against Hoffman as you either ignore armor or have a cannon xD
  8. Reva is becoming my favorite go to, when before it was Yan Lo. She just feels so versatile and her crew options are really good I think. Plus with the speed she has, rider, wanyudo, etc you can do about everything with ease, scheme and strat wise.
  9. I'll have to force myself to try em out more, they just seem so meh to me. Do you ever slap GST on em or do you find they are pretty good one their own? As for alpha strikes, I tend to use Toshiro+ Ashigaru to stop them and I find it works really well. Do you find they compare or is it mostly about the take a hit for you?
  10. I'd use Rider more but I dont wanna demoralize em too bad haha I'd also use bone piles but I'm dreading putting them together and work has been brutal. How are you using Shieldbearers? They never seem to do much for me
  11. This week I ended up with this list and it was fun/stupid: Reva+ candles with whisper Bete Grave golem Draugr w/GST Restless spirit Emissary Lots of versatile and they should slap keyword on Bete cuz I'm taking her forever with Reva haha I want to try a zombie horde crew with Asura, just waiting for the right pool to come up and I wanna get Anna for it as well
  12. That suuuuuucks, emissary is pretty much an auto include for me. You can still play without one, but you'll notice the difference
  13. I really do like a doxie or two with GST. It's just such a pain for your opponent to kill. Dandies can be good as a cheap significant model, that can produce corpses/ remove scheme markers, and sometimes a belle can be nice. I always take emissary with him for sure though.
  14. Honestly, love his keyword but I usually run them based on the match. They can be brutal but requires alot of knowledge I think, and some versatile and OoK picks I think.
  15. I flip flop between ressers and Neverborn and this weeks forum is really making me wanna play ressers my next game haha
  16. Honestly ressers is the only faction I constantly look OoK and versatiles, a bunch. We just have so many good models, and especially models that deal with niche circumstances while still being worth it, with the tax. As for models I constantly look at, Emissary and Rider are almost always looked at for me, then if I have a minion heavy list or need to hold a spot, my man Toshiro does the job.
  17. Kentauroi are absolutely disgusting and put out so much damage. 1 is definitely worth it, two is sometimes, maybe. I like to throw GST on one, or if I run two, I'll put it on both. It adds some additional protection for them. They will die fast if focused down, so try to use them to hunt scheme runners and stay at the edge of the fight if ya can. Plus they are super fast in a average/slow crew. Suppose I should mention gassers. Again 2 is a maybe sometimes, but having a 4ss flying, significant model is useful. As for pumping out poison, it's pretty decent at giving your crew poison at start of turn 1, give out some and maybe scoot em up the board for late turn 2 when stuff is bunched up. Fly in and give things poison 2 and its unresisted. It's not crazy strong, but they can make the difference in the right game.
  18. Hmmmmm, I'd say highly pool dependent for me, and what I own. I dont have Daw, Kirai and Professor, and Molly I'm still struggling with. Although if I ever dont know what to pick and they pick Guild...Yan lo is comfort zone plus he's pretty able to handle most things without too much struggle, is fast, tanky, etc.
  19. Man, I'm just slipping this week haha Uhm well, I guess I'll start with Sonnia, since itll be quick. Run Manos and they'll be sad xD The crew itself is aggressive and Thralls hit stupidly hard, but any sort of movement tricks to move outside of demise ranges or ya know, Manos, it'll go relatively easily I feel. Oh and condition removal! Nurse works great since its burning and she has Assist. My most played against Guild master, Hoffman, is known for his mostly crew wide armor +2 and at the start of his turn, handing out power tokens. Power tokens give a + to a duel or a suit. His crew on paper looks slow, but trust me, it's not lol they have ALOT of little pushes and with Hunters having Deadly Pursuit, they can scheme alright, imo. Bringing armor ignore CAN be helpful, but be aware Hoffman can full heal anything in his crew, guaranteed, even flipping BJ since there is no TN for it and has the suit built in to increase the healing by +1 and its armor cant be ignored until endphase. That being said, Hoffman is the center of this crew and he cant make himself immune to armor ignore, and he has df4, with only protected and armor +2 keeping him alive. Kill Hoffman and the crew is sad without power tokens. On to the probably most popular Guild master imo, Lady J. Lady J herself is a very fast master, often doing 4 attacks, at min 3, + to damage, and when she kills stuff, they dont drop markers. Shes about as anti Ressers as can be, and her keyword shares her hatred of undead. One of our masters, McMourning, gets countered pretty hard by her, imo, as she ends all conditions within 6 as an action and if they are undead or incorporeal, it gets even worse, with a tn 14 wp for 2 damage and injured 2! You think, well, I could just run some living models to avoid some of the headaches. WRONG. She has models that can give out the undead characteristic, and if you're living and near a Domindores, you're automatically considered undead. Now there's 2 models that I'm going to cover because they are almost guaranteed to be ran and against Ressers or undead heavy crew, theres another. First the Lone Marshal, is a quick gunner with incredible stats. At 6df and wp and 7 move, hes getting around and will stick around. He has Run and Gun, so on a charge, with his 14 range gun, he covers a wide area and it's on a freaking stat 7! I forgot to mention it earlier, but her crew also has HtW as a defense, and that's about it. Now the next model on the list is the biggest problem in the crew and needs to die quickly, Domador. There are 3 things this model brings to the table and all of them are bad for you. It has the aura of 5in that turns living into undead while they are in it, they have an undead only obey, and the biggest issue, Decay. It's a stat 6, range 8, with a ram built in, attack action. It does 2b/2b/3b and models damaged by it gains injured 1. Not so bad, but it's the trigger that changes that. Friendly models that would be damaged, are instead healed 2. So it's pretty efficient to be able to damage a model, put injured on it, and blast on to your own models to heal 2. Theres a few things to do about them, such as putting stunned on them to remove the heal or anti heal auras make them less of a problem. This crew needs the healing I find, so shutting down healing and triggers, cripples most things, but hits this crew especially hard. Now for the situational model, Exorcists. They are Ruthless, an aura that damages summons, and gunfighter. So their attack, Sanctified crossbow, is pretty mean against our poor undead as it base, ignores HtW and Incorporeal, with deadly triggers all around. On the first two triggers, the target has to be undead, one giving adversary and a push, one is execute but just for undead, and the last kills summons with upgrades attached, automatically. So what can ya do? As said, shutting down healing and triggers is pretty brutal against the crew. If your crew can put out alot of focus, that'll help deal with their HtW. If I were to target things, depending on the list, Domadors and Lone Marshal are usually at the top of my priority. If they dive too hard with Lady J, punish her! Something I like doing to slow her down, killing my crew, is kidnap her away with Rider or maybe Yin to make her move inefficiently. The reason for that is itll make her use her leap, or she'll have to disengage if she wants to leave, and it may make her have to charge to be a bit more efficient, thus making her lose her + to damage from Greatsword. Now, she can just decide to murder whatever kidnapped her away but atleast it's not a guaranteed thing haha As for matchups, I'd say Seamus, Yan lo, and Professor have the best matchups against her keyword. Professor's keyword hands out stunned somewhere, so as mentioned, that's nice. Seamus is Seamus and can murder about anything lol As for Yan lo, his crew is just beefy and even if they do kill high priority targets, you can just resurrect them lol
  20. Tbh, I've only run a shieldbearer twice, and never got much use out of it, but could see it being useful to push stuff/ take a hit
  21. I really like running 1 with GST every game. It always pumps out damage for me and usually gets a few pyres out there! After playing ressers for so long, having df 5 at a + often too, it feels busted lol
  22. Shoot, I knew I forgot something this week haha, work has been hectic! Ended up playing against Toni Ironsides vs Reva. Score was 7-5, being a loss for me :c Her keyword having positives to duels is always a headache but by the end it was just Toni at 3-4 wounds, Rider and Howard at low wounds too. Ended up flipping some unfortunate black jokers, letting them live. As for the crews and game, lemme see if I can remember. Wedge, Symbols Breakthrough, Claim Jump, Vendetta, Catch and Release, Research Mission Reva Crew: Reva+Candles Rider w/Whisper Wanyudo Draugr w/GST Restless Spirit Vincent w/Whisper Toni Crew: Toni+Mouse Gunsmith x2 both w/MT Rider Howard Effigy w/upgrade
  23. Hoffman can make it so armor cant be ignored and has lots of healing, so analyze weakness, I find, is mostly bad against him.
  24. Well, as my regular opponent plays Guild 90% of the time, and more so Lady J, I'll post later afternoon/tonight about how it goes, as Mondays are my Faux days If by some miracle, I dont have to do the Reva vs Lady J matchup again, or dont fight Guild at all, I'll try to write up my last few experiences with em!
  25. I really love playing Reva versatile, but Lampads need some love for sure. Lately, the part of her keyword I run is usually Restless Spirit and Draugr, the rest I dont really miss. Her keyword just needs a nudge I think, or maybe just a model or two but something is definitely missing
