There's also Torment clarification:
Torment – If a model gains an Upgrade during the same Activation it was damaged by a model with Torment, will the model with Torment draw a card at the end of the Activation? a) Yes. At the end of a model with the Torment Ability’s Activation, it checks all models it damaged during that Activation. If any models damage currently have an Upgrade, the model with Torment will draw a card.
Adding to the main post.

May or may not be significant errata:
-
Replace Errata: Straightened out what happens to all of those rats.
-
If Hamelin uses Unclean Influence and a Malifaux Rat performs Tangle Together, if any replaced model has Activated, the Rat King has Activated.
- But a Malifaux Rat can use Tangle Together during its own Activation and continue as a Rat King even other rats have Activated.
- There's no longer any question about what happens to tokens (like Blight Tokens) during a multiple model replace.

Good break down, I'll add the replace errata above.

from FAQ for completeness 😛
If a model is unaffected by Concealing Terrain, does it still gain Concealment from enemy Actions that draw LoS through that Concealing Terrain?
a) Yes. Being unaffected by Concealing Terrain does not prevent a model from gaining Concealment from enemy models drawing LoS through that terrain. Being unaffected by Concealing terrain allows the model to ignore the Concealing trait when it is drawing LoS to other models.

FAQ
1. Hannah Lovelace – Can the Adaptive Tactics Action be used to take a General Tactical Action?
a) No. General Actions (while available to be taken by every model) are not specific to a model and are not one of that model’s Actions.
2. Jack Daw – If Jack Daw suffers irreducible damage, can the Undying Ability still be used to change the damage suffered to 1?
a) Yes. Undying does not reduce damage suffered but instead changes the damage suffered to 1.
3. Leveticus – If Leveticus is taking the Sanguine Evocations Action while he has 2 or less Health, can he choose to discard 2 or more cards, even though the damage from the Action would kill him?
a) Yes. While models cannot choose to suffer damage that would kill them; in the Sanguine Evocations Action, Leveticus is not choosing to suffer any damage and is instead choosing how many cards to discard.
There's also Torment clarification:

Rulebook errata
Pg 32. Replace The Rules and Steps for replacing models were adjusted to the following:
1. Place each new model into base contact with any of the original models. If any cannot be Placed or cannot be added due to model limits, the Replace effect is canceled.
2.Each new model’s Health is set to the total Health of all original model’s combined or to the new model’s maximum Health, whichever is lower. If the Replace effect Heals any new models, those new models Heal at this point.
3. If any original model(s) had any Conditions or Tokens, one new model gains those Conditions at the same value (if any) and all Tokens. These Conditions, if gained during the End Phase, do not resolve their effects. Any Summon Upgrades Attached to any original model is Attached to that new model (if able); all other Upgrades are discarded.
4.If the new and original models belong to the same Crew, one new model becomes the target of any effects that targeted or chose any original models, such as Schemes, Leader designation, or lasting game effects. That new model is always considered a legal target for those effects.
5. Remove all original models from the game. If the new and original models do not belong to the same Crew, all original models are considered to be killed, ignoring Demise Abilities. No game effects (such as placing Markers or scoring points) occur from the original model being removed.
6.If any new model is at 0 Health, it is killed.
7.If any original model(s) had Activated, all new models are treated as having Activated; otherwise, new models are considered not to have Activated. If this Replace occurred during an original model’s Activation, one new model may instead continue that Activation using any remaining Actions.

WELCOME TO MALIFAUX
Frontier is a good starting pick, mostly because it is also a part of the Explorer's Society, which is the new faction that is being slowly introduced. So if you like Basse you have an in for both Guild and Explorer's if you want.
As far as crew complexity goes - I always suggest that instead of looking at cards you look at which minis you like the best. But I'm a very tactile person and prefer to play with things i like the look or story of instead of what is hard/easy/good/bad.
I don't know if you have a friend or a club that's already playing or getting into the game with you, but ways to slowly get to grips with the game and your crew specifically is to look at smaller games and then build up from there to a full 50ss game.
If you're part of a club see if they have a slow grow campaign or something similar planned? Maybe check for smaller point games or Henchmen Hardcore.
Ask questions on the forums or the FB if you get stuck, the community is in general very friendly.
If you like podcasts you could also find some that are very informative and fun to listen to.
All, in all welcome and enjoy the ride!

I also seem to have less success with Glimpse than others, so often don't have buried models to target. I do agree with the suggestion to clear an area of models to restrict their glimpse unbury options. (Its not always easy to do, btu the fewer choices you give your opponent, the less likely they will have a good one)
I've been thinking I'm using it wrong! Don;t even know when last I actually got Glimpse off on an enemy, it's been a great resource drain though so still happy to use it every chance i get 🙂

The speed itself is actually a very good argument for it

A&D won't be able to reform if I understand it correctly as it wont be able to summon the Dust Storm?
Barbaros might be the better pick - or playing the Deso defensively focusing on the healing triggers instead of the killing triggers?

I think your opponent was trying to bait you and you made a mistake by not killing golem. Loosing Joss before he could even activate on turn 3 could be disastrous and lead to a snowball effect due to the way how schemes and strats are scored in 3rd ed (you can't score half of the scheme points before the game ends, and you need to put more and more effort to score strategy every turn). Had it been turn 4, not turn 2, then securing the point would have been more reasonable.
Nope, that Golem was dead.
It wasn't a competitive game by any definition - so discussing the game and finding the better play is a learning experience for both.

I might have the exact details mixed up. Was late (both in real time and in the game) I do recall my opponent was thinking of using the force field to rid the tokens but then couldn't (failed). Guess it was the other way around. Melissa got commanded into Joss. Will keep the "cannot charge" in mind next time. Because I also used Joss' robo-obey on the Whiskey Golem, although itwas out of melee range.
Either way, Joss ended up hurting her feelings a bit by exploding right next to her, instead of 2" away from Brewmaster and Fingers as he was supposed to.
Joss was pushed out by Brewmaster defensive trigger.
Fingers wanted to get the shielded but failed to offer a drink to Joss.edit: though I'm pretty sure i messed it up in the last turn vs Melissa.

Google is your friend, and Angel Giraldez (who, as an Infinity player I assume you're familiar with) has been painting up a lot of the Malifaux models recently so I would imagine there will be some form of painted models gallery in the not-too-distant future. Don't quote me on that though!
Angel has actually been putting up some painted crew boxes on his Facebook recently - his Mercenary crew is making it very hard to not pick up another Viks box

By @Ezuma in the Titania thread : "Expect to lose a lot, but try to learn from each loss and with each action always think 'how does this help me score?'"
I just felt this was great advice for the game in general

From the sounds of that the Ronin would have gone through just about any model they faced in those turns, getting 10points of damage in 1 activation is going to kill most things, even without the armour ignoring capabilities.
Weeeeell... She had help to be fair
It really was 3 activations, one of which was a master activation, and 3 soulstones used for triggers:
Ronin 1 engages the hunter and softens him up, this ronin didn't survive the turn.
Ronin 2 engages and finishes off hunter and uses "Reposition" trigger to engage Josh.
Viktoria Chambers charges Josh and uses her full turn to attack and spends 3 stones for the "That One Counts as Mine" trigger each time to enable the Ronin.

Malifaux is a game which is at the same time the easiest as well as the most complex skirmish game that I am currently playing - which to be fair is probably one of the reasons that I enjoy the game as much as I do.
I'm still fairly new though and still have lots to learn, to that extent could everybody post one or two tips that you found helped your gameplay or helped you get better at Faux?
I'll start off with 2 of my own:
1. Have a plan - when building your list have a plan for what each model is supposed to do to score you point, align your hires to the strats and schemes.2. Abandon your plans! - Bad Things happen and not all plans will survive contact with the enemy. If you hire something with a specific task in mind, be willing to reassess and not fixate on the original plan. This is hard for me, as I have a tendency to plan beater X to engage / kill something and if that doesn't work I waste time trying to force it >.<

Not sure which are the hard counters to Leveticus. Do you mean any anti-demise tech?
Yeah, my first game of Leve VS Ressers he brought Manos and co. in Transmortis and a bad time was had by all 😛
Mostly to blame is my inexperience at facing Ressers - will definitely play that game different in future. -

Levi and Tara are probably the best masters in faction (maybe Zipp too, but why play him in outcasts?).
Levi's keyword is filled with amazing models like Rusty, A&D and Necropunks and Levi counters so many things by having irreducible attacks.
Tara + Aionus can dominate Corrupted Idols like nobody else by spamming pass tokens and she has so much AP + mobility that she can easily get VP on her own.
Although they are both countered heavily by certain factions (Tara into guild and Levi into thunders/ressurs) you might be cover all of your bases using Levi for guild and Tara for Thunders/Ressurs (although Tara struggles with Kirai, who doesn't?).
Tara and Levi are my to main masters in Outcasts, I love how both play and also that they play so vastly different to each other.
You are completely right about the hard counters to them though so they are rather hard to play into those factions.
if you are only going to pick up 2 masters (yeah right) they are a good two to have.
