  1. Hey guys, while checking about the pre order on wayland games, I saw a few things : Ivan's core box looks like it will be release at the end of February : here So is the faction starter box : here (there's also the outcast one) But there's also an "Anya core box" : here I don't recall seeing any preview on someone with that name. So it would be one of the 3 masters we haven't heard from yet? There's also a "dirty work" box (probably some DUA models for Ivan) and the Malisaurus Rex for the end of January
  2. Nice catch @Adran & @ShinChan. Indeed you can't directly use syphon power like this, but you can use syphon power on Nexus then use we are legion. So you can only do this indirect usage once per model
  3. Sounds like a very interesting master to play! Parasite your ennemies, use them to get a suit/reduce damage/draw LOS from. Spread your influence & use the upgrade's action to do some last minute positionning/interaction at the the of the turn (I'm guessing what she summons is insignificant, hence the trigger to ignore that)
  4. If I remember correctly, I think that during the beta they said by your side was added to the undergraduate to get more usage of made to kill (at least it was one of the reasons). So it would look like the intended ruling was that they are able to. But with the rule as written, the mention of resolving the current action might go either way. You could consider it as "you need to have an action so that you can fullfill the after the current action clause" or you could see it as "if there is an action being resolved, you finish it before you do the bonus attack, but if there isn't a current action, then you can attack right away before waiting for anything to finish resolving)
  5. Indeed, you activate them all after the end of Dead Rider's activation :
  6. Yeah that's why I asked, I thought you might mean using it on himself. And as someone else pointed out, you can't target yourself with an attack ^^ Still I wanted to make sure what you meant before answering (but then I got no internet for the whole week end so that's that ). In any case, very interesting guide! The movement trick with the undergraduates (push one model put keep in range of another model to push him too), and using a student of sinew to get Vale back are definitly things I want to add to my toolbox (especially since I've never used a student of sinew for now and thought it was a bit too sad they never got out )
  7. What upgrade to you tend to put on the Dead Rider so that VS can give him fast?
  8. Just a small remark on this : Anna is construct too and so can get healed by the student of steel. A small question : I'm not sure what you mean by this when talking about the Whisper upgrade on Schtook : What is using administrative review has to do with schtook having suffered damage?
  9. Yeah I just saw the upcoming page too! I'm eager to play Lord Cooper and his crew The faction book will be nice too to see all the other masters and getting some lore on them all!
  10. I have a bunch of them and I really like them! I didn't use other tokens so I don't have much point of comparison though. They look good, it's quite easy to tell them appart. The counters for conditions with a value turn well and stay pretty well on the value you set (not turning by itself as soon as you move them a bit) and are magnetized, so you can stack those to store them. I like their tokens for things like underbrush makers or other non blocking terrain some models can create too. Since they are clearly showing what they are, and are just a flat token, it's both clear there's terrain there and what type it is. But for blocking terrain like ice pillars for instance, I prefer to have an actual physical, 3D representation of them so it's clear you can't move/see through that
  11. It's a risk I'm willing to have them take! But joke aside I was expecting something like the whole faction cards to become available at once. But it doesn't hurt to ask
  12. They look great! Is there any chance the cards will be added to the drop box with all the other M3E cards soon? or will that happens when the Explorer's society is released?
  13. Oh yeah it is after resolving! That's pretty nice
  14. Nice find! When getting fast from a relic from McCabe, they will be able to go so far between their Mv6 and ride with me The healing trigger on ride with me sounds nice too, especially since they can use it on themselves and heal +1 I don't play either Frontier or Wastrel but I can see them being a decent addition to those crews
  15. I've just noticed that Model 9 has the execute trigger on on his melee attack. Combined with the Malisaurus Rex's bonus action that gives + to friendly attack actions targetting ennemies within range, the stat 6 on Model 9's melee action, and the predatory instinct ability to get a on attack for a on damage, this can be a decent combo to force a few stone/card discard to avoid the trigger's immediate death. PS : the Ullr link above does not contain the back of this card, you can see it there : His hold down trigger on is pretty nice too btw (especially since Lord Cooper shooting action is once per activation, not per turn)
  16. You might want to hide those images behind a spoiler section so that others don't get too creeped out then
  17. I might go with Molly in this case. If the scenario requires a lot of mobility to go put scheme markers all over the place, she definitely has the mobility to do so. If the scenario is more killy, you can take rabble risers and have a lot of focus on them, which will help against hard to wound a bit. Mc Mourning might be a good pick too, considering he himself ignores hard to wound, and he & his crew will use poison a lot, which doesn't care about that, or incorporeal. I would like to say student of sinew might be a decent pick with the card draw upon killing an undead model, or command corpse. But with command corpse requiring a 6, I'm not so sure. The flay trigger on his melee action could be useful though. I would definitely think of bringing Von Schtook if I thought the ennemy would bring him as well though, to use the students of steel against the transmortis' armor (and for the fun of having some weird encounter when each players tries to summon out of killing the ennemy models, trying to go for the one with the lecture upgrade ).
  18. In the ressers, you can add : the new Molly box Molly Necrotic Machine Philip and the Nanny 3 rabble risers What I assume will be all in Mc Mourning new box : Mc Mourning Sebastian Chihuahua 3 flesh constructs The remaining transmortis students so that heach minion has its own model : 1 student of viscera 2 students of steel 2 students of sinew In neverborn there's the primordial magic (now Euripides' totem)
  19. I think I would try to go for Von Schtook, with Emissary to add another model with flight & the movement aura. That way with the emissary & valedictorian, I got 2 flight models, with research assistant & emissary, 2 +1Mv aura. Depending on the schemes & the ennemy crew I would go for necropunks to leap or undergraduates to push von schtook more (I would still take one to help VS get around the train.) Though if the strategy & schemes really don't have much killing but are more about moving all over the place, then I could very well go for Molly, with at least 2 night terrors to profit from their huge movement potential & flight. I would probably take crooligans too but I'm not sure I would take Archie to use by your side on them, since the leap can be tough to get. I might try Phillip instead, with his deadly pursuit and his ability to profit from the Night Terror's fading ability, he should have the movement to get around the train if needed.
  20. So you're saying it should have the action "POWERFUL frantic flailing", then?
  21. I wonder if the model is going to be flat or have some crevices or something to represent the rune
  22. Don't forget the "hold down" trigger on Ullr's trapping jaws for another bonus shot! For the hunters ability with traps, fortunately for the opponent, he can discard a card to prevent being shot. So I'm thinking that this ability might be more of a board control/resource consumption forced on the ennemy (you can't go there or you'll get shot/loose a card). Then again the bear trap launcher trigger on the hunters puts it in base contact with the ennemy, so he can't really avoid it. And with intimidating roar on Artemis, the tendrils & tail whip on the malifausaurus rex, and other move/push effect on other models, you can force the ennemy into the trap. Combined with the crypsis corps' beneath the leaves ability, that increases the range of concealing, severe & hazardous terrain for ennemies, it feels like playing the traps well might take a bit of getting used to, and have a big potential to be a huge pain to deal with. I'd say that is why I'm even more interested in the crew now. I initially was into it for the "big game hunter" vibe and the prospect of having a shooty crew (which I don't have right now), with some potential beasts here & there to go engage ennemies. But when seeing the trap shenaningans, the move/push options (for your models or the ennemies) on a lot of models, the auras of the M-Rex or Model 9 to help target ennemies around them, and also these really interesting totems, the crew seems to have a really interesting way to play that will not be much straight forward. I'm looking forward to see more of the explorer's society, including the upgrades & versatile models!
  23. Oh I see. Then yeah it can definitely be used like that. I'm guessing using them to get killed by ennemies, by Lord Cooper, or make them leave the board will be important decisions in the crew
  24. What rumor? if you mean the deployment on the centerline, it's true. But they are insignificant, so don't get your hopes up too much to put scheme markers all over the place. FYI they showed the cards during yesterday's game :
  25. On the GenCon event thread, it was said you could : here
