Well according to @Adran above, Wyrd apparently actively avoids them because it's too difficult to sort out who would be entitled to what as the creator of the idea. 🙄 I have some suggestions about how to get past that too, but I'll refrain from going into detail right here and now. I'll edit my OP to make it more accurate given @Adran's information. If anyone would like to discuss the fan-made idea of a Gremlin Mud Gamin, with the caveat that it is not likely to ever be officially created, please feel free.

There's a conversation going on in the Arcanists forum where fans are posting ideas for concepts for new models they'd like to see in future. Edit: this is just for fun, there is no expectation that fan ideas will ever be officially created by Wyrd. When @retnab mentioned the many Gamin in TTB that haven't yet made an appearance in Malifaux, I thought it was important to share them out among the factions where appropriate to fluff. We know from the Backdraft box that Gremlins are soon to get Whiskey Gamin. What do you think of Gremlin Mud Gamin? They sound like they'd be at home on the Bayou! Would they have the Swampfiend characteristic? What would their statline and abilities look like? Have fun, Gremlin aficionados!

Hmm. I don't think Arcanists should get all of the Gamin. With the coming Whiskey Gamin, now there's precedent for other factions having a slice of the Gamin pie too. Darkness & Terror sound like obvious Neverborn. Decay, obvious Resser. Spirit, possibly Ten Thunders or Resser with the Retainer characteristic? Infected, maybe Outcasts along with the rats and Winged Plague? Oh, and while we're at it, if all those Gamin are brought into Malifaux, I also think Gremlins should get some Mud Gamin. 😆 Could the Electric Gamin have some kind of synergy with the Electric Creation and/or Metal Gamin? Allowing them to have an extra activation if they're within a certain distance on a trigger, or something? Edit: new topic made in the Gremlin faction discussion about Mud Gamin idea so as not to derail the Arcanist discussion here. 😊

I'm new to Malifaux, but even hanging around the forum for only a few months has shown me how much work Aaron has put into this game and its community. I'm sad to hear that Aaron has to go elsewhere in his career but am also happy that he will get to play the games he loves just as a player again.

I'm assuming the Undying encounter box may be released well before this one, since it was announced earlier. That may not be the case, but it does make sense.

I note that the gator in that pic is on a much bigger base than the other figures in the set. Maybe that's part of what ended up excluding it from Bayou Bash?

If Bayou Gators are anything like the crocodiles we have in Queensland (Australia), those roosters are going to be surprised at how quickly something so ungainly can move on the land...

Maybe a 5ss melee grunt? December Cultists? I'm picturing very curved and serrated long knives or sickles. And Sandeep can hire the University of Transmortis models (Valedictorian and the three students) with the Academic characteristic. I suppose it would be different if this new master could hire other undead constructs as well, such as Necropunks, Flesh Construct and Rogue Necromancy. Maybe the Carrion Effigy? Unless the undead constructs that the new master (Albus?) could take in Arcanists performed some sort of roles or had benefits not otherwise already available to the faction. I'm thinking Necropunks' Leap could be useful, especially if Albus could summon them from corpse/scrap markers. If there would be a new master, there's also the possibility of a new cross-faction minion, and henchman/enforcer to synergize. After all, something else has got to go in the master's crew box! 😉 As we know, the Movers and Shakers at Wyrd read this forum. I think by posting it in this discussion, the idea has already been effectively dropped in one of the closest things to a suggestion box, of sorts.

Sandeep also has a summoning guide in the Bad Things Happen smart device App, but I think @WWHSD's is actually more informative. Or, at least easier to understand quickly.

There are amazing things that can be done these days with digital magnification devices. A portable digital magnifier could go straight over something the size of Malifaux stat cards and enlarge them while retaining clarity. Check out a site like this link to Vision Aware dot org. I suspect it's going to be simpler and more cost-effective to keep the cards themselves the same size and use something to help read them better. That way you could also use the portable magnification out in the community to read menus and product labels, etc.

Unfortunately, @Franchute, this is Mulligan #1 month for me. 😞 I copped a bit of an injury at work last week. A 9 year old child hit me in the forearm with a wooden drawer and it bruised up pretty bad. Keeping my wrist still was okay, but making the movements required for painting wasn't possible. The good news is that it's almost completely healed now, so I should be fine for April.

The hair looks very natural and the book looks amazing! I disagree that the golden line on the cloak looks "sloppy". I think it's a great detail.

Two days in to the Wyrd online shop's Easter Sale and the Alt Madame Sybelle was already out of stock before I got anywhere near it. 😉 What would everyone like to get while the limited edition miniatures are available? Fantasy lists, for which the user has no actual financial hope of acquiring, are welcome. 😆

Because Leveticus steals all of the Arcanist Constructs? Ramos needs to watch out for that sneaky C. Hoffman, also.

If it has the Construct subtype, hopefully Leveticus will be able to take it with Pariah of Iron.

Thanks for the input. Hmm, it sounds like Taelor just left to her own devices won't do a lot of good. It would have to be Taelor + some kind of movement trick, then ideally, something else in conjunction to deny the Nicodem player some of their vital cards in turn 1.

Coryphee are definitely fast, which could be a big help in scoring those VP. As far as Mercenaries go, I wonder if you might get more mileage out of Taelor than Lazarus for her anti-summoning abilities, @GoodJeaw?

Do you own any powerful melee Neverborn options, like Mature Nephilim and/or Teddy? The Pull My Finger article on the Stitched Together suggests that they "can help with cards if you're summoning a lot of Effigies" through A Game of Chance.

Oh, yes, thank you. I saw the option in a crew list I made in the Bad Things Happen app, and it was available after I had already added Toshiro to the crew. Mystery solved!
