  1. Wording is a bit odd, as we were stating on my post on FB. ‘Wrath of the Oni’ is worded such that the two clauses seem separate; 1 damage to Asami must be performed while within the 4” aura, but the second clause does not specify the point at which that (1) action charge may be taken.
  2. The wording is not clear to me. May I do 1 dmg to Asami with an Oni, Walk out of her 4" bubble and still Charge as 1 Ap?
  3. Where did you get the chests? Nice one, btw!
  4. I've expressed myself in a bad way. If your opponent says no to melee threat (with Disguised, reducing your attacks or stuff like that), LJ hasn't much to do.
  5. Playing traitors and badass characters is a funny way to play Guild, so good enough. LJ can, but she has to be in the thick of it, and she has no other aces in her sleeve. Sonnia and Hoff can, otherwise, adapt to the gameplan: they can attack from a distance (probably staying safe) or mix in melee if needed; Hoff can be protected by other models while doing his stuff, 'cause he can just buff his crew, while Sonnia can hit you without LoS and can take care of spam better than anyone else in Guild. So, once you say no to melee threat, what can LJ do? I think a lot less than the other two, that's why I'm rating them higher than LJ.
  6. Nice recap man! As you said, Guild has plenty of ways to field a lot of high Df models. So I don't get where "low Df Faction" is from. Especially when you pair it with Wd, Armor, HtK, HtW and so on.
  7. What does "not even Guild tier" mean? lol I rate Hoffman and Sonnia way better than LJ, who's on the same level as Lucius, so probably a solid B. I think Guild is in a good spot, after Wave 5 Upgrades, Wave 5 models and GG18. Probably, we need to wait for Monster Hunters and Investigators, but that's it.

    Benny

What are your toughts on Benny? Do you see him used outside of Hamelin? Maybe with Parker, thanks to the Bandit Characteristic?
  9. LJ is the Ml damage dealer and yes, she has a lot of dmg but not so much about her defense (just a heal). Sonnia is the Ca damage dealer, she has pretty bad stats but can raise everything needed by 2 (except Wk). Perdita is the Sh damage dealer, she had a big boost thanks to the new Upgrades. She's mobile and can kill, high defenses so pretty good overall. McMourning is a buffer who can mix things up, following Strategy and Schemes. He can be deadly too. Hoffman is a support, he'll guid a tanky Construct wall to smash your opponent. Lucius is a support/buffer, can run pretty well every sort of Schemes and can make your list do more than usual (thanks to extra APs). Nellie is the best all-around Master we've, the only example of Control Master we've in Guild. Highly suggested. McCabe is our best adaptable choice: he can buff, he can run Schemes, he can kill. His playstyle is variable thanks to his Upgrades, but he's generally taken as an alpha-strike champion.
  10. Some of my 10T models are on bamboo, or cobblestone (that I want to paint pearly, with cherry-tree petals and stuff like that), or wooden boards, alike tavern (for Brewie). For McCabe, I'm stuck to some old rock bases, but I wanted to change too, probably moving to something like ancient ruins-Indiana Jones style.
  11. I'll go with something like this: Zipp: Hovering Airship, Supply Drop, The Gift of Gab, 4 SS Earl Burns First Mate: Treasure Map, Where The Captain Can't See Burt Jebsen: Dirty Cheater Iron Skeeter: Poor Handled Explosives Iron Skeeter Mechanized Porkchop What do you think?
  12. Which is a common build for him? What's the strategy with him? Is he better as a summoner or as a buffer? Common picks for him? In which Strategy/Schemes does he shine? Help me know Som'er, and you'll get some bacon in return!
  13. I started Gremlins a week ago or so (I own Brewie, Zipp and Som'er), and now with my mates we're playing using the GG18. I'll be playing Gremlins, my opponent Arcanists. We've generated randomly the Encouter: SYMBOLS OF AUTHORITY; Standard Deployment - Punish The Weak - Search The Ruins - Set Up - Inescapable Trap - Dig Their Graves Right now, I'm more headed towards Brewmaster, 'cause I want to test him in Faction as I always used him as 10T, but Zipp can be the right choice too, or Som'er. The reasoning behind the BMaster in this setup is 'cause I can place the Symbols relatively close to each other, and oblige my opponent to come at me and stay inside my bubbles. For Punish The Weak, I think that I can go for a killy crew, but I need Interacts for the Strategy and the other Schemes. Maybe Fingers + Burt + Golem? First Mate to push enemies around? What do you suggest guys?
  14. Try the Rogue Necromancy, covered by a Nurse, a Stalker, Frank and Amina. That stuff together is pretty awesome.
  15. SOME SMILE SHOW CHEER. SOME MERELY SHOW TEETH.

  16. Promises is on Wp, yep. Luna is good to make your fast scheme-runners independent. As I said on a thread in Guild forum, Hounds are taken for speed and aggressive alpha strike, Guards for resilience and standing your ground. My 2 cents (I played McCabe in both Factions for a long time): - Aionus is a great holder for Equality and to make your spam list even better (a discarded 4 for a Fast Minion). - Luna is good with Hounds, but you've to play really safe with her. - Kamaitachi is good if you don't plan to spam Hounds (as others said). - Emissary is needed for any 2 SS upgrade you think you'll need in game (I usually take Saber or Badge) and for his awesome Fast. - The box is full of awesome looking models, but Wastrels are pretty meh and Sidir is nothing to write home about (especially now with Dashel down in cost). - You can bring a couple/trio of Guards and a Sergeant, this will be a solid formation. Or you can use Wardens, to abuse from their Ram coupled with your Saber. - McCabe is about alpha strike, so any push is welcome (Sensei Yu anyone?), but you need for sure fast and hard-hitting models (I don't like Yasunori with him, but why not). - Terracotta Warriors are your friends. Just one is enough, but he can give you more copies of the same upgrade; if you want to go really hard on your opponent it can be the right move. - Ten Thunders Brothers are tanky, medium fast. They don't hit hard, but you've Saber and Promises, so not bad at all. - Low River Monks are pretty good to help the crew: none wants his beater Paralyzed. - Yamaziko can be a nice second wave beater and she can carry the Shirt or the Cloak, making her way more difficult to remove, all for a 6 SS cost. Bargain! - Pathfinder + Queeg can be a nice duo, especially if you plan to spam more Slow. You've the models to do it and it can be a funny list. - As I said, Queeg is nothing to sneeze at, he has a huge Ml range, he's moderately fast and HTK. In 10T, there are a lot of Minions with good 0 Actions, so he can be a cheap and nice choice. - Lone Swordsman is fun, watch him dying failing the last attack on his target. Jokes aside, give him Nimble, keep him under you Auras (Shirt, Promises, Elixir) and he can turn into MVP. - Jorogumo or Dawn Serpent are not usual choices right now with McCabe, but Reactivating a 9 points Minion is huge. Hope this list can help you
  17. I was trying to find something to add at my 10T Brewie, and here it goes. I always had the solution under my nose.
  18. Not convinced about any Freikorp with him, but good to know.
  19. Both her new upgrades are gorgeous, in my opinion. Fast Draw is golden.
  20. Has anyone ever thought about Papa Loco with Nellie? She can move stuff around, and place him 8". She can out-activate her opponent, so it's easier to land a devastating Papa-boom.
  21. But with so many Henchmen, they risk to fold easier, am I wrong?
  22. You're right, so how many SS will you fit in there?
