  1. The Salty Seadevil will be produced using the standard M3E plastic.
  2. Hey Wyrdos, This Week, the cold has started to roll in and Waldo is back up to his old tricks. How he managed to attach a space-heater to the end of a fishing pole and dangle it outside our office door is a mystery to us, but I’m sure our new designer, Matt, appreciates the heat source as he cozies up in his new damp and dark pothole outside our warehouse. So while Waldo is getting cozy in the warmth of Matt’s desk chair, Mary “Blacktongue” Bonnet and her Crew of Forgotten seafarers have been fishing up a new ally during the upcoming Black Friday sale. Those who stopped by our booth at Gen Con this past August might already know this angry angler fish. For those who didn’t have the chance to stop by, we’d like to introduce you to the Salty Seadevil – an alternate Rogue Necromancy suited perfectly to swim the waters around Mary’s pirate vessel. Preying on the sailors and fishermen off the coasts of Malifaux, the Salty Seadevil is a fearsome combatant, often circling its prey and waiting for the perfect moment to strike. So be ready to toss your nets into the water soon; the Salty Seadevil isn’t known for taking its time and will only be available for a short time during this year’s Black Friday Sale. So, while you wait to get your hands on our slippery friend to arrive in our store you can download this mobile wallpaper featuring his gruesome mug. WALLPAPER As an added bonus to this week’s fishy festivities, we are introducing a new Through The Breach Bestiary entry allowing those adventurous Fated who like to travel through the murky waters of Malifaux to face the Salty Seadevil itself. This small TTB augment not only includes the stats and history of the Salty Seadevil, but also a few additional rules allowing for a Fatemaster to customize the challenge for their encounter to fit their story and group. If you’re interested in this new Through the Breach Augment you can download it here. That’s it for this week, but make sure to come back as next week: we’ll be diving into more content for our Black Friday Sale and revealing some other new treats we have in store.
  3. Pg. 28: "If a Marker is Created, it is treated as Dropped, with the following additional rules described below..." Pg. 28 "When a model Drops a Marker, it is friendly to the Crew controlling the model that Dropped it."
  4. Hey Wyrdos, After a long day of being at the Harvest Festival, we made the mistake of suggesting that we carve Jack-o-Lanterns to Waldo. Rather than ask us what the term meant, he decided to take the initiative by running around town and stealing lamps and lightbulbs from our neighbors. By the end of it, the beaming expression on his face was the only thing that reminded us of what we were supposed to be doing with the pumpkins in the first place. So while we walk around in the dark and profusely apologize to those around us, let’s take a look at this Halloween’s special Operation for the Other Side: Carving Day! The Carver has decided that Malifaux is too small a world for him to celebrate and has taken the light jaunt through the Breach to spread his love of the season (with blood, mayhem, and terror, of course). When playing Carving Day, we’re introducing a Neutral rule to the game, where Carver plays both sides of the battle. Each player will have the opportunity to take control of the Carver, sending his pumpkin spice-laden shears into their opponents at their whim. But be warned! The Carver has a fickle sense of justice, and can turn his back on those who befriended him in order to spread his special brand of celebration (bloodshed) far and wide. For those who are looking to try out the Carver and his Carving Day Operation, you can find all of the rules in this downloadable PDF, or by taking a look at the rules and the Carver’s card above. Before we go, though, the Carver wants to remind you that there is still time to submit your entry for the Rotten Harvest painting competition. If you don’t have a Carver yet, what better way is there to get your hands on one than by winning Wyrd store credit?
  5. We are working on getting our file structure updated but for now you can download all the errata cards here. TOS_ErrataCard_PDFs.zip
  6. Nope, we just had to update some things on their WargameVault back-end that caused them to reappear as new.
  7. Either. You can use a pre-built crew (for fixed crew events or pre-determined games) or you can build a crew after encounters are revealed, or do a mix of both and set up a core crew of like 30SS and once the encounter starts add to it for encounter specific flex picks.

  9. The more responses it has, the more relevant it becomes. And I will happily add my hat to the pile of relevant hats.
  10. Episode 109 is now live. Episode 109: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/tales-of-malifaux-109/
  11. Hey Weirdos As many of you may know, Gen Con is right on our heels and we have many exciting events going on throughout the weekend. From our new speed painting competition –A Dash of Color- to Learn to Play Events for both Malifaux Third Edition and The Other Side. If you’re into the more competitive scene for either game, don’t worry as we’ve got that covered as well with several events for each game. As for those planning to take part in these competitive events we are happy to release encounter information for each round of the events below. Additionally, it is worth noting as this is the first year of release for both M3E and TOS we have no requirement of painted miniatures, though it is still encouraged. GenCon_2019_M3E_Tyrant.pdf GenCon_2019_M3E_Henchman_Hardcore.pdf GenCon_2019_M3E_Double Rush.pdf GenCon_2019_TOS_Battle_on_Four_Fronts.pdf GenCon_2019_TOS_Champions_Of_Earth.pdf GenCon_2019_TOS_MidnightRun.pdf We look forward to The Best Four Days in Gaming™ and look forward to seeing you there!
  12. Hey Wyrdos, This week we found Waldo digging a few graves in the back alleys behind our warehouse. He even made a friend to help him out with his human-sized pot-holes, though she didn’t really seem to be helping as much as gleefully enjoying the new spectacle. They both had so much fun with the whole ordeal he unceremoniously asked for her to join us at Gen Con. But that predicament isn’t for a few weeks. Today’s dilemma is finding our missing office cat, Mr. Fluffernutter, our warehouse staff is getting a touch nervous. At this year’s Gen Con we’ll be bringing with us some special edition models for you Wyrdos to pick up, including this year’s “Miss” model – Miss Feasance. As one of the few in Malifaux who can keep up with the wits of our favorite Haberdasher, Miss Feasance is able to take his place on the tabletop and lead the Redchapel crew through the seediest parts of the Quarantine Zone. Miss Feasance will be provided with all purchases of $100 or more made during our Gen Con promotions*, so swing by our booth and give us a holler, or for those who cannot make it to Gen Con, she will be available online during that time as well. We’re looking forward to the Best Four Days in Gaming™ and look forward to seeing you there. *Offer only valid while supplies last.
  13. Hey Wyrdos, This past week, we’ve been frantically prepping for the retail release of Third Edition. In a huge miscommunication between us and Waldo, we found him stacking cans and jars full of pickled who-knows-what in the warehouse. Before he had the opportunity to dig up the floor to build a bomb shelter, we did our best to explain that what he was doing was a very different type of prepping. Releasing M3E won’t be the catalyst to the end of days. We hope. So, to celebrate not having to prepare for Armageddon, we are taking a look into the creative ingenuity of Malifaux’s oldest engineer, Leveticus. This resourceful genius has worked in Malifaux since the re-opening of the Breach, bringing a variety of special services to the denizens of Malifaux. Whether a magical artifact or ancient text, Leveticus always has the goods needed within his storefront, available to anyone within the city walls. And if he doesn’t have it, he has the resources to find it. While he may be seen as a having a calm demeanor and welcoming smile to his clientele, Leveticus ultimately hides his goals of immortality, choosing to work on his twisted abominations in secret, even coming as far as splitting fragments of his own soul into the waifs that have wandered into his shop. With the crackdown on mercenaries within the confines of Malifaux City via orders from Governor-General Marlow, Leveticus has not only lost his best customers, but also the hunters he relied upon to procure his goods. Now, in order to keep up his wares, he must rely on the services of his most trusted assistant, Rusty Alyce, and the Quarantine Zone Scavengers that come to him for black market augmentations as his only means of finding enough equipment to continue his illicit experiments, lest he succumbs to the inevitability of death. Check out what ol’ Levy and his Crew will look like in Malifaux Third Edition!
  14. After going through a lot of feedback from our community regarding our M3E Tyrant Tournament at Gen Con we have decided to reign the tournament in a bit and keep it to a single day event with 3 rounds rather than a more strenuous two-day affair. So for anyone who was on the fence about joining our Tyrant Tournament, now is the time to jump over. Registration is live for Gen Con Events and all our events can be found here.

  17. Similar to a certain factory in the Pixar Multiverse, our office is actually powered by the screams of frustrated hobbyists working on putting together our Malifaux Kits.
  18. We are still looking for volunteers to help out with event hall shifts throughout Adepticon so if you've got some free time and want to give us a hand, please let us know!
  19. A reminder to those who are on the fence: For anyone that picks up two or more volunteer shifts, we will be providing your badge for the convention.
  20. Any playtest materials that have been provided to you still fall under Wyrd's copyright and should not be distributed. That being said, you will get new materials to work with next week and some changes to come with those materials, so anything you currently have could be out of date once the Open Beta starts. You are welcome to discuss anything you would like, but posting our playtest documents is a no-no.
  21. I'm not kyle, but you may sing to your heart's content
  22. This list is only the models that currently exist in M2E, there will be more models to come in M3E that will fill in various gaps for masters that are low on models.
  23. Just want to point out that the index specifies the Initiative Callout is on Pg 48 and on Pg 66.
  24. We at Wyrd are so excited to be able to talk about this with everyone!
