  13. Malifaux Vassal World Series 5: MARCHing Explorers

    Hello there!

    It's my pleasure to announce the next event for the Malifaux World Series: MARCHing Explorers (does not mean you all have to play new faction :P)

    This event will be running from March 1st to the 28th 

    Registration is open today and will be open until the February 27th 19:00 EST. 

    This is a 4 rounds, 50ss, singles event, DMH Is banned, no other restrictions

     

    Your place in this event will apply towards qualification to the World Championship invitational in the works for August 2021. I am EST based in Québec, but this event is open to anyone who wants to play.

  15. Malifaux Russian Virtual Tournament 29/05

    Friends! Enough tolerating this. It's time to shuffle the dacks, even if they are virtual.
    May 29-31, I plan to hold a major virtual Malifaux tournament!

    📍 Location: Your home
    🥇 Prizes - The size of the prize pool will depend on the number of participants. Different limits and more solid prizes (avatars, Hanged Trees) can fall into the prize pool. If desired, prizes will be sent immediately to the winners - quarantine is not a hindrance to us!


    Format - 50 Soul Stones, 3 rounds
    Henchman - Arseny Nathillien

    📋 The tournament will be held according to the rules of the third edition of Malifaux. GG1, using the latest current errata from WYRD.

    - 3 tours, one per day - Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
    Players have the right to choose for themselves with which system it is more convenient for them to play a game - Vassal or Table Top Simulator (links to current systems will be at the end of the post).

    - The player declares one faction for the tournament and can only play it
    - Dead man’s hand is only allowed as the sole master. You cannot take masters from DMH to others (second or third), as well as other masters to DMH. The ONE and ONLY!
    - The current release version of the rules from Wyrd is used.
    - Schemes and strategies are generated in advance, the definition of the attacker and the defender occurs directly at the beginning of the game
    - Players play the full game in 5 moves, but can agree on the results of the game, if the result is obvious to both before the end of the 5th move.
    - In the case of an odd number of players, the judge acts as a proxy player

    Schedule:

    First round: Friday 29nd (the judge must have the results before 00.00)
    Second round: Saturday 30rd (the judge must have the results before 00.00)
    Third round: Sunday 31 (the judge must have the results before 00.00)
    Rewarding: On Monday, the winners and results of the tournament will be announced.

    Format - 50 SS, 3 rounds.
    Henchman - Ars

    📋 The tournament will be held according to the rules of the third edition of Malifaux, GG1.

    - Requirement for painting - 50% of models in the band, summons do not count
    - Proxies are allowed for models that have not yet been released
    - Conversions must contain no more than 33% of parts of manufacturers other than Wyrd Miniatures
    - Players must have printed maps of their models and upgrades with them.
    - Be sure to use official decks for Malifaux or custom decks with Malifaux suits
    - The player claims one faction for the tournament and can play only to her
    - Dead man’s hand only allowed as a sole master. To take masters from DMH to others (second or third), as well as other masters to DMH is impossible. The ONE and ONLY!
    - Uses the current release version of the rules from the Wyrd.
    - Schemes and strategies are generated in advance, the definition of the attacker and the defender occurs immediately at the beginning of the game
    - It is necessary to have markers for schemes, strategies or special abilities of characters.
    - Round time 2 hours 30 minutes. At the end of time with an unfinished game, players can agree on the results in the presence of the referee. In the absence of agreement among the players, the final decision remains at the discretion of the organizers.
    - In case of an odd number of players, the proxy player is the judge
    - In case of violations of the rules of the event, the organizers can apply fines to the participants, or even exclude them from participation (in the case of malicious and intentional disregard of the rules).

    During the tournament, all players will receive printouts of strategies and schemes.

    Format - 50 Soul Stones, 3 rounds.

    - Paint requirement - 50% of models in the band, summoned models are free from that rule
    - Proxies are allowed for those models that have not yet been released (but for which there are current stat cards in books).
    - Conversions should contain no more than 33% of spare parts from manufacturers other than Wyrd Miniatures
    - Players must have printed cards of their models and upgrades with them
    - Mandatory use of official decks for Malifaux or custom decks with suits of Malifaux
    - The player declares one faction for the tournament and can only play it
    - League of Explorers admitted
    - Dead man’s hand is not allowed in any form.
    - Schemes and strategies will be issued to players before the tournament. The definition of the attacker and the defender takes place directly at the beginning of the game
    - It is necessary to have markers with you for schemes, strategies or special abilities of characters.
    - Game time 2 hours 30 minutes. At the end of the time with an unfinished game, players can agree on the results in the presence of a judge. In the absence of consent from the players, the final decision remains at the discretion of the organizers.
    - In the case of an odd number of players, the judge acts as a proxy player
    - In case of violation of the rules of the event, the organizers can apply fines to the participants, or even exclude them from participation (in case of malicious and intentional ignoring of the rules).

    During the tournament, all players will receive printouts of strategies and schemes.

    🥇 Awards - the prize pool will depend on the number of participants. Rare items from the organizer's collection, limit models for the first 3 places, as well as a random prize draw will be drawn.

    And also the rule itself is not clear and causes confusions. What part of the original model I must use to make my conversion legal? Is the head enough? As long as we usualyrecognise other people by the face. Is the headless body ok? Body is the biggest part of the model. Is any "well known" part of the model (like Joss's steampowered hand) legal?

    I agree with this, why can't we just leave the 30% rule? I have a lot of nice conversions from M2E, which mainly is a original model, but with some additions or changes. Don't kill the hobby part of Malifaux, it's still a miniature wargame

    (Rollins Black's fate is unknown, but they've said he'll eventually be playable. A lot of speculation about whether he'll still be an alt McCabe or a new masters but for now we have no official confirmation which means no stat card.)

    Whom else he can be with a dog totem, mounted and unmounted version and with a shooter hench? I guess it is only mounted guards, whos fate is under a question
