  1. Honestly, I don't think Marlena is a must-have for Levi. He's supposed to die, so giving them the Tethered condition changes him to a melee beater, but still, I feel she's better (for the Tethered Condition) for other masters. I've found I really really really like Nothing Beast in a Levi Crew. It's another scary beater that takes and deals a truckload of damage. And projects a ton of power. I've also found that Peacekeeper is reliable, though with the point reduction on the rider, I think Hooded Rider is a great take. A&D isn't that useful anymore, unless the older schemes show up (interference, extraction, etc) or Symobls of Authoity
  2. Is it actually Df 3? Cause that's just painful....and probably why I haven't seen him proxied at all... I think we don't really need to run Aionus, we cut him for the librarian and a necopunk, that brings activations up to 9 (I think, math is hard guys...) and then you don't need the push tricks as much, since you *should* outactivate your opponent
  3. Based on that, I'm guessing it would stack...min4 Levi, let'ssss goooooo
  4. I *think* Obsidain statue works so that itself generates the Aura and the marker it places, if you were to get the auras from the model & marker to overlap, with a model inside the aura would apply twice, thus raising Levi to min 4 - which is sexy as hell. However, I would not be surprised if that since how it works and you can only benifit from 1 of the same aura. Also doesn't help I can't look at the exact wording on the card right now
  5. That would be a really nice way to surprise people, though thats a ton of stones...22? for 2 models? Still, would be a fun causal meme play
  6. True true. And I suppose the Statue does heal up pretty well. It also occured to me that as long as you're not within 2 inches of the statue you'll only "randomize" onto the target enemy model, so you'll burn a card, but it won't actually effect the attack
  7. I haven't tried the Engineer yet with Levi, since you have to discard a card to cast the Armor on non-freikorps models. That being said, giving Peacekeepr concealment (or whatever the hell the Mask trigger is called) is crazy strong. Admittedly, the extra armor is just overkill (well, overprotection more aptly) I've also thought of a different almost Levi-unique combo - Freikorps Specialist + Lampads = BURN IN HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (and summon more lampads I'm pretty sure this is bad, cause, well, the Specialist is trash, but I'm gonna do it for sure in my next tournement

  9. I've been wanting to try the Obsidian statue for a while now, it seems like a good model and a Levi @ min3 ignoring everything is INSANE. My main hesitation is that if Levi randomizes onto the statue, you're rapidly killing your own model (because he ignores everything). Have you been able to find a good work around for that? Peacekeeper has been a staple in my Levi lists for about 6 months. I find it a great beater/tank. Though recently, I've been opting to trae it in for the Hooded Rider, for a stone cheaper, you get much the same tankyness and arguably a better damage track and some crazy mobility.
  10. I haven't tried this one yet (mostly because my Deso Engine isn't painted and I still need to pick up the Toolkit) Do you find that this works in tournament play or is it more of a casual thing to get a quick laugh? Have you found any specific crews highly susceptible to it?
  11. I'm always a fan of the Jump/sac to reposition Levi into the front-lines - run A&D up, jump/sac to him, then pew pew pew. IT works with any construct, so having Levi summon aboms and then jumping to them is a nice way to surprise your opponent. The Hooded Rider's (0) let's him pull along a character so another good way to get positioning out of Levi. As for some others, taking Belles lets you throw Levi (or other models) up hyperagreesive and then pull them back. I also am starting to really like running the Nothing Beast with Levi, since you don't really need stones for him, it lets you use them on an insane henchie which can put out gross amounts of damage, and can provides a second wave of attacks after Levi goes is. Additionally, all the upgrade shenanigans you can run with the terracotta - need fast? take an oathkeeper. Need halving - take that trigger, need summons pick it up, need to remove scheme markers? Take the upgrade. Can catch people really off guard doing that and wiping thier search the ruins or covert. Can also do the same by hiring in a Peacekeeper through Iron - his (0) dispealls scheme markers within 3
  12. I'm in - just posted on the Facebook page
  13. So, with his reduction in cost, I've been trying to fit Hans into more of my lists, normally with Viks, (as a long-range anti-flank schemer) or Levi, when the Strat/Schemes don't call for me to run Midnight Stalker. I've found him....less than helpful. I love his shtick and how he plays, I just can't find an actual use for him. I've tried him in Public Execution @ Adepticon and he either missed everything, or just forced cards out of my opponents hand - which, while useful, didn't score me points. I still think he could be really good in symbols of authority, since he ignores them of LOS, but he's then taking the spot of a scheme - here's looking at you Stalker - which is just better. I really want to play him, I just can't find a decent justification for him. Have any of you found him useful in a specific matchup? Or Pool?
  14. I haven't seen/used him a ton, not a huge fan of Walk 4, though you're right, the Swift makes him really versatile and Scramble is wonderful
  15. Why Bisento instead of Storm? (I don't know what Bisento does) And do you find that Bishop/Taelor do work for you, with them being so slow?
  16. So I'm thinking of getting Alt-Misaki in the Easter Sale, what other models would you run with her in an Outcast build? Obviously Marlena Webster, I'm thinking a Freikrops Librarian (to heal Webster and provide a no-go Furious Casting circle). Beyond them, which models? Upgrades on Misaki are Survivalist, Risk & reward, and Storm. This is all pretty much theory-craft, but I have about 2 months until my next real big events and want to build something unique to try and catch people by surprise
  17. I agree. I've been doing something similar, but with Peacekeeper & A&D + Vanessa Obying. Peacekeeper pushes, then Vanessa Obeys A&D to walk, then push walk push. I've also found him very strong in Symobls, since you can take Necropunks, A&D, and The Midnight Stalker, between those 3, you're oppononets symobls are at your mercy, which lets you use LEvi as a denial tool to block their attacks
  18. Arguably its not bad to leave him in the center of the enemy crew, since they'll probably spend AP in killing him (and the anchor when he comes from) which frees up the rest of your crew to be more active
  19. As for general play against Nico, you need to be aggressive and really hit him hard, targeting the key summon tools of the crew - this is normally just Nico himself, but also Sebastian (his posion aura is annoying as hell), picking off Azura Rotten can help make the zombies joke models, Mortimer isn't really worth killing (unless you can get to him before he pops My Little Helper, since when he dies he drops extra corpses). having ways to remove corpse markers is always good as well
  20. For advice on Collodi play in general, I recommend checking out Alex Schmid's YouTube Channel. He recently did a pretty detailed summary of his Collodi crews - Schmid is currently the #1 ranked player in US (last I heard at least) Additionally, you want to check out the Schemes & Stones Podcast, they will be releasing a Collodi Spotlight soon, featuring Schmid. Good starting place
  21. Yea, The Ambidextrous ability might be one of the coolest, most unique abilities in the game. It's so much fun to use it to ignore disguised
  22. Nothing Beast hits Willpower, so the damage reduction doesn't apply. All you need is to stone for a + and then you're beating on him @ CA7 min 3 (always take Bigger They Are ) he'll drop pretty fast. And since he's an Incorporeal Henchie, he survives the counter punch really well
  23. I've tried the Rusty Alyce summon engine. Its not bad, though card intensive. She's quite strong, with Wk 7, and her no charge aura is really nice. I've been thinking about using her as a counter to Visk - basically build a wall of disguised/ anti-charge aura and then punch back with Levi
  24. I've been thinking about using Bishop as well, 1) cause having him be Fast for a 4th AP is gross 2) cause having him take 4 attacks on positives #flurry +swift is insane, especially if you declare auto-crit strike
  25. True true. I guess I just view Aboms as summons, not hired models. I'd recommend also using them as sac-jump points for Levi, can get real scary real fast doing that
