  1. Oof ya I play Rider defensively early on, so I love gotten 5crows 2-3 times a game.
  2. Lol thanks, but I wouldn't go quite that fair...I'm ok with Kirai...most of my wins are on the back of Dead Rider being actually broken. Cause just being able to hit the button on Turn3 and win the game is fair lol Idk what they might bring, guessing Z or Dreamer
  3. I have Neverborn. Symbols feeks kuej a pretty straightforward Kirai game to me - Skihome run and pick up strat and the rest of the crew just kinda chills on denial

  5. I've found Parker super good with Viks; the ranged threat projection is just *Chef's Kiss* and helps even more capitalize on the fast scheming potential of the crew
  6. Oof. Secured the R2 win. Super tight win, 6-4 over Kaeris. Dead Rider OP (again), along with a lucky as hell YOLO Jakuma attack to kill Kandara to score a point and soldify the game for me
  7. That's kinda my gut call. Hazardous is nice. And ya Cache is dumb. Its why I'm leaving towards Kirai, for the big spike damage/irreducible
  8. I'm facing Arcs, so outside of Hoffman, they don't have a ton of + flips right? figure she helps score up Stat and be annoying. She doesn't feel super hard to kill
  9. First turn sure, its 2 AP, but on all subsequent turns you drop so many markers that its easy to get off; also just another run&gun mobile turret is always great. I like Dark Powers for the Healing; I use Park as a beat stick/tarpit, so the heal-on-kill does a ton. I think I leverage the + flips on the attacks over card draw
  10. I think either Daw or Kiria will be really strong for R2. I can't decide which I want, but seem really strong into Recover Evidence - biggest difference I see is Guilty for Daw forcing your opponent to make poor choices to score points. Jakuma will always come into both I imagine
  11. I love Parker, 10/10 would recommend Servant of Dark Powers on him, increase his projected threat range so much early game. Dead Outlaws working to make Sue fast are *Chef's Kiss* as well
  12. Right, she’s copying Rocket Boot’s leap from a different (non-Hannah) model who has it equipped, which means it doesn’t get discarded
  13. The other way I like to do it is hire Midnight Stalker into the Von Schill crew, keeping him out of LOS of VS to gain Freikrops keyword. Then copy Stalker's leap with Hannah. Its a little more obtuse and marginly less card intensive (only needs a 3 instead of the 7)
  14. Finished out with another 4-4 tie. Crazy tight game, super fun. I'm vastly enjoying the switch to REzzers - finished 1W-2D-0L. Now, to look towards March's event!
  15. I'm looking at the matchup...I think I'm gonna need to paly it differently than I normally would. Lots of high MV in Infamous + Concealing which really hampers my jam
  16. Jack Daw all day! He loves flank deploy, Guilty & Hanged are great surviable models for running symbols, and Jakuna is perfect for yanking enemy models out of positions

  18. Had a fantastic game, ended 5-5 tie against Lady J w/Kirai. Super tight, couple key flips going both ways. 10/10 would play again
  19. Finished out 5-2 over Nekima. Very tough fight, he brought double Lilitu which made it hard to bait him in. But...I was able to get him to come in on a Guilty with a Mature Nephilm, starting a fight as Nekima followed in after. I didn't want to Melee the Mature (Combat Finesse is good...even when I was +2 stat from Stagger) so beat on Nekima with Hanged (got her Staggered and 1 melee attack i think?) Then was Able to send Daw in and Execute her on 2 attacks - the 2nd attack he was out of SS & Cards so dead (8 health) Nekima bottom of turn 3. I was still down 2 points (missed Strat up until turn 5) but T4 was able to have Hanged double fist Daw w/Draw out Secrets Trigger to score Sabotage and get my Dead Outlaw for Claim. Turn 5 after getting activation control by killing a Liltu, his decisions made denying the End-Game scheme points impossible which took the pressure off me. Was able to do a super cheesy play with Daw attacking his own models w/Suppressed Memories to get the Punishment Trigger to force-move the Dead Rider (had a couple Curses on him) thru Jakuma's hazardous terrian (which killed him) which opened my 1 Evidence Point to get claimed by Monty. So very close game, but snowballed out with Executing Nekima. Moral of the Story: Don't Mess with My Boi Daw

I think the largest overarching problem with the Freikrop as a whole is its incredibly card intensive: between VS/trunks attaching upgrades (TN needing 5 & 6 respectively), TN needing 7 (Grenade Belt), 4 (Land Mines) 7 (Leapy boots) 5 (Rocket Launcher-Blow it to Hell), Hannah's Bous action (especially if she's copying another bonus action), Librarian's heal (TN needing 6 + the actual heal flip, as healing for 1 feels really bad), Engineer need to DISCARD a card AND flip a 5 for Strengthen armor, Reference the Field Guide on Freikorpsmann, the bonus actions on steam trunk, and Shouting Orders for Focus. You're insanely strained on cards. So sure. you can get a 3/4/6 damage track, but your hand's empty and you're trustying a topdeck to YOLO your way to victory. OR, in the (worse) situation, you have 19 things you need to do, but only 7 cards in hand, of which only 3?4?5? (if you're insanely lucky) actually hit the TN you NEED, without you spending a severe to heal a model for 1. Its just insanely expensive to do all the "things" that make the Freikorp unique. Which I think would stand as a perfect chance to FINALLY give them an actual Keyword unifying ability (only Keyword in the game without one); something with card draw based on the "specialize" Freikorp unique thing they're doing ....18 months? into 3E and i'm TOTALLY not still salty they don't have a Keyword ability... And no. You cannot include Armor as a "keyword ability"
  21. I can't believe I forgot Talos. I have no idea what he needs. But i want to be able to play him SO MUCH. I'm really really not a guy who cares about aesthetic on models. Except for Talos (And Asteria & Twigge). I ADORE the sculpt and wish I could find a reason to bring him

  23. Makes TOTAL sense. Everyone knows pistols can punch through walls and rifles....can't? But in seriousness. Ya, Drachen & Laz for sure need help to get Freikorps having a reason to even think about them (obviously ignoring the hyper-niche tech picks where you such up their trashness to bring) I also think Viks needs...something. Ideally something cross keyword synergistic, since there really isn't anything (besides the Viks themselves). Taelor, I'd like to see her not-punished for Welcome to Malifaux (since its a 'on-paper' crazy strong ability, when in actuality its...almost obsolete ). Maybe soulstone cost drop? Or something that plays in with the boozy theme she has in the fluff. I'd like to see Deso Engines get either 1ss cheaper or at least DF4. But i'm just super biased on them for requiring an insane amount of perfect-stars-aligning to be useful.....also salty that they've been trash for me in a bunch of games...
