  1. I am looking at Butcher Dashel recently. So how is the core list when you guys playing him? I think he needs the LLC and Steward as a start, and maybe a Lawyer for utility. How about the Guard minions. How they preform when Dashel cannot summon them?
  2. It is an hence is not cumulative. So, similar to Vent Steam, the model only suffers once from the hazard effect
  3. Not sure if it is suitable to discuss this kind of topic in the official forum, but you may want to check out the Bushido from GCT Studio, which has some impressive Japanese warrior miniatures in similar scale of Malifaux. I would recommend Shiho Clan if you are looking for archer.
  4. I think those pumpkins are for decorating other keyword models which don't have a nightmare version to stay inline with the Halloween theme.
  5. Lamplighter is always my first hire along with Gibson and Eva, even before Corvis. The concealing and plus modify from the Lamp marker perfectly matched with the keyword mechanism. Plus the heal and push can help a lot.
  6. This. There was no Guild Player only because the Disease Containment Unit was not yet available.
  7. Not sure the future titles, but in the case of Lucas, the only master now have titles, are 2 individual entities in the app.
  8. I believe you can set the printer to print in B&W without actually editing the PDF
  9. The Duet is not activated when replaced with 2 Coryphees so this part does not affect them. It is added to prevent forming a Rat King with new summoned Rats.
  10. Would you consider 12 Cups of Coffee on Monk or Shinobi for more ping damage?
  11. I don't see why not. The condition of Siphon Power is "After this model declares an Action" but not "Before this model preforms a duel". This is also the trick I am using with Surveyors in Seeker crew such that I can heal them later on.
  12. So Parker is still alive. Wondering the lore behind the title name.
  13. Unless opponent kills both of your champions before Titania get a chance to activate, otherwise she can hand out upgrade through one of her champion.
  14. As a player who run scheme with First Mate a lot, I see the Golem as a decent high-end scheme runner. Give it 2 Chi Token first turn and it can go alone. Even the opponent sends the big beater into it, it has high chance to survive and escape. Not to mention both of its attacks can repositioning enemies, which is huge in GG2.
  15. Horseman Levi can only hire models in keyword or versatile though.
  16. I may be biased, but I am not sold on Pirate Zipp. His distracted shenanigans imo cannot compete with origin Zipp's pianos and moving enemies around in the aspect of controlling. Pirate Zipp does get some supporting capabilities in form of pushing and card drawing though. Beau seems more decent to me. I always struggle to play Bokor in Infamous crew since they lack of ping damage to give him fast and glowy. So Beau can be an alternative healer at same cost with some extra movement tricks. Danger Up Ahead can bring another layer of board control to the crew as well.
  17. The art of Red Cap is so fantastic that I am seriously considering to build a Puppet crew.
  18. The Riding Ulix is more aggressive compare to the origin Ulix. His Pigs now can gives out Burning to boost their damage output. The Pigs of Fire does specify that the move must be inside an Action, means 12 Cups of Coffee wouldn't help here. Emblazoned is his new way to grow up a Pig. Since the replacement is based on Sz, so he can grow a Sz 1 Piglet directly into a Sz 3 War Pig by pushing it through 2 models with Burning, friendly or enemy regardless. Note that the Sz+X is not an option but a fixed number instead, means that if a Piglet moved through 3 models, it must be replaced into a Sz 4 Pig minion, which is not yet exist. His bow is imo more impactful than his melee attack, despite having lower damage track. It can give out Adversary(Beast) which, combined with Covered in Slop ability, can give Shielded to friendly Pig per damage it deals to the enemy. The attack also has a non-built-in trigger to hands out burning in a pulse. Note that the trigger doesn't restrict on enemy, so you can shoot a friendly model to set nearby enemies on fire. One thing to note is that, Riding Ulix is now a Pig. Means that he can benefit from all support from his crew. Go Hog Wild from Old Major, Kept at a Distance from Penelope, Swineherd from Hog Whisperer and etc. Beware that Riding Ulix cannot be targeted by Herd 'em because he is the leader (presumingly). You can however beat him with Hog Whisperer and use the Stick 'em trigger to take an Action. So all in all I think this Ulix, put aside the power level, is more interesting to play than classic Ulix. All of his Actions have similar value. Hence he has plenty options to spend his Action and playstyle can be vary in different player's hand.
  19. You are right. The wording makes the shooting model must be engaged in order to ignore itself, but not the opposite. Also it is weird that a model would suffer friendly fire when shooting an engaged friendly model...because worrying of hitting the friendly model?
  20. There is a special spell out that a model does ignore itself for the purpose of friendly fire when it shoot an enemy engaging or engaged by itself.
  21. I think it is more a matter of playstyle. Similar to Viks or Seamus, some players like to push their offensive potential to the limited, while others more lean towards making use of their mobility for achieving S&S and treat their damage output as a threat to keep opponent in place. If you are not sold on the idea of maxing out the burning nuke of Kaeris2, just don't. Keep her with minimum burning she needs and limited opponent's positioning just by existing there. And if the opponent has placed a model in a wrong place, move Kaeris in and punish that model with the burning damage.
  22. The situation is funny enough, but I don't think Along in the Dark aura would completely remove any aura ability within range. Because A) the two AitD situation, and B) there are some abilities in the game have multiple effects while aura is only part of it, like the Surplus of Life ability of Jedza2 or Lost in the Moment ability of Tara2, and ignoring the whole ability just because part of it contains an aura effect could break the game. There is a guideline in the rule sub-forum, and the first rule is IMO the AitD does the following: Ignore enemy aura: Prevents enemy from gaining benefit directly from enemy aura: Enemy Bayou Gremlin within range cannot gain the +1 bonus from Gremlin General. Ignored by enemy aura: Prevents enemy from counting toward enemy aura: Enemy Bayou Gremlin within range does not count for Bayou Bash ability on other models outside of range. And it does not stop enemy using any ability with aura, as long as the ability does not work against the above 2 points. Enemy can still heal with Life Leech ability, can still push with Scamper ability, can still affect other models with aura like Boring Conversation or AitD.
  23. If a model ignoring auras of itself means the model loses auras on its card, then what happens if both players playing Seamus2 and standing within 6" of each other with the Alone in the Dark aura activated?
  24. Lucius in Guild also has access to Pale Rider, whose trigger can draw a bunch of cards combined with Following Order. It is not broken but solid enough to consider in real game.
  25. I believe we have a post calculated it and the result is there will be 3 unknown slots in the new book, which can fit in one starter set. And I believe Guild and Resser are getting their own starter sets. The ToS starter after all is for ToS, there is no component for Malifaux, scheme markers, bases, Sonnia's totem and etc. Players who purchased the ToS box would not able to unbox and play with other players who had bought faction starters. So I think we will see 3 starters in the Burns book, Outcasts, Bayou and another faction. And the remaining 4 will be in other book, probably the next after Burns all together.
