  1. I think most people involved in this kind of threads simply enjoy the brainstorm. We don't know what kind of errata we are going to receive (hard errata with changes to the way actions work/new actions added or soft errata with changes to numbers only), but there is no harm in discussing things. Moreover, by discussing weaknesses of particualr keywords you can help developers fix them not only through errata, but also through designing new models, which will eventually happen.
  2. Masters I would bring to a tournament are Seamus, Molly and Yan Lo. I know Kirai would be a solid pick into some of these pools, but after several games with her I have realized that I don't enjoy playing Urami, so I don't consider her. Round 1: Seamus or Yan Lo. Seamus because it's Turf War. Without seeing opposing list I would probably think of Take Prisoner and Breakthrough. I haven't played Yan Lo into Turf War yet, but I would be ready to give him a try. My initial plan would be to score Take Prisoner (my favourite scheme to do with Yan Lo in 2ed) and Claim Jump (Izamu). If they bring anti-armor tech, I start sweating. Round 2: Molly, beacuse it's Plant and there's Power Ritual in the pool. Dig or Search would be my second scheme, based on opposing crew. Round 3: That looks like a solid Yan Lo pool, except it's Wedge. So I would probably deploy deep and bring something to protect Yan for the first two turns. Take Pris, Deliver and Vendetta all look doable, depending on the opposing crew.
  3. If I were you I would prefer to kill her asap. You need several turns to make your deck better via Lucid Dreaming. Big Brain Brin will be turning her deck into a pile of severe cards every turn, and she will put them to good use. Put pressure on her, so your opponent wil have to activate her before BBB. Do you consider Hold up? You can summon cheap models to score that scheme easily.
  4. or too good? in this way she not only counters flyers, leapers and models that use on your wheels, but also makes a potent combo with Pull! trigger in von Schill crew.
  5. But why do you want to kill her in the first place? Can't you just kill everything else? I don't get it.
  6. how do you know that? did I miss an announcement?
  7. I think your opponent was trying to bait you and you made a mistake by not killing golem. Loosing Ryle before he could even activate on turn 3 could be disastrous and lead to a snowball effect due to the way how schemes and strats are scored in 3rd ed (you can't score half of the scheme points before the game ends, and you need to put more and more effort to score strategy every turn). Had it been turn 4, not turn 2, then securing the point would have been more reasonable.
  8. what's wrong with him? I am not following the fluff, but you made me curious.
  9. some people can still have translucent boxes which were a common and not-the-most-desirable prize at tournaments at the time of 2nd edition. and there are Ressurectionists players who bought more than one box due to the lack of model limitation back then. I can ask on your behalf if someone in Poland still has it, if you like.
  10. Had an intense Hamelin game yesterday. 6 ss cache, Hamelin w/Servant, 3x The Stolen, Barbaros w/Servant, Pride, Nix, Ratking, Wretch, 2x Rats. Against AR Mei Feng, Emberling, Henry, Rail Golem, Metal Gamin w/Magical Training, 2xArachnid Swarm w/Diesel Engine. We played into Reckoning; I choose Search the Ruins and Take Prisoner on Emberling, he – Dig their Graves and Take Prisoner on Pride. I approached that game determined to try Irresistible Lure Machine (Hamelin/Barbie/Pride) no matter what, but it turned out that his entire crew was in my deployment zone on turn 1, so Barbaros' lure was entirely superfluous (it was my first game against Mei Feng of any sort, so I didn't really know what to expect). I should have picked A&D instead to remove his scrap markers or Midnight Stalker to threaten his Dig their Graves and/or score my own schemes, lol. Barbaros and Mei Feng died on turn one. As Assasinate was in the pool, I decided not to kill one of my Stolen on turn one to make another Ratking – as a result, I lacked non-insignificant AP for the first 3 turns of the game. Overall, he pressured me so hard, that I eventually scored only one point for Search the Ruins. Take Prisoner on Emberling was another mistake – I simply couldn't separate him from the rest of the crew for the entire game. By not attacking him I telegraphed to my opponent that he is my Take Prisoner target, and after my attempt to kill his last Arachnid Swarm on turn 4 failed, he used it to kill Emberling on turn 5 denying me any points for that scheme. As a consolation prize, my opponent killed Pride on turn 4, his Take Prisoner target, to score first point of Dig of him, realizing that it is a safer play. I have also managed to create two Ratkings on turn four and five respectively, which denied his second Dig their Graves point by rushing toward his deployment zone and eating two out of four scheme markers which Metal Gamin placed throught the course of the game. In this way I lost 3:4, but learned a lot and for the first time really enjoyed playing Hamelin. Playing aggresively and caging opposing crew in its deployment zone once again proved to be effective strategy, which lets you win on the expense of your crew (my opponent lost everything except Arachnid and Gamin). Vent Steam and Sputtering Exhaust were really diminishing the effectivness of Bleeding Disease models; fortunately, if enemy model has 0 Df and 0 Wp it is possible to hit him even on negative flip.
  11. I can tell you from experience that it doesn't work that way. You are first hooked by a look of a single model or a crew, and you say to yourself: "Nah, I'm not going to play these other crews, I just don't find them interesting." But after some games you become familiar with game mechanics and the desire to experiment with other crews and their specifical schticks becomes an irresistible incentive to buy more and more crews. So grab whatever you like now, you will end up having and playing everything anyway.
  12. i've just noticed nest with bird and eggs in it on necrotic machine's back. maybe bow and nest are optional pieces for customization? like archie's hat?
  13. everything in the box looks very good. i am positively surprised.
  14. Fun fact - there is no active thread on errata in Ressurs subforum. I am almost certain that there was an attempt to start the discussion, but is seems that players were pretty happy with what we got, and the thread died out. Sure, Archie could cost a bit more, some Redchapelle models could be rewritten a bit to synergize better, but overall the faction seems to be close to the sweet spot. I think that's because most of our keywords are based on real synergies, so single pieces strenghten each other. I don't see that so often in other factions. TT are a complete disaster in this respect (and the greatest failure of 3ed imho), as many lists consists of the same few OOK/versatile supermodels.
  15. Cool! I've played original Chrono Trigger, good memories and I love buzzling-tinking SNES sounds! Final Fantasy VI soundtrack is my absolute favourite (as is the game itself).
  16. @Scoffer if you are going to do a similar thing after the next major event, I have a proposal: make a separate analysis or simply narrow your analysis to players with at least three wins (in case of 5 round event). It will give better impression of what is competetively viable in your meta.
  17. so you're hiring Hamelin as a second master if your opponent declares McMourning?
  18. what's the reliable tech against McMourning except Pandora who can end any condition on anyone? genuine question, just can't think of anything else except Lady J and her unresisted removal.
  19. He's Outcast player. Do you really need any other reason?
  20. McMourning had second lowest winrate at your tournament. He doesn't seem like someone to tech against.
  21. sentence you've quoted says nothing about "moving towards", it's - as far as I can tell without the whole context - about movement in general. so it applies to the situation when you have to move terrain marker through something.
