Columbia Missouri Malifaux Chapter is hosting a two part charity event for the holidays. The first part will run from Thursday Oct 17th until Wednesday November 13th. Results will carry over into P2. Rules will be made known at the start of the event but expect to earn bonuses to game play by bringing in donations for charity. When: Saturday August 24th 2019 Where: Columbia, Missouri Location: Valhalla's Gate Time: 11 am to 6 pm (Registration takes place beforehand, starting around 10:30 am) What: A fun relaxed tournament where you make a themed list that is your set list for the entire day. Three rounds. Points awarded for creative, fun, whimsical, or crazier lists. Why: To have some relaxed fun before the competitive grind starts in earnest. How: 50 ss crews with the following rules adjustments - Hire a thematic crew using 50 ss. All models are considered to have the "Versatile" tag but hiring must still be within faction and/or keyword models only. This means if you have a crew led by Hinamatsu then you may hire ANY Neverborn model at cost (as you would a versatile model) and then any models with the keyword "Puppet" or "Qi and Gong". Enjoy the release of the newest edition of Malifaux with an achievements league that has more of a focus on in game events than winning. Learn how to play new crews and revel in the bad luck that will invariably strike. You will have one month to earn as many achievements as you can as well as four separate one week intervals of new achievements. Different achievements earn you different amounts of points and the player with the most points at the end of the month wins. Starts Thursday, July 18th and Valhalla's Gate gaming store in Columbia, Mo and will end August 15th.
