  1. I was thinking that about Marcus as an upgrade Master. Most of his Key word are over 7 stones so he's pretty much omitted from this format XD I got think about this crew: Joss, Effigy of fate, Tool box, 2 Mecharachnids, 6 Steam Arachnids - that'll leave 2 stone Cache. Tool Box is the only insignificant model - should be chaotic.
  2. I'm a fan of Myranda and her shapeshifting - She doesn't summon but replaces herself with others. As well as the Effigy of Fate and various other models among the factions. Are you considering "replace" as a "summoning effect"? @JemmyVonJude If I am "A", shooting at B or C when B and C is engaged there isn't friendly fire; they are both enemies in the encounter. At least how we've handled it in our games.
  3. Thank you this and the threads helped.. I've never faced Toni Ironsides because I'm the only Arcanist in my meta. This game will be a weird game for me.
  4. Malifaux is my first Miniatures game. Arcanist pretty much only faction I'm into. I was telling someone in my meta about the results of my visit toFaux Moines Soul Stone Tower & @Kaiser Senpai. I mentioned that I notice that have a few glaring problems with how I play with Toni Ironsides and my play style has had mixed results. This person in my group is new to Malifaux and has played the Horde/War Machine games. He suggested that I build my Toni crew and he'll do a Nekima crew and we each play the opposite. (( Me Nekima, him my Toni )) I've played against Nekima with Toni a few times without my playing style causing problems. Both in second and third edition. I want to see this as a learning experience- what should I be looking for? If he is trying to learn from me - what should I be showing? I feel I have too much home field advantage. PSST what is the Nekima crew into doing, anyway?
  5. @Ogid I ran this crew on Parker loss 5- 6 Idols with Corner Deployment My biggest struggle was having more insignificant models than significant ones. The other pain was not sharing a key word. I got 3 on Idols 1 for deliver the message and 1 for take prisoner She got 3 idols 2 power ritual and 1 take prisoner. She called prisoner on SS Miner and I called it on her Bayou Smuggler and they engaged each other. We were denied the second point on each other (short version) Think harness the ley line, dig their graves were also in the pool ( I didn't recall those) This was a very handicapped crew. Amina was killed early and Mad Dog went after the Duet. Wasn't as painful as the last run I used Collette against Parker. In more experienced hands with a different Strategy I think this could work. Following a few other threads and chats, I might have an idea on how to do better with Collette and the birds. Thank you @Kaiser Senpai. Wish I had caught your Toni Collette team up before I played with this crew.

  7. SS Cache wasn't well thought out. I thought it would be of use. Even the miner was a last minute change. Standard Deployment - Plant Explosive Schemes: Power Ritual, Claim Jump, Assassinate, hold up their forces, Take Prisoner Raspy - Power Ritual and Hold Up - I scored 1 point on each scheme and got credit for 1 planted explosive. Got the hold up at the end of turn 2 Ice Golem on Euripides and SS Miner on a Troll. Got the Plant and power ritual with Blessed of December . Euripides - Assassinate and Claim Jump - Thoon buried Rasputina and turned her into an ice pillar (I loved the irony) for the second point but never got the first point. Claim Jump was denied from the troll that SS Miner had engaged. Storm and Ice Golem were sitting on the center line making it difficult to move pass for Euripides and company. They beat Ice Golem to hell and survived because of the Silent One healing twice. Turn three won initiative on a Red joker and consumed Euripides Pillars to heal Ice Golem the rest of the way. Ice dancer was moving pillars around on him. Before she got killed she planted an explosive but it was picked up soon after We had to call time half way through turn 3 - In the end the only fatalities were Ice Dancer and Rasputina. Rasputina was buried with 2 explosives- i had read she could deliver the message through ice pillars so figured why not try explosives. I have more pictures on my profile here are a couple.
  8. This wasn't my best idea but I won against Euripides. I usually start with Snowstorm, Blessed of December and Silent one. There weren't many ice pillars because each crew used them for something. I used the Dancer to move his pillars on him into choking up the terrain. This was my 3 game as a Raspy in M3. The Euripides play ran her on me in prior games. SS Miner was a bit double edged. I don't regret bring it for it's versatility . I'd prefer the stones in place of the miner but the miner helped claim and deny scheming points.   9. I ran Rasputina in a Euripides vrs Rasputina game and won 3:2. Ended in mid turn 3.

  10. @Ogid Does Beast Within/ Vogel Keep his mutation when he replaces/transformed? I've been told they "fall off" when they are replaced. Myranda being an exception to the rule.

  14. Been dabbling with Malifaux and more recently got freed up to get more invested. The group at the store I play with is fairly diverse among the factions. My order of favorite Masters are Toni, Collette, Mei and Marcus. Rasputina Kaeris and Sandeep are only at the bottom because I haven't explored them. I have some sense of what they do, though. I favor mobilty for the crews. Tricks and shenanigans like Rail walking, don't mind me, and prest o change o are a few examples. Seen a few times in games and tournaments I think to myself "I picked the wrong scheme" or " I m not going to score on the strat because the crew is fragile" I also not homicidal in games where some have come from war games. Even if I run Toni and Howard or Marcus and a pair of Cerberus (example only) I don't systematically kill models. 1. How do I decide on who to bring to which party? 2. Do I need to be homicidal in games (I'd rather use mind tricks, smoke and mirrors) 3. What do I do if I run Toni or Collette and they have Parker and Mad dog or T.T. and Seven Samurai. ( Or at least 3 Sam with mad ninja skills = those were painful games)

  17. @Vangerdahast I'm still learning and miss spoke about the Plant Explosives. • 1 I know we tied. • 2 I planted 4 and Cass died holding the last one but my opponent wasn't close enough to claim it. They planted all of their explosives Dig their grave 0 point opponent Harness the leyline 2 points me Deliver the message 1 point opponent Outflank Detonate the Charges 0 points me Ironically I was sitting on Outflank position the whole time and regretted not taking it.
  18. Ran Collette crew on a Parker crew. It was painful... Parker's crew kept stealing my markers. My opponent never got dig their graves and I never scored on Detonate the Charges. I denied the second Deliver the Message. My opponent denied my last plant explosives. We tied at 6. At the end I earned two from Harness (hard earned) and four from explosives . The Captain and Duet did the running. Parker Angelica and Collette did some dancing. Mad dog played hard to get with Cassandra and a show girl.
  19. Parker and Collette went out and it was fairly painful on both sides. As the Collette crew the Captain was my MVP scoring for Plant Explosives with Cassandra. Collette denied second point on Deliver the Message. Harness the Leyline was a struggle and I was denied Detonate the charges.

  21. Anyone think the armor plates upgrade would help them enough? Any other trick theories?. I've also considered feathered wings. I'd prefer to not getting hit as opposed to " after resolving an attack " 🤣
  22. Haven't done hard core Henchmen yet but have done Henchmen Teams Myranda w/ SS cache Arcane Effigy w/ fate upgrade Cojo two mole men. Myranda shapeshifting and Cojo were a nice team up let the molemen scheme run while Myranda was gnawing as SRM. A theory build for H H. is : Snowstorm 2 Acolytes and Silent One. I'd also want to explore Hank and the Capt for HH
  23. I could use some Crockett tips too. Havent had good luck with him so far. My pacing of movement has been a struggle for me. Side note: Jackalope is my hero most Marcus games 😍
  24. At the time I had them running bombs for Plant explosives. They can be useful for schemes. If the set up isn't painful. Were the performers drop markers with everything or union miner's false claims. I like where it's going but feels like the molemen are missing something. I plan to play more with them. If I come up with ideas for them, I'll post them.
