  1. At this moment in time, I am leaning more towards Outcasts lead by Parker Barrows. Then Guild led by Lucas McCabe. Neverborn, I'm still undecided on who would be the best leader for me, a complete novice. Any suggestions?
  2. Thank you for the welcome Ortega. I agree if I am active enough within the Malifaux online community something will turn up I am in no great rush as I am still researching and absorbing the game mechanics at the moment. I am leaning more and more towards Outcasts lead by Parker Barrows. With his boxed set and the models contained within the Two player 2E boxed set, Would that give me a decent starting crew, do you think?
  3. Cheers Lunar, Very handy will download later. I'm not really looking for minimal outlay and want the extra fluff n stuff contained within the rulebooks listed
  4. Greetings all, I currently have lots of Vallejo paints. Mostly from the WWII collections. I think they would actually be well suited to painting Malifaux figures. What I am missing are some luminous greens, purples etc for when you just have to get that demonic look. Can I get some recommendations for a good toxic mix of paints that would fit the bill?
  5. Good thread. I started listening to the podcasts just last night. They are a great introduction to the Characters, really help give them some depth
  6. Great idea on the app. A Malifaux computer game I hear you say? Splendid idea!
  7. Thank you, Very informative terrain info
  8. Many thanks for the info peeps. I believe I have read that the rules contained in the starter box are more of a quick start guide. Enough to get you started that is. I was wanting the Main rules as I believe they also contain the stat cards, extra rules and lots of lovely fluff & lore As for crews, I am leaning towards Guild, Outcasts, and Neverborn. I have been watching lots of battle reports and drooling over some great painted figures from these factions.
  9. Port Talbot, Not far at all Alas, I am without transport at the moment, not even so much as a mule to call my own. In the meantime, I think I shall procure a table, play mat, and some scenery. At least then I will be able to invite fellow Malifauxers over for an evening of battles
  10. Good evening everyone. Just checking if the list of items below is sufficient to get me ready for adventure in the lands of Malifaux? http://giveusyourmoneypleasethankyou-wyrd.com/collections/m2e-books-accessories/products/m2e-starter-box http://giveusyourmoneypleasethankyou-wyrd.com/collections/m2e-books-accessories/products/wyr20001 http://giveusyourmoneypleasethankyou-wyrd.com/collections/m2e-books-accessories/products/wyr20013
  11. Greetings all, I hail from Wales UK and looking to get into Malifaux and Vassal.
  12. Hello all, I would very much like to give this a go. Does anyone want to take me under they're wing? As it's probably going to take me a while to find new friends who like Malifaux for a tabletop game, I thought Vassal would be a great intro to the game mechanics etc. I am from the UK and can play anytime after 6pm till the wee hours
  13. Many thanks cinnamon bear I was watching the Guerrilla battle reports till around 4am this morning lol, I'm a bit of an insomniac sometimes. I really enjoyed them, easy to follow plus some nice painted figures and terrain to boot
  14. Greetings all, I am new to the site and the world of Malifaux. Will be getting the 2E boxed set in a short while but am currently in research mode. Could you please recommend some good battle reports, especially ones where the players talk through the mechanics & Lore of the game. Cheers
  15. Greetings gretster & asrian Many thanks for the welcome. I live in a small coastal town called Porthcawl. There is a War Gaming club that meets once a week a few miles from where I live. They are nice chaps, but I'm thinking I'll make a table and some scenery and hold the games here at home. My main room is 15 x 15 foot so plenty of space. It also means i can leave the table in place if for some reason a game has to be cut short. Plus I can indulge in some rum consumption while i play with lots of ice on standby So, I shall be looking to make new friends to play against, making new friends is always a bonus
  16. Hello everyone. My name is Captain Black (real name Robbie). Over the past couple of days I have been avidly reading up on, and watching battle reports of Malifaux. I really like the Lore, setting, artwork and models, Just my cup of tea ? I really enjoy Turn Based Combat and RPG games on my PC. Especially Dark Fantasy & Horror titles, Darkest Dungeon is great fun I have played only a little table top in the past, 40k & Bolt Action. I did enjoy playing these games but I was more into just painting the figures really. I have also been toying with the idea of getting into TCG's, then a couple of days ago I stumbled upon Malifaux. It ticks all my boxes, so I have decided to give it a go. I will order the new 2E Two player box set in the next couple of days. I like the fact all the figures belong to the mercenary faction as it will give me a good start to building up a Neverborn and Outcast crew. I really like the Von Schill boxed set for Outcasts. For the Neverborn, Pandora and her crew Saying that, I also like Molly from the resurrectionist faction! Maybe they could be next. All I'll need then is someone to play with But, I digress, I am very much looking forward to my upcoming adventures in Malifaux and looking forward to making new friends here, in the community ?
