  1. Its only going to be certain figs; either ones added to boxes or ones removed.
  2. Thats unfortunate. I'm printing my own cards because I only have nightmare crews. Oh well. Thanks!
  3. During beta teases, there were pics of some rules reference cards. I just double checked the card files and they were never released. Is there somewhere that I could get them? They would be super handy for newer players and players that want to get up to speed fast.
  4. Im printing at home as I have a good color laser, but it's frustrating that the card images aren't full bleed as printers (even commercial ones) never line up perfectly. I'ave had to compensate by enlarging the backs by 2mm width and height so I know I will get a clean cut. As for the corners, I bought a Chinese corner rounder that I used for other systems I required cards for. I'm printing on 110lb, but I'm looking for better stuff to make it a little firmer.
  5. It'll get nyrf'd eventually. Wyrd have done it to Faux models for less.
  6. I don't believe so. Im pretty sure they and the limited edition fate decks were KS exclusive, but the plastic faction specific fate decks will be available. Many sites have them up for preorder already. To be honest, theres nothing super special about them. The art on the tokens is identical to the cardboard ones you receive in your starter boxes, and the starter ones are double sided which makes more sense since they cancel out their opposing token.
  7. Yeah. The base pledges are still a great value with the unlocked stuff. I also don't have a problem with online stores selling it as a discount because that's what they are going to do. What I did have a problem with was that it appears that everything except for the rulebook has dropped its MSRP from what was posted on the KS to what it said our discount price was. In some cases, like the starter boxes, the MSRP is now LOWER than what we were sold them at. If I wanted to pay full price for something, I would have rather spent the money with a LGS instead of the KS. When backerkit was closing, I initially had almost everything for Ab and GH, but I decided to drop it all and just get the 2 dual commanders so I could have the special cards. I could pick the rest up later. This has really soured our local community when a few of them went all in and calculated that they could have saved quite a bit if they had just waited.
  8. Where was it discussed on this forum? I did a search for the topic and didnt see anything. I saw 1 comment on facebook in passing and that was it, and Im not on the discord.
  9. So.... looking around online it appears stuff is starting to appear for order and preorder. Everywhere I look is showing that the MSRP is what we were sold product for instead of what was listed as the MSRP on the kickstarter. Because many of these stores offer a discount off MSRP, everything is cheaper there than what we would have bought it for in the backer kit. If this isn't a mistake, I'm sure glad I dropped most of my order and only grabbed Kassa and Horomatangi, plus the limited sculpts so I have the models and the special cards, even though they can be bought cheaper now. If you filled out your faction, you may have spent a ton extra than you needed to. Wyrd has been getting a ton of flack for how this KS was handled, but man is this just the icing on the cake. 10. I think I get it. And Kassa can only choose the appropriate upgrade based upon what your chosen Allegiance it. So if you pick Aby, then she takes the Aby upgrade, right?
  11. Can I get an explanation on how Alliance cards work with Dual commanders please? If I have Kassa and Unathi as my leaders, but I declare Kassa as KE, what Alliance rules are my units following? Do my KE units use the KE Alliance card and Aby use their own; ie the both Glory as usual, other than Kassa that would Glory using either KE rules or her asset?
  12. Theres already patches available in the backerkit. Can't see why they wont eventually be available to everyone.
  13. Im fine with the point changes. The only thing I'm annoyed about is that my alt Rasputina set just showed up. Because of casting issues, Wyrd was nice enough to give us a bonus model, Festivus Arborus which counts as an ice golem. His card is now wrong. Seeing as you were just creating this model in December, was there no way to give him the new point cost of an ice golem, or were these erratas done over christmas holidays?
  14. Im all in on the KS, but now that we have a better view of this model, where is he glued together? It would be easier to paint the character and the gun separately, so is there an easy point to cut them apart without destroying it? At first glance it looks like cutting off the pack and hand at the wrist, but I can't see the back arm. He looks great though. Can't wait to get him.
  15. Nope. Still open. Waiting on shipping costs.
  16. Ideally that would be great, but there are only 30 cards at the time of release. The GU pack has 136. Even the Schemes and Strategies has 52. That's why I was thinking of selling them like a pack of cards. Most CCGs have packs of 15, so you could have a Malifaux pack and an Earth pack. If we have to wait until there are enough to warrant a small box release, that will take a while.
  17. When/how will these be released in physical form? Combining Earth and Malifaux, there are 24 cards, plus the 6 Envoy cards. If you divided them in half, you could have 2 15 card booster pack sized products, grouping the Envoys with their Earth or Malifaux side.
  18. I dont think it is a big deal. I just think advertising it as something that it isn't sets it up for failure when pitching it to someone. It is closer to AoS than KoW in terms of unit composition on the battlefield. The difference is that 9 models in a squad mean 9 attacks for AoS. Even in WHFB, you often got bonuses for multiple rows in your units if you were carrying certain weapons. For the KE faction, It seems kinda weird to have 3 guys with guns in a fireteam and only 1 manage to fire. You'd figure trained soldiers would understand how to coordinate attacks. Why should a fireteam with 3 models get the same number of attacks as one with 5 or 8? Yes with enough damage you can take out more than one model, but that just further pushes the models into the wound counter space. If that is how damage is to be conveyed, then units with ranged weapon attacks that have higher numbers in the fireteams should have greater strength to their attacks to represent a greater amount of firepower. I think the game looks great. I dont think it will catch on here as nobody plays anything but 40k, but I do plan to pick up some characters and maybe a titan to paint when it's released.
  19. Because the Models are essential glorified wound counters. When it boils down to it, TOC isn't that big of an army game. Each fireteam is a model, and each model is a wound counter. If you have 5 models in a fireteam, that would be like having a 5 wound model which would be a hero in most other games.
  20. Looks like the Guild will be in it, but as Syndicates. They'll be mercs, so no full army, but some cool hired guns instead. I suppose if we get enough of them, you could build a full army a la Outcasts, but that probably wont be for a while. Curious to see what the Guild and Court of Two models look like.
  21. If we do get the Guild, I don't know if it would be what is pictured in that shot. In the Allegiances video they use that shot to depict the Guild before the portal reopens. They go on to describe how they began to lose strength and power trying to maintain control on both sides. I assume this is what allowed The King's Empire and Abyssinia to rise to power without resistance. If they do make an appearance, they would be a broken army. That works in Faux because a group of soldiers from a broken army sticking together out of survival makes sense in a skirmish game, but I don't know how much power they would still have on earth compared to KE and Ab who seem to be the dominant factions/Empires in this game, nor the best way to represent that in an army game.
  22. Nerdy knowledge bomb incoming... The original scale for measuring miniatures was from the bottom of the foot of a 6' tall male model to the eyes, not the top of his head. Back in the day you mainly played with soldiers and knights, so measuring to the top of the head would be impractical as most were wearing helmets or helms and would vary from sculpt to sculpt, depending on the design. Since then it has diverged greatly. Games Workshop in particular plays a 32mm heroic scale, so they are slightly larger than a normal human. I find Malifaux takes quite a bit of license as well, but they are considered 32mm as well.
