  1. I have a tool with wax for picking up litte gems for finger nails. And there are tools like a paper wrapped pen only it's wax. These are amazing.
  2. Looks to me like the AK varnish was applied to thick and it stayed cohesive to itself because of the gloss surface. Damn! I would feel so frustrated too!
  3. My rule of thump about proxies/conversions is that I want it easy for the opposing player to know what's going on on the table.
  4. I may cannot post painted minis every month, but sure I can offer some inspirations outside our miniature painting bubble (as you all have already posted the usual suspects): Marco Bucci did some great videos on ambient light Zoe Hong has a lot tutoials on color theory Mural Joe has a very good video on how to use color theory And if you want to go a bit into serious display painting (or anything else) James Guerney's Color And Light should be on you book shelf (and he has some good and funny videos too).
  5. The nightmare edition Molly will normally available during some of the special offers from Wyrd. I'd say at the least it will be availabe at the black friday sales. So you definately should wait a bit. As you have two masters in ressers, I would choose Reva and wait for pirate Molly later this year.
  6. And if you don't like to join the Monthly Painting Challenge feel absolutely free to open up your own thread to show your stuff (and get feedback if you're up to it).
  7. Now I want a mad dentist too! 😎 I read the title and had the song in my ear immediatly.
  8. What's the IMP technique? Looks very good on heavy structured surfaces.
  9. I assume you use all the colors. Normally models look great an bases with contrasting colors. But in your case you use all, so no contrasting color for all. In that case I would try a rather light base going for a contrast to the black.
  10. @Viruk How did you do the spider webs? They look amazing.
  11. On a gaming miniature I'd use gloss varnish. If I'd try to paint something glossy I would paint small but strong highlights and reflectet light in the shadows. At least give it try.
  12. I so much want to paint this model - now! Awesome!
  13. I'm looking forward to the RN.
  14. I use acupunture needles to pin small parts of my models. At first I hated it but I got used to it and now do it nearly every time.
  15. Syringes of Necrotic Machine and the fingers of the Night Terrors were challenging.
  16. Looks like Jason Voorhees got melted with his mask, changed his life, made a diet and now loves reading poems. Awesome model!
  17. If you want to get a little more serious with painting the Vallejo Model Color range is a good starter. If you're not that much into painting I'd give GW Contrast Paints a try. I haven't tried them myself but they seem to get the job done real easy and good.
  18. Finally I found the link to the picture. Very nice. Can't wait to see more!
  19. I finished my Archie. First I had to wait until he was available again. And finally after I painted him he got nerved. Guess I have a special new-painted-model-curse. My newly painted models don't get killed in the first round I use them, but they get nerved after I put color on them. Same with my Rotten Belles in ME2.
  20. It depends. Normally some miniatures can take some time until they're availabe again. But with the release of ME3 and the distibuters not ordering enough stuff it's still difficult to get some things. And I guess it will take some time until it gets back to normal. Wyrd stuff normally is reliable. But when the distrubuters are not ordering enough one can't blame Wyrd. (I'm waiting since June). But I'd rather wait than play something else. There's no game like Malifaux.
  21. I have no experience with still water. But if the cloudyness is only on the surface you can probably fix it with a coat of varnish.
  22. Thanks to all of you! Happy holidays!
  23. This: A keyword that is good for the pools where Molly isn’t the first choice? But if you have a suggestion for the tougher Match-ups I'll be reading with interest too!
