  1. Funny. Personally I like to paint texture because you don't have to put a lot of work into smooth blends. Just some dashes or rough stippling. You can achieve great effecs with minimal work.
  2. As always superb paintjobs. These look like 54mm versions of the orignal models!
  3. Awesome model! Can't wait to get paint on it!
  4. Search Youtube for: Vince Venturealla purple, or pink He has a lot of tutorials, newer and older ones.
  5. A little late but maybe still helpful : for pinning small parts I use needles for acupuncture. The small drills I would by in dozens as they tend to break easily.
  6. I want to upgrade my set of tokens and markers. I have an ME2 set from Customeeple. And I want to expand it with tokens needed for ME3 and new Masters. At the moment I'm playing Molly. Next year I want to expand to Reva, Mc Mourning and Seamus. What tokens and markers would you recommend to have a very good selection for ME3, GG2 (?), and the new masters? I have: 5 Scheme markers 5 Corpse markers 5 Scrap markers 8 Activations markers (don't need more) 7 Soulstone markers 16 Wound markers (I don't need more, we count with dice) 5 Burning tokens 3 Fast 3 Focus markers (with Molly I need more) 3 Poison tokens 3 Shielded stance 3 Slow
  7. Sorry, but I don't know. I've only seen them in clubs or from friends. I didn't even knew there are two lines.
  8. What is your paintitng technique. Looks really good and I would've not guessed that this is some kind of quickpaint!
  9. I love the sets from 4ground. I have some from TT-Combat. These are good, but you have to paint them. The mdf sets from 4ground come painted and look quite good out of the box.
  10. Or in tune: You have no time He can turn on a dime with his stare Spins you around and he's taking you down He don't care Stay out of his way or you know you're gonna pay eating wall
  11. In german, but you'll get the idea: TWS Krater
  12. Milliput (yellow/grey). After mixing, let it set for 30 minutes. You can roll it very thin. As it is water solutionalbe you can wipe the excess of. Or you mix it directly with a little water (blob on the table, small hole and stirring with a waterers old brush) and "paint" it over the gap. I also recommend a small clay shaper. Usually the gaps with wyrdy miniatures shpudn't be too big. So most of the times you can put some teick varinsh over the gap and wait for it to dry and level itself during the process. If you search on YouTube you should find some tutorials by Vince Venturella or Marco Frisoni (and others).
  13. That's what I wanted to suggest too. In addition: if he's then winning the next games you know your crews are a bad match-up.
  14. Now there's no turning back. After some games of Malifaux it'll get impossible going back to ' move there and there and kill everything'.
  15. For a painting project I bought my first box of TOS miniatures (Doomseekers). I was shocked by the poor quality of the assembled miniatures. Some had 1mm wide gaps. One had the head glued on almost backwads and it had a big piece of gauze glued on the back og his rope. On some models details where obscoured by glue. And to get rid of the moldlines on the assembled models is so much no fun (nommally I like removing moldlines a lot - feels like meditation). If anybody asked my about TOS I could not recommend it. Miniatures like these nobody would by on ebay. I always felt like I'll start just for the fun of it a faction, but now I'm cured. This is sad because I want TOS (and Wyrd) to succed. But this is really bad material.
  16. Crooligans are already mentioned. Another Minion could be a Rable Riser which develops more and more consciousness and steadily evolves. One of the old Punk Zombies - Punk'Z not dead!
  17. You mention an app - is it for free? 😉 I very much liked the first episodes. A big plus for me is the length. I don't often have the time to listen to much longer podcasts and it's always not easy to recall all that's been said if you pick it up again a week later. The one episode where you discuss the rules questions about double terrifying test I like your discussion but I really missed your opinion an that matter. If you do something similar again please share your thoughts how you handle it your meta. As a beginner I still struggle with positioning and movement in the first round. I think also this is something where a lot of players could improve and shorten the gamelength. So I'd really appreciate episodes about basic thoughts about strategies and scemes on a very (!) basic level. Thanks a lot for creating quality content for our game!
  18. Thank's for the heads up! I missunderstood easy to play would be the same as easy to learn.
  19. That sounds great. I guess you just determined my next crew. I was thinking about McMourning (when finally his ME3-Box is available), but I always wanted to paint Reva. Now let's hope I'll finnish her before ME4.
  20. And I always thought that was Malifaux in particular. After a game I always feel like I have to change to Mantic's Deadzone.... 😄
  21. I went with the Dead Marshall. I thought mybe he can support a steady flow of Scheme runners during the game. I played against a Parker crew. We managed two rounds. After these rounds my experience is: Molly: still feels very defensive to me. Buffs the crew with premonition and critcism in the first round. In the second premonition again and filled up my hand with 6 cards eating markers. Necrotic Machine: healed Dead Rider and got shot (ignoring armor) Archie: I made a mistake and moved him far to the side. Let's pretend he was looking for some ice cream. But I guess he would've come back later in the game pummeling stuff. Dead Rider: My first game with him. I think I played too offensive the first two turns. He was down to 1 HP, but got healed by heroic NM. I guess I have to keep him in the back till third turn, making the most out of his triggers. Forgotten Marshall: I played him too offensive. He was down to 1 HP. After that he hide behind a building hoping to get some more summons later in the game. But it took my opponent some ressources to get him down to 1, so that'S okay too. Crooligan: Got summond first turn and jumped after Archie. She would've removed the second strategie marker in hte third round. Night Terror: Removed the first strategy marker in turn two. Thanks to agile he walked out of engagement. I liked him very much. Another was summoned in turn two but did not much this turn. All in all a good game - as always thanks to my very relaxed opponent who patiently wants to get me good at the game! According to him I did well. After turn two it feels easier to me because I'm not afraid to make mistakes and try to play as fast as I can. But turn 1 still feels like 'OMG what do I gonna do!?!'
  22. @Maniacal_cackleWow! Thanks for taking the time. This helps a lot! I took the marshal in my last few games, but he didn' do much summoning. If the only reason he is in your list is because I could experience more of the keyword models I think I'd rather take another model. So If you had to play with this limited pool what model would you pick instead? Maybe two Crooligans to help with the sceaming? And in your list the Night Terror is the only minion Molly can target with constructive critisim? Should he just focus the first activation?
  23. After a long pause I'm finally getting a game of Malifaux again. I'm still learning the rules and my main goal is to get confident with a keyword Molly crew (my first master). So at the moment it's not interesting to me what faction or crew I'm facing. The setup of the game tonight is: Symbols of Authority / Flank Depolyment / Leave Your Mark, Breakthrough, Spread Them Out, Claim Jump, Research Mission My pool is: Molly, Necrotic Machine, Philipp and the Nanny, Archie, Forgotten Marshall, Rogue Necromancy, Dead Rider, Crooligan, Night Terror, Rabble Riser So my three qustions are: 1. what Scemes would you take 2. what crew (bonus: why) 3. how would you deploy and how would you activate the first round Question 3 is the one where I loose the most time in my games. As I'm still not familiar with Molly and still have to learn the Strategies and Scemes so I'm a bit at a loos during setup and the first round.
