  1. It's also likely that dual -> mono faction masters can still hire minions from the faction they are no longer part of via keywords (e.g. I would expect that Brewmaster should still be able to take the drunk monks)
  2. I appreciate they have more space for the art. But so many questions. Was 'card storage' on the checklist too? I have card binders/portfolios for easy access to my Gremlin & Neverborn cards and I don't think such a thing is available for 70x120mm cards. I think there are deck boxes, but they aren't very useful when you need quick access to an entire faction (i.e. multiple deck boxes worth) when you put together your crew. And are upgrades Tarot sized too..?
  3. Som'er didn't really need a huge buff, and his Higher Proof upgrade seems pretty good to me. +1 Sh and can't declare triggers means your Bayou Gremlins suddenly become a lot more reliable, instead of relying on somehow getting a Dumb Luck attack through and killing themselves (or others) in the process. A lot of the new upgrades give whole new playstyles to Masters, but Som'er was already versatile enough - both of his new upgrades are 1ss and not limited, which means they can supplement what he already has.
  4. Definitely. I'd suggest just trying a core of Pandora, Big Model (Rider/Emissary), Mr Graves, 2 Sorrows/Insidious Madnesses and add a model to try out that you think will be good for the schemes and strategies. Pandora's two Limited Upgrades provide two different ways of playing her. The 'Brawldora' playstyle uses The Box Opens for survivability while she scoots around causing Wp duels and pinging models for damage through Misery effects. The Voices upgrade provides a more control-oriented playstyle, in which you paralyze enemy threats with Pandora and control enemy activations (through Incite etc) so that your big beater (Hooded Rider, Nekima, Teddy etc) can do its thing. You've got a lot of stuff that Pandora likes. Both Sorrows and Insidious Madnesses make good Scheme Runners. Changelings can be summoned by the Emissary, who is great in a Brawldora crew (or in general, in my opinion) as it can copy Misery. Mr Graves gives mobility to Pandora and her crew, and can hit things when needed. Lilitu is great on her own thanks to her huge engagement range and Lure, and Lelu is okay paired with her. All I'd suggest is the Primordial Magic as it's a great totem, as well as the Generalist Upgrade decks for the Neverborn Upgrades. Finally, there are loads of useful Pandora threads on the forum, I suggest having a dig around!
  5. Give them Fast an Iron Skeeter and run them up the board. You can spend all 4 AP on 'ranged' attacks with their wonky damage track on a big juicy target if you wait for it to activate first, and the speed of the Iron Skeeters means you'll be able to get around cover etc (if you can't, you can always charge instead). Strange attack vectors & lots of attacks with high moderate/severe damage means they can make up for costing one-and-two-thirds of a Bayou Gremlin.
  6. It's Neverborn only. It's pretty much just the Gupp summons (besides her being a decent beater) - but you get a *lot* of Gupps very easily, and they make excellent schemers - especially in the late game. This is really useful when you have Wisps and so on that aren't great at getting Scheme Markers down (where you want them, at least). As for too much support - I'm not a huge fan of going all-in on the Doll. It's great, but so is Obey, and the Wisps let you pull off some Doll shenanigans while doing everything else. However, 25ss on Sammy/Nurse, Wisps & Spawn Mother isn't that bad - they don't just offer doll-support and scheming abilities, you get a beater in the Spawn Mother, movement denial tricks with the Wisps (Raven Form is fun with them, too) and summoning/scheme denial with Sammy.
  7. That takes some setting up, as it's inexplicably not a Construct, so you need a scrap marker and more cards. I like the Emissary with Mah, Zoraida and Brewmaster, but I've yet to try it enough to say much about it.
  8. Zipps' crew box is great, so with that as a core you're off to a good start. The Bayou Gremlins get you some more activations and can run schemes and the Whiskey Golem has some synergy with Earl. However, two suggestions: Firstly, I'd swap a Skeeter or some Gremlins for Sparks. Sparks can make Constructs Fast as a (0) for a measly 6 of any suit. A 4 AP Whiskey Golem? Yes please! Also, he can make your Bayou Gremlins drop Scrap Markers when they die - useful for Earl's positive flip aura. Secondly, upgrades! If you take 3 SS worth of upgrades on Zipp (Dirty Cheater, a Limited Upgrade and another - I like Rambling Diatribe, but there are plenty of options), you can get 3 SS worth of upgrades on your Sky Pirates for free. I'd suggest you take Treasure Map (for free!) and Where the Captain Can't See on the First Mate (see the Pull My Finger wiki page on him) and two of the Sky Pirates upgrades on the Iron Skeeters - Hovering Airship is fantastic.
  9. Oops, you're right - so everything can be a construct! I had some fun using a Zipp crew with Sparks, Earl Burns, Iron Skeeters and Survivors. Give Fast to an Iron Skeeter (Can get the suits from Earl Burns if you need it), then run the Skeeters up the board, giving Fast to the Survivors while dragging them along. Hilarity ensues!
  10. And any non-Leader that Sparks can get his hands on
  11. They do work. You just have to use them a little funny. Check the GMort's Chaotica assembly guide, I managed to do mine in a similar fashion.
  12. I did similar for my skeeters. It's either that or use cork or something to give them something to stand on. For the Iron Skeeters, you should have got some flight stands in the box - if not, message Wyrd!
  13. I haven't tried it, but Dreamer can give Fast to Stitched Togethers with a 4 of Crows, so if you're going to take Vasilisa with Dreamer I'd do it for the other things she brings.
  14. As Dogmantra said, another Som'er box would be a good idea. You can never have enough Bayou Gremlins. I actually did the same thing and sold the spare Lenny on eBay. As for Wong, you can run him without anything from his box. Wong excels with any 'elite' crew, or pretty much anything really - in fact, I think the old '1.5 ed' plastic Wong model is in good demand because of people looking to get him on the cheap. You can always pick up his crew box later if you want the contents (although the Lightning Bugs are available separately) and sell the spare Wong on.
  15. Sounds like a good plan! The Swine-Cursed aren't out yet, but they should be at the end of the month. Note that they are fantastic with Wong - his Ooo, Glowy! upgrade (usually carried by Sammy) buffs all models with the Magical condition, and the Swine-Cursed are all Magical.
  16. How on earth are you taking Hayreddin with Zoraida? Note that while good with Zoraida, Nurses aren't a necessity, and it's the only real overlap between Ressers and Neverborn/Gremlins I can think of. I'd advise sticking to one faction for the time being too, it's easy to suddenly end up with everything
  17. Wong is a good choice. Wong likes Sammy, Gracie, and *really* likes Burt if you have him. Ma Tucket would be good too, I think - sadly the Bushwackers aren't great (yet...) but the Emissary is great with her, Mancha from Wong's box is a melee beast with her and Trixiebelle is fantastic. I like Zoraida, and she does have some Pig synergy, but her box doesn't bring much to Ulix or Wong, and she'll want more extras (Will O' Wisps etc).
  18. This is a good Scheme Pool and Strategy for Zipp. He can easily deal with Tail 'Em and Accused thanks to his LoS blocking and positioning abilities, and can bring Earl Burns along if he needs Scheme Markers for Dig Their Graves or Interact Actions for Accused. I'd take The First Mate with Where The Captain Can't See and Treasure Map (the latter for free) for sure. His Croak can reposition enemy models, useful for Turf War, Recover Evidence and removing Accused. If he gets Accused or spotted for Tail 'Em he can Leap out of engagement. Finally, if the enemy is going for Dig Their Graves or Claim Jump he can eat their Scheme Markers, cycle cards for misc effects and gain loads of armour. Maybe Fingers/Trixie too, but both are expensive picks and it's hard to fit them in with The First Mate. I like to get the most out of Zipp's Limited Upgrades, so I'd probably take two Iron Skeeters with the free upgrades.
  19. Or use Merris, a Slop Hauler and Old Cranky. You spend SS on those to 'enable the summoning', but then you get an extra War Pig on Turn 1 as well as a good Totem, a Slop Hauler and an excellent Scheme Runner. I don't really see an issue
  20. 1) Yes, as far as I am aware. Note that Terrifying is useless against Lenny, who is immune to conditions 2) No. The Bandersnatch cannot make Disengaging Strikes as it has no attacks (easy to miss!) 3) Teddy doesn't have Pounce, but can take an attack when an enemy fails a Wp duel... and is a great vehicle for Bandersnatch delivery (Regenerate, easily pushed, large base, (0) push, Ht 3 and Terrifying 13!)
  21. Having just looked at the card, no, you don't have to be able to push in order to get the effect, for the reasons Adran laid out.
  22. Oh yeah, you're right. I think I tried this last time I used her but noticed that, actually! Oops!
  23. I'm new to Dreamer too, and I was happy with summoning Coppelius. Guess I know who to get next... Also, anyone tried the Bandersnatch with Dreams of Pain yet? Riding a Teddy into battle is amazing - 5" Ml, regenerates the Shadow Lair damage, pulls enemies towards Teddy and can make them attack Teddy and take a Horror Duel...
  24. Dirty Cheater is great on her as she heals when she cheats the Initiative and keeps her alive to do that for longer (in my experience, she tends to have a target painted on her..). Plus all of the above. The only problem is that Dirty Cheater is Rare 2, and everything wants it, so it really depends what else I'm taking!
  25. Just a quick note on the Stitched Togethers - you can only ever Reactivate once per turn (pg. 62 of the mini rulebook). Else Gracie would be even more horrifying..
