  1. Burt and Gracie have synergies, yes. Burt can offload hits, Gracie is really tanky and heals. Burt can make Gracie push into base contact with an enemy, and though not exclusive, with Saddle she can move Burt around when she walks. Might also consider Sparks, as he works well with Zipp's heavy Construct slant.
  2. Gods, I love this Allegiance more and more with every reveal....
  3. If this lasts a while, until I have holiday funds...
  4. Well, some of the models are larger? Honestly, the basic troops are usually listed as 30mm in the previews, or 40mm.. so roughly the same size?
  5. My Necropunk is a bit non-standard due to how fragile his cyber-arm bits were... pieces broke coming off the sprue. The fiddly bits were the rough spot. The actual core and limbs bodies on the little guys weren't too terrible
  6. Nephew One is highly-enthused for the Hordes. ..somehow, we always seem to start out as the 'otherworldly' factions (I'm all about the Cult). Love their aesthetic though. Reminds me a bit of Fallout's Mirelurks, a bit...
  7. I do want the Russians, eventually, to be a thing. But for now, the Cult is hitting almost all my buttons. The shenanigans those portals will allow for....
  8. Yeeep, love their horrific, Barkerian aesthetic...
  9. The Burning Man's power over me grows... totally sold on the Cult now.
  10. Anything Gremlin related in general. I don't even play Grems, but I build and paint for my nephew who does. Separate feet are my Kryptonite... Malifaux is my first minis game. And I just finished building Nicodem - with no glue getting on my fingers! I feel this is a milestone
  11. She is slippery, very slippery. Hard to hurt. Able to be a vicious killer - though see below. Also able to be a very control-oriented master. Downsides? Her damage is heavily dependent on the power of her enemies. If all your opponent has left are low-damage trash, or worse, tarpits, Pandora will struggle bringing them down. And the rest of her support crews tend to be weaker and somewhat fragile, if usually fast. Also, she really has little sustain - Candy helps, but I've not seen a lot of reliable healing out of Candy, especially when you need it the most - when you're playing Brawler 'Dora. ..oh, and you may lose friends.
  12. Johan, Sue, Big Jake? I'm looking forward to my Dead Outlaws, have them ordered. Jack likes the Crossroads 7, too.
  13. Hey, I'm just happy to be getting a free, awesome looking new addition to the Barrows gang. Honestly never horribly cared for the face on the base Bishop, and didn't own him yet.
  14. I'm just glad to learn more about Earthside. And see it getting a taste of its own world-invading medicine
  15. Honestly, I love the Empire's aesthetic. Just love the Cult's more. But Empire's my second place so far.
  16. That big thing on the Allegiance page surely looks draconic...
  17. Let's see how EARTH likes it! BURNING MAN! BURNING MAN!
  18. These look so damned cool. Vaguely Illuminated-esque even.
  19. Looks like Abyssinia for the heavy metal.
  20. My nephew/regular opponent is fond of the Mecha-Gremlin Death Squad aesthetic. Ordered Zipp for him at GenCon, and he loves him, so much he had me order him Sparks and Mechanical Porkchop over Black Friday. Also, Zipp is.. entertaining and just fun to play with and aganst (well, I have fun fighting agaisnt him and the nephew seems to lvoe him. We both get a laugh out of Drop the Pianos!- especially when Mutiny or "Are They Dropping the Loot?!" hits... )
  21. There is no way the Guild are anything but the worst of the worst. They're all the evils of fascism, imperialism, and unfettered capitalism, all rolled into one obscene package and literally trading in souls - And what's worse, they're not even very efficient! Unless lore has updated (I'm behind on books), the Lucius is still prominent and influential (though the new G.G. is less amenable to him?), the official city coroner and undertaker are both prominent Resurrectionists, and the examples pile on elsewhere about how terribly, hilariously badly compromised they are. And driving the Ressers right out into the places where they're most likely to find lore to improve their dark arts... And being honest, none of the people they're explo - protecting would be in danger in the first place had they not been invading another world for the second time. Not even touching on the slave labor, company town schemes, sex trade with less-than-willing participants... Does not mean there aren't genuinely heroic, good people in the Guild - but there aregenuinely heroic, good people in the Ressers too... and for what it's worth, Sonnia and Hopkins do awful things, but they seem...not sadistic, at least in the bits I've read. Honestly, most of the 'pure' Guild Masters seem to be mostly-decent folks serving deeply wretched, evil masters. And while the Neverborn are vicious and cruel.. they have survived horrible hardship for centuries and now have alien invaders assaulting their homes, stealing their relics, and generally being a plague on the land they suffered immeasurably to free and reclaim from the Tyrants... and those same invaders have begun allying with sad entities! The 'Born are the good guys! As for the Thunders, they seem, to me, slightly more-vicious, Asian-originating Arcanists ultimately. More overtly violent and more dealing in drugs and the like, so the 'worse' gangsters the gangsters that are the Arcanists (and let's be honest, most of the 'leadershp' are just that - neighborhood-friendly in some cases, but still...) I'd more put it at 1. Gremlins 2. Outcasts 3. Neverborn 4. Arcanists 5. Thunders 6. Resurrectionists 7. Guild In descending degrees of morality, with the caveat again this is more a collective than necessarily the individual.
  22. Same boat. Resurrectionists, in my case. I had wanted a summoner/support Master, and my crushes as a child were Lily Munster, Morticia Addams, and Elvira... so can't get that lovely alt-Nicodem and not put her to use...
  23. Pandora's not too hard... ..except on your friendships. She's hard on those, if your friends play you with her as your Master...
