Sorry for that. I misread What if i use mcm instead? He's also great in melee, he can cure himself, high mobility and he can do great things with scheme marker related objective ,if you are ready to endure poison. that, with a crew like ortegas, where shrug off is a common feature, isn't a great problem. He also can deliver precision to the crew.. 1 ap and a mask to make nino and santiago immune to armor, then charge. Last but not least, 'Cisco offers the proper solution to the horribles df and wp of the doctor. (Please, remember that these are merely conjecture, i'm not searching for the best buld around, but for well-rounded FUNNY crew to enjoy a different playstyle)

Why family? Because 1) spotter: lady j will be in the thick of things, really few enemies will be out of 8" from her. 2)someone ain't got sliced up properly? Problems with "hard to kill"? Santiago can activete right after her (if you placed him properly) and shoot in combat, taking care of the survivors. And, if you plan to bring togheter a pistolero de latigo... (By the way, for "spotter" i want lady j too in the family: never count too much on cisco, if my enemy knows a little how to play, cisco will be a dead man walking)

Lady j can "enter" in play in the 1st turn without any trouble, and with crew "difficult" for dita (crooked man? Any?) Or undead in general its great

Thank you! I have not faced a tournament yet, i lack of experience. Never faces nothing other than neverborn and guild..i will run my first tournament next month, i want to be prepared by the way... usually i litteraly "throw" cisco at people with abuela: her action "listen up young 'un" to force cisco to do "enfrentate a mi!" On the meanest thing around, then unload granny shotgun on the unlucky bastard. If not dead yet, companion cisco to finish him off, and/or jump on the next bad guy, to help dita targeting him. Not the best strategy around, but it works. I will defenitely try effigy and emissary

Yeah, i meant hair trigger, sorry XD Please, teach me.. i'm new, and i have played a really few matches, but i can't really imagine how to play your crew: francisco without diestro? Why Brutal effigy and not wastrel (just for example)? How do you place you pieces? I found really important a solid melee fighter with good mobility to merry with dita and look out for ambushers/scheme runner.. austringer is a good replacement for my dr grimwell? Why aura ancestral/os veo by default?

Well... usually i use Dita+trick shooting Enslaved nephilim Cisco+diestro Dr.grimwell+his own equip (forgot the name) Abuela ortega Nino 1x wastrel +trick shooting on abuela or nino, dependig on what i'm facing. I bring back with me always more wastrels (scheme runner) rifleman (they look awesome...and are a less expensive nino) and watcher (in combo with trick shooting, for armourloving guys hidden behind walls) The story's the same: cisco in the thick of things diestroing (sorry for the horrible pun) enemies, everyone else shooting at them (except grimwell, who will hunt down scheme runners and collect soulstones) USE ALL SOULSTONE ON PREVENTING DAMAGE ON CISCO: as long as he's alive, everything is fine. Attack with him only if necessary: his main goal is to use enfrentate a mi! - finesse - and bring dietro on the uglyest enemy. Thanks to granny and dita, he can do enfrentate a mi! More than once

I think that Nino is not so situational. Yes, it's not an auto-include, but he plays his part. For the damage itself, it is not a killer, but i usually play him this way: from the shadow-line of sight with a totem/scheme runner/focus. And the sucker's out. Or, with a good crow in your hand, try make him go first/last and shoot on the biggest/meanest thing: if he goes first, you wil make your opponent drop two card for sure. If he goes last, maybe even a soulstone

Granny claim her price in terms of ss, but for now she's my favourite ortega (not in that way..) Shotgun wedding on a scheme runner such watcher works great to shukle family members where i need them. Pull me closer is a free walk action, or an emergency exit for engagement Listen up young un is a good 3rd action on other guys... Than, try to invest some point on her, with a lead line coat on that old knees and her df trigger, you got an armor 2 old granny. Oh, and you csn always say that an old ma shotgun your opponent crew down XD

Hi everyone! I'm new into this and i fell in love with ortegas. I'm trying to establish sone strategies and links between the models..how do you play them? My favourite combo right now is 'francisco-abuela, or maybe francisco-dita-abuela, with cisco in the backline. Abuela with hair trigger, Cisco with diestro I usually push abuela forth toward the biggest bad guy, el-mayoring her for her safety (she's old, poor thing..), waiting for her to be charged. When the time comes, thanks to her abilities she will get away with just a scratch. Then, the routine is: 0 action: listen up young un on Cisco, that performs enfrentate a mi: he gets into engagement and push back abuela Then, the two AP of the granny go on hair trigger, pullin out 3 shotgun attack on the unfortunate guy, unabled to cheat due to Diestro, triggering slug on the third attack if necessary. I think this combo is pretty decent, but i do not see abuela listed in many crews. Why? For the rest of the gang.. how do you couple them? I think dita and papa together make a good couple..the only ortega i usually leave home is santiago because of his poor synergies with the others, bringing up in exchange the latigo fellow and a watcher (using him well can save me the 2 ap of trick shooting on dita, or let me use the 0 ap action to negate armor while watcher nagates cover) Every suggestion is welcome!!!
