  1. Numbers are nicely totting up for this. We do have up to 64 player capacity if needs be. Facebook link is here https://fb.me/e/1UEfLvdlS Happy to announce that Dice and Tokens - Tabletop Games, Tokens, Dice, Terrain and Models UK are sponsoring the event as well and will be providing some goodies for prizes More news soon
  2. Apologies to resurrect a thread but just to add a little extra to the Perdita conversation. Title Perdita overshadows OG Perdita 100% and upon release I claimed there was no reason to take OG anymore (I still stand by that claim) but when I was using OG Dita a lot I found myself bringing in Phiona quite a bit - she has been tweaked slightly now with an errata but still ticks the boxes as to why I brought her in the first place and that is tankiness and efficiency. She isn't as fundamental anymore with title Dita but still a viable option. Others that have been overlooked include the lawyer for their obey and shielded plus tools for the job is always good. The Jury for similar reasons to the lawyer and now, for title, the guild mage due to the discard synergy. With title I see less reason to look out of keyword but the pieces mentioned above are my common takes.
  3. Legend Chris thanks. Event is live on Bag o' tools for people to register https://www.bag-o-tools.com/live/#/list
  4. Bit late but here is the rules pack, most important thing to note is the schedule and wording on proxies and painted. JustPlayFaux Rulespack.pdf

  6. Numbers are looking really healthy for this. 16 sign ups so far with anywhere from 4-8 more sign ups. Medals have been ordered for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Swag and non-raffle prizes sorted. Prizes from Wyrd have arrived as well. It is all shaping up nicely.
  7. One factor regarding Nellie (Guild in generals) lack of podium is that I personally feel that Guild aren't generally appealing (particularly for the top players) that said there are some very good, high level guild players and it won't be long until we see some popping up. Another factor is I believe Nellie to be a lot more involved than other masters to get working, a master like this I generally label as a 'scratch the surface' master. Basically you need to really get play in with them to scratch the surface and delve below. Now Nellie, as a master she is ridiculously durable. Her actions generally can output a lot more damage than expected as well as the debilitating debuff game she brings. The amount of focus floating around the crew means that you should generally be hitting moderate with Nellie/Dade on their One More Question and Phiona will be churning out some reasonable damage too. Auguste brings in some additional damage but I feel he works best with Nellie 2 (distracted is vital for him to have any impact). The undercover reporter can also put out some decent damage if attacking the right opponent, at the right time. Journalists have some good mobility tricks with the printing press (hot off the presses), field reporters with marker removal and Phiona's bonus. Auguste brings crazy mobility IF running in Nellie 2 (doesn't quite reach the same level in Nellie 1 due to the lack of putting distracted out as easily). As mentioned previously some of the models are quite flimsy, basically the minions, again Phiona can help here and what you want is as much of your enemies attacks going into Phiona (armour, plus LLC if you really want and easy shielded from Alison) she struggles to be dropped, especially with the marker nearby. Field reporters are fairly mobile and do have serene countenance and false witnesses are really useful for their no cheat aura (tied with having to attack Phiona is really strong) plus false claim is brilliant (gives mobility to other models, pos flips for Phiona etc). You will have to fill out the crew a tad with versatiles at times but it isn't a necessity. Ultimate depends what you need. I generally find my core picks are Phiona Gage, Alison Dade and the Undercover Reporter (he doesn't get picked if the crew is likely to not have minions). These fulfill a good variety of roles and do a lot of the heavy lifting. Phiona - the tank to make your opponent waste AP / keep your crew ticking by. Alison - Mini Nellie, can shut down triggers, give out shielded, get fast, more slow and damage. Undercover reporter - displacement, forced interacts, decent melee attack, mobile. The other models mentioned are more situational. Also, don't sleep on the printing press, if it hits models near a marker it becomes 3/4/5 damage (while only stat 5 it is surprising how often it hits and causes damage). The crew usually needs a healer - Guild Steward is a solid choice, especially when moving models with the printing press. It can usually do with an additional beater - Grimwell can go nicely with the amount of staggered given out. I should have been on the podium at an event with Nellie 2 but a mix up with something in one game caused a loss that should have actually been a draw. I will be using Nellie again soon and in future events so hope to get some further success.

  9. Another few sign ups added to the list. As well as the Wyrd prizes there will be some additional prizes. I will start confirming these when the package from Wyrd arrives. I am also working on some event swag as always to commemorate the event
  10. I can happily confirm that Wyrd will be supporting the event with some prizes for the event. What are they? It's a mystery.... ooooooooh
  11. Just a few updates regarding the event. Current sign ups is at 9 players with plenty more committed but still to pay (this is understandable as there are two big events before this but anybody who can buy early please do) Those who know me reasonably well know that last year a friend of mine died from cancer, he was also a crohns sufferer and my last event raised money for charities relating to both. Well on the anniversary of his death my friends foundation charity is now registered and up and running. http://thetomclarkefoundation.org for those who want to know more about the aims and goals. As such any event I run will always have something to raise money for this foundation and a small amount of the entry fee will be donated as well (Just working out exactly how much). I am working on the prizes for this event but as those who have attended previously know I do try and push the boat out for prizes. Rules pack will be up soon but the encounters will be announced closer to the event.
  12. Is this one of the kickstarter foil decks? I have both from my KS that have never been used.
  13. Feel free to get involved buddy, it will be a great day for sure.

  15. Copying the world cup and hosting my 2020 events in 2022 may as well rather than the trophy go to waste...
  16. Samantha Thrace can also be used in Malifaux, they are used as counts as models. Those two both have more crossover than the Kings Empire in Malifaux because Binh has direct links with Kirai and Thrace is a member of the guild. The KE have, currently, zero relevance through the breach.
  17. I ran an event in Liverpool just a few days ago and will have numerous running there over the course of 2022
  18. My group plays over in Manchester (at Element Games) but I am sure you can find fault with the city also
  19. FWIW in the few instances I have known of people printing for bases it is usually an insert to slot into the bases provided with the models. For files thingverse seems to be the go to, for printing I am not entirely sure tbh. As Adran said, your base theme is probably better achieved with textured paints or polyfiller.
  20. Good morning all, The event is steadily drawing close and in just a few days you will all be flipping some cards and having a grand old time. Before that, a little run down of what’s going on and when. Schemes and strats will be announced tomorrow and that is when the event will be live on bag o’tools for everybody to register in advance. A little swag is being cut and printed for everybody as we speak - each player will get 5 markers each. The winner will win a custom measuring and widget set and a little carry tray for it. Each entrant will get a raffle ticket towards the raffle (wyrd supplying the goodies - should arrive any day). Best painted will be a single miniature of the players faction and the winner will get a redgrass games xl wet palette. As well as this I will be running a charity raffle, as many of you know a friend of mine died from cancer in April, he also suffered with Crohn’s disease. With that in mind the money will be split between cancer research and crohns/colitis. The prize will be a Halloween set of Zoraida models (both boxes) that I will paint myself (if you wish to) - you will also get a free entry to my next event if you solo the crew for it. Keep your eyes peeled as I drop some images of stuff as I get it :)
  21. Had confirmation that a prize offering is on the way from Wyrd, when these arrive I will make sure to post the goodies The player who places in first will also receive a custom set of measuring sticks and widgets, this is being produced currently and when it is done I will share this as well. Other goodies will be revealed soon.
  22. Hey everybody, Please find the rules pack attached. Give me a nudge if you need anything JustPlayFaux Rulespack.pdf
