  1. I love Tara in Resser. The Belle trick is very useful, and is indeed a good reason to run her with them. A couple FAST nurses are quite scary. You don't really mind discarding a card to get that Crow trigger, and they can heal the Void Beast if he gets supper low.
  2. I believe Strength of the Fallen is not counted for on disengaging strikes. That aside I really see this as more of models choices being sub par in headhunter. I agree with catbat07 in that headhunter is not about killing the opponents crew but picking up the heads. Reva is neither bad nor outstanding in headhunter, she can use all her tricks (mobility to pick up heads, killing things to make heads, killing important targets) for this strategy but you may end up wanting her to do everything. Picking minions that are AP efficient (nercopunks, belles, nanny, and Yin stick-out to me) are the best bet in this pool.
  3. With the last Scheme and Stones podcast talking about the Tara void list, it got me thinking of a list I run to focus on AP abuse and control. I was wondering what others thought of the list and if they saw such a list played against you, how would react to it/play against it? Tara - Dead of Winter - Knowledge of Eternity - Obliteration Symbiote Void Beast - Void Shield Rotten Belle x 2 Nurse x 2 Void Wretch x 3 In one iteration of this list it ran Bishop over the Void Beast, but now that VB is a Henchmen he has come out on top. Almost every aspect of this list is about AP increase for yourself, or AP denial against the opponent. With the 9 - 10 activation, amount of slow you can put, and/or a fast Nurse (these girls love their “energy” shots) you can really limit your opponent's options.
  4. I am going to assume you mean the Carrion Emissary and not Effigy as you mention shards. The two targets you want to protect are not worth the 10 ss cost if that is why you plan to the Emissary. Sebastian being Ht1 is easier to hide then most models and really should be hiding and walking around making good use of his aura. The Chihuahua also being Ht 1 is never a concern for me to try and protect. If my opponent wants to use the ap to kill sure go for it. Whatever did kill my dog will most likely become one after that with Mc never being to far away. The Emissary is still good and can provide a lot of board control while also not worthless for attacking. To bring it mainly for protecting other models i think is too big an investment.
  5. $10 entry event at Forgotten Path Games in Vacaville CA. Starts at 1pm. Come join us for a great time. Any questions please feel free to P.M. me https://m.facebook.com/ForgottenPathGames/photos/gm.1604250086257637/741506769352395/?type=3&source=44&ref=bookmarks
  6. I will be running a demo for Malifaux at Forgotten Path Games in Vacaville, Ca on 28th of this month. Any veteran players are also welcome to come down for a game. This a great time of year to learn a new game and also to build a new community of players.
  7. I take the stance that Tara is better in Ressers than Outcasts for two big reasons. 1) The models that she likes in Outcast are the kind you can hire anyways (Killjoy, and Bishop), or have access to something of equal value if not greater (looking at you Performers). 2) Being able to play towards an AP managing game, which I believe to be stronger play-style than the typical bury bomb There is also a very good guide to her called Sound of Silence.
  8. @twilightmikasa The game has been good to me so far, as even if I lose I am able to understand what mistakes I made during the game, and what risk I sometimes need to take get that oh so lovely VP. lol. I have built a nice Resser collection I just need to start getting the models for some of the summons I call in at times. I will have to keep an eye out for any events/tournaments in that area. I normally can make time for such things if given enough heads up on when they will be held, and I really do want some tournament level play under my belt as well as some friendly games I play around my area. @Gnomezilla I Just started playing not too long ago so I know very few people in the Malifaux community, but I do hope to change that. The keeping my location easily known is a good idea I might just make it a sig as to hopefully come across more people in my area.
  9. Hello my fellow fate twisting friends. I am based in a city of California called Vacaville, and this game has very easily become a game of choice for me. I play Ressers, and going to be branching into Guild soon due to getting that nightmare McCabe box (I guess building the models is the cost for such a fun game. ) The masters I have are McMorning, Kirai, Molly, and Tara the theme I started with is McMorning and his "witches". I am also on the look for a normal and regular play group so I can get some games in on a regular bases, and maybe work towards getting a tournament scene going at my LFGS (Forgotten Path Games).
