  1. Greetings once more fellow forum-goers, I am currently trying to work on Malifaux coming to the Panhandle. However, I have a few questions as to get started on this process for the shop I work at and I hope (*fingers crossed*) that this is the right place to obtain information: - Where as a retailer would it be best to order Malifaux product? We have a number of distributors at the moment but they are rather limited in how much Malifaux product they carry at any point in time. - When it comes to Fate Decks, I have read that there is a way to utilize a deck of playing cards and a conversion "chart" and/or "article" until we are able to order any for our shop. Any help that anyone can provide would be incredibly appreciated as we try to get this game off the ground at our shop. Thank you in advance, Arcanist Cupcake
  2. Greetings everyone, I hope that the New Year is treating you all well so far! My quest to continue to find the very best way to help my gamers learn Malifaux without being scared off by different rules than GW, etc. continues. Do any of you know where I could find a guide that would be perfect for essentially teaching a 'Malifaux 101' class to about 15-20 people that want to learn about the game before investing? They have looked at the rule books, but to many of them it feels like they are looking at a foreign language. I want to be able to make the game easily digestible enough so they are not intimidated and relatable to any of the other games they may have played (i.e. Warhammer 40K, Warhammer Fantasy, Warmachine, Hordes, etc.). To those of you that may have run into this issue, how were you able to tackle it without scaring off potential players with the differences in rules? Any help would be appreciated! - ArcanistCupcake
  3. I want to say thank you everyone for all the help that you have provided me. I am still a little nervous about the application process, however, I have been able to make a lot of recommendations to the gamers that come to my shop. I have never been so excited to see a miniature game take off! Everyone is falling in love with the models and the lore and I have the lot of you to thank for guiding me along the way. I appreciate the help so much!
  4. Thank you so much for making a new player feel so welcomed! I already have driven my boss crazy to stock the shelves with items and am in the works for planning our first demo and painting event. Since I am spearheading this cause, any recommendations to get a good feel for the rules so I can explain them to other people interested in trying out the game from the more experienced side of Malifaux? Looking forward to your replies!
  5. Evening all, Greetings from the Sunshine State on this lovely December day! My name is Amanda and I am super excited about joining the ranks of Malifaux players. I was first introduced to the game in 2011, but at that time Warhammer 40K had it's claws stuck firmly and the game never quite stuck. Now, with the release of 2E, I have decided to not only give it another shot but to try to drag all of the players from the local game store I work at in this venture with me! My boss and I recently looked up Wyrd's Henchman program and I look forward to hopefully being part of it in the coming future and hosting events for my players. This game could not be more up my ally considering my love for World of Darkness, Silent Hill, and all things spooky. It is my sincerest desire to be able to pass this interest and enthusiasm through learning how to play the game and painting my units with love and care. Thank you in advance for reading and I'm glad to be here!
