  1. 3 Should be OK. Keep in mind that Pandora usually has better things to do with her AP. Summon to one-shot troublesome model (ie Effigy) that would otherwise required 2 attacks to kill. Also keep in mind that Polter can summon Sorrows too with 13 of masks. Rarely used, but viable.
  2. I play Dreamer and Dora, both are masters that like to operate in the bubble of self-adoration, where every single model buffs or supports others. When I first saw Hinamatsu I thought: 'That's it! A self-sufficient model that can perform well outside the bubble! The flanker I always dreamed of!'. After I read your comment I started creating crews with Hinamatsu's own bubble of self-adoration. How could you do that to me?!
  3. Can't say if its cost's OK, cause I have never played him. We, the Neverborn, are supposed to have unique Henchmen with interesting abilities, not the strong ones . @Ludvig , I don't think it's a good example. Whole enemy's crew can farm Barbie for Information like there's no tomorrow, provided they have movement tricks or other means to get to him. You make it sound much less appealing Seriously though: I may agree that's resource intensive, I disagree with your placement worries. Keep in mind that 'lings have that powerful place (0) action, so they can do the set up thing themselves. It may be hard to decide which Emissary's '0' to use, especially at the round 2, true. If you value Titania's AP more than a high card you can hire Malifaux Child to cast the action from her upgrade. As I have said, that's just a theoryfaux, yet I'm quite fond of it, so thank you for pointing out all the weak spots of my brain's child. Just to be fair - Of course, one can choose Nekima as a beater in the Fae Queen's Court Crew, spending more SS points to hire her, then burning stones like crazy for damage prevention, while whining: 'Where's my defensive push trigger?', 'Why, oh why I couldn't take retribution's eye?', '13 ss model, and NO damage reduction?', 'Why those Changelings can't hit anything without cheating high?' etc.
  4. Tannen - I used him in Pandora's crew, he helped me score points but more importantly - he denied gaining points by the opponent (We played Ply for Information). In Pandora's crew he's far more survivable, having access to up to 3 (usually 2) Martyr auras. Theoryfaux, but our masters with Obey-like effects can turn his Chatty on outside his activation. Wicked Doll - Played it once or twice with Dreamer to give Empty Night'ed Teddy to Attack Flips. Wasn't worth it. Let's just face it: it's a 4 ss Minion that is not worth 3 ss; it's a summon that's not worth summoner's AP (and it can be summoned by non-master models!), not to mention a card from the hand. I see some potential with Collodi, i'm sceptical about the twins, though. Summoning Dora can hire Field Reporters - they provide her with a cheap source of conditions, too and are far better models. And they cost 4 ss, too. Candy - her personal upgrade is far from neccessary. Similarily to HydroMag, I used her with great success in Dora's crews back in 2016. I used her as summon healer in Dreamer's lists with mixed success, but I'm a bad Dreamer player. Unfortunately, it's a model that needs much support from the rest of the crew to work right. With FFM on suit gone, I hope to play with the model again. Mature Nephilim - Pure theoryfaux, again, but it should shine in Royal Titania's crew. With access to the Fae Squeal, extra armor and heals both from Titania and Emissary, he can be quite survivable. He offers some pushes and the very best Ml attack Changelings (summoned by the Emissary) can copy - to attack flips and min dmg 4. Please do note that you can't substitute Mature with other melee beaters in that crew. Barbaros - it's not a beater, it's a control piece. Never played with him 'cause I don't have the miniature, but I've heard he's good with Pandora and Titania. The key is his Challenge.
  5. I would say it's good, very good. These models don't lose their attractiveness after a point increase. That's the very best proof they were undercosted before.
  6. Tooth, Thorn, Claw and Rougarou (Titania's minions) are undead. All of them are tough minions and all of them can be waif's anchors. Tooth + Belle can score Set Up. Tooth + Rougarou can generate insane number of attacks. Thorn's solid, self-sufficient model with built-in card draw. EDIT: didn't notice Ludwig's post.
  7. I think it's all about it's summoning skills and abilities of foundry models to generate scrap easely.
  8. Ok, first of all - Pandora's upgrades. Because Eliminate The Leadership is in the pool I would suggest investing in some defensive upgrades: Aether Connection is IMHO a must, as well as full cache. Pick the Box Opens, if you like it. Alternatively, you can take the Voices instead to paralyze beaters (and thwart opponent's plan to score the Strategy) - just remember that you should kill at least one model per turn with Dora. I don't recommend Woe is Me for this Strategy. I advise to take Rile them up as your third upgrade - that way you can reliably kill models that have damage reduction and/or pathetic melee attack, i.e. Ramos (Eliminate the Leadership!), Brutal Effigy. That would be 8 or 9 points spent on Dora only. Speaking of Effigies - get one. It's cheap and durable, plus its (0) will save your bacon when models like 'Debt to the Guild'ed Francisco decides to Flurry you. I would also take Iggy with Malifaux Provides - he can protect Dora (and other woes - if you take them) with his Martyr ability, then heal by eating one of Hold up their forces. Take a model with Lure - either Lilitu or Baby Kade (or both ) to pull Dora (or other models) away from their scheme markers in order to avoid the Set Up. Kade with Depression can also kill things without too much armor, and with Lilitu you can score your own Set Up - she's got 4" so she can also Hold Up their forces. Both models are Woes, too, so both Iggy and Pandora can protect them with Martyr. Side note - lure has a really long range so it's trivial to score first point of Vendetta with it. Consider taking Mr Graves with 1k faces. If you're gonna start in the Corner deployment - just take him. He can kill stuff, he can survive a few blows, and he can gently show Pandora the door. Consider taking Doppelganger if you think you need a force multiplier. If you want to do the Set Up - The Tooth should be your choice. Take Thorn instead if you want solid, self-suficient model that would draw you some cards. Her good range can also help you Hold up their forces. If the terrain favors gunlines - take Freikorps Trapper and a pack of Changelings, then go Vendetta. Changeling is the very best model in the game to score points from Vendetta. I don't think Madnesses or Weaver fit well in this scenario, so don't worry about the lack of models. Emissary can remove Shed Blood Condition form enemy models, but he's far from necessary IMHO (third Martyr model would help though). Don't take Sorrows - they're good models, but they're squishy, too, and you will use Martyr mostly to protect Dora. That's just not the best scenario for them. I love Poltergeist, I really do, it's a great totem, but - like most of suggested models here - it's not cheap. You'll probably run low on SS points so just be that lazy, boring guy and take Primordial Magic as a card-cycling, cheap activation. You can even use it to score Set Up. Just remember to write a little report after the tournament, I'm curious now
  9. I'm not sure outactivation is the way to run this strategy. I would go for interact denial and activation control instead. As the Neverborn player I can assure you Pandora thrives in this strategy. If I were you I would take Trixiebelle, Maybe Fingers too. Interacts for 0 form Ulix Sound great.
  10. Yeah, I guessed that. That wasn't an accusation - the table is modular, after all. I'm just deeply scarred by All-Seeing Nino... Add a riverside, maybe? You know, some sort of canal. Some buildings look like they're built by the river.
  11. Cool diorama, but terrible map to play against shooty crews - especially Ortegas. Nino sees everyone = no interactions.
  12. Like the idea, however I would disperse focuses (pun intended) for two different attack actions - get one from queeg, activate, (1) focused pull or stab, (0) focus, (1) focused stab.
  13. For me, Hard to Wound is a protection against Blasts. As you've pointed out, it gets better when coupled with damage reduction. I merely glanced at the data, but I noticed some funny results here and there: i.e. 6wds 5Df chart, av7: compare 4/5/6 vs. 4/5/7. Could you please add standard deviation value?
  14. It is! Tried that last weekend with a great success. Also, don't forget your Doppelganger.
  15. @Fetid Strumpet: I'm relieved that you understand my reasoning - I was afraid that my argumentation was incoherent. To be honest, I don't understand yours, though. I assume that in 'count their numbers' Strategies (Extraction, Interference) you think Bone Pile's ability applies. Why it does not count in Ours! ? You argue that counting ss cost is something entirely different than counting the presence and that's the part I don't get. I'm quite fond of my interpretation, that's why I defend it with determination. I'm in no position to claim it's official or correct and the only reason why I didn't write this before is because I thought things like that are kinda obvious.
  16. I'll try to explain my reasoning again: At the end of turn we add up soulstone costs of the models. For this strategy, the Bone Pile counts as 2 models, so we add its cost two times. IMO you arbitrarily decided that 'the second model' has a cost of 0.
  17. I strongly disagree with your interpretation. There is no such thing in Malifaux rules as 'model packages' (i.e. hire two inseparable models for 7 ss). An extra set of... skulls doesn't create a second, virtual model with a cost of 0 ss, nor a pair of 'Bone Pilelets' with a cost of 3 ss each. Here's exactly what it does: The Ours strategy works this way: If it counts as two models, we have to add up its Soulstone cost twice. I do prefer my interpretation, but the way it's worded yours seems OK, too.
  18. Excellent question - I think they will put it in the FAQ soon. 1) Ours - that one's simple - I really don't see any other interpretation: It counts as two 6 ss models. I wonder if some guild players will consider hiring one of those via Domador de Cadaveres just for that purpose... 2) Take Prisoner - That would make it unlikely choice for that scheme. 3) Public Demonstration - I'm not sure - This one really needs a FAQ. EDIT: I checked a Bone Pile card again: it has another ability that interacts weirdly with gg2018 - it's immune to non-slow, non-scheme conditions, so it cannot help you gain points in Ply for Information or Public Executions.
  19. Keep in mind that stories have historical aspect - our games and rules do not. A master died recently, two more are incarcerated and we still can play them. Hell, I can give my Sonnia both Cherufe's Imprint and Cherufe's Parting Gift, or The Mask and No More Masks
  20. Huh, when I wrote that post I checked DriveThruRPG and official Wyrd store, and there was no sign of it.
  21. Only two of those, and I doubt that A Stitch in Time has been released.
  22. Hello Fated and Fatemasters, Although as a Game Master I run few TTB sessions, I consider myself mostly Malifaux player. I pay little attention to TTB official annual events and I read the books just to know better the represented world. A year ago (roughly), I've read on the Wyrd news page that as a conclusion of Nythera Global Campaign Franco Marlow was appointed as a new Governor-General of Malifaux. At first I ignored the info - I didn't take part in the event, I didn't know who that Marlow is. Later I learned that both Nythera and Marlow are pivotal to the stories in last two Malifaux books. Finally, I've read Nythera (A Penny Dreadfull version), suspecting that at least one part of the campaign would be a political power struggle inside the Guild, with Fated characters somehow involved. Needless to say, I was surprised and a bit disappointed. My question (and the reason why I started this topic) is: how TTB Players actually chose the new Governor during the Nythera Campaign Event? Who were the candidates? How the campaign looked like? Did You just run all that parts of the story, with Fated trying not to be crushed between fighting Masters, finally opening (or sealing) the Nythera, and afterwards you just voted in election of a new viceroy, totally unrelated to the plot? I hardly believe in that.
  23. Don't underestimate the power of built-in flips. Also keep in mind that both Hans and Trapper are Mercenaries. I doubt Hans will replace the Trapper in Neverborn Changeling Gunlines, nor in Collodi's lists.
  24. Well, I really don't like the miniature because of poor details, so I'm not interested in fielding him. I've heard he's the best of all discounted Riders.
