  1. I've mentioned it before but "This is Jack the Ripper and his zombie hookers" is the "haha what" that got me into Malifaux to begin with. Different strokes for different folks, I can see why that sort of intro would absolutely turn other people off as a sales pitch. But at least Wyrd is about 95% consistent about portraying Seamus as a horrifying, awful person with no redeeming qualities that you should never root for. Sometimes we get some gallows humor out of him that's kinda funny if your sense of humor is as dark as mine. In return we also get characters such as Molly and Colette as the antithesis of everything he stands for.

  2. There's an inherent misogyny to Seamus' character but in my personal experience it's only ever been a handful of players that have made it uncomfortable to me. There's been a few odd moments with Wyrd, but I've always felt that the story where Molly breaks free of him showed they know exactly what Seamus is.

  3. Beyond the loss of my models and a lovely kidney stone problem that required two surgeries, I live again!

(Cheap laugh at Malifaux Burns' release schedule) Ok, that done, has there been much proxy-play of Tara2 since the last time this thread was posted in? Was curious if anything new was unlocked/discovered for her beyond the 33 bomb from downtown.

  4. There have been a number of small, temporary Breaches between the two worlds throughout history, especially following desperate bids to avoid imprisonment by Shez'uul and (half of) The Dragon. A significant number of mankind's myths and legends may have been influenced by something from Malifaux winding up somewhere it shouldn't be. The Through the Breach supplement From Nightmares cites a number of examples like the Loch Ness Monster, Waldgeists in the Amazon, Cyclopes in the arctic north and, yes, the Fae.

Funny, I don't recall five test games before you starting doomsaying about Hoffman2! (I'm kidding, don't take this too seriously people)

I feel that the killing off of Collodi was just super anti-climactic. I mean, the rest of the Dead Man's Hand Masters at least got a proper build-up leading to something more-or-less epic and logical but Collodi just got randomly disposed of.

In retrospect it does feel like Collodi was foreshadowing The Burning Man's return, for what it's worth.

What this gives you is some nice efficiency with Auguste's Chasing Ghosts action. Giving a little push to all Guilty, but more importantly the trigger to draw (I'm not sure how many because the artwork is cut off) cards if those guilty have distracted.

Maximum of two cards. The TN of Chasing Ghosts is 10 and is a Mv 13 duel for enemy models, to be thorough.

I one-shot a Guild Lawyer turn 1 and it was the best feeling in the world

Sometimes to spread the tender warmth of the Burning Man you've just gotta put a bullet in a lawyer's face.

I just want to let you guys know, this really happens in Malifaux Burns. We predicted the future.
