  1. Thinking about these for the Apex keyword, to go with Cooper's base: https://www.miniaturemarket.com/ma019-1.html https://www.miniaturemarket.com/ma019-2.html
  2. Discussion topic: Corvis in Syndicate? Anecdotally he's proving popular over in DUA, but that's partly due to how he synergizes with Gibson and Eva in being really annoying. Do you still feel as good about him running in Anya's fairly self-sufficient keyword?
  3. In my slice of the fanbase, EVS seems like the new Keyword (sorry Basse) generating the least excitement. The little mention they do seem to get in my circles is largely for OOK use, like Calypso, or Harpooners over in Apex. Talking with friends, we've come up with a few thoughts as to why: 1) Some of the least obvious Keyword abilities on paper. Deep Discovery and Reconfigure are good, obviously, but like a lot of odds/luck manipulation I think it can be difficult to fully understand how good without seeing them go off on the table yourself. 2) A more restrained and 'realistic' aesthetic than some of their peers. Obviously they do have some wacky stuff like a bathysphere mech and water elemental, but a chunk of the models look like "ordinary people" with regular jobs. This can be leveled at other keywords even within the same faction -Syndicate especially (People in suits! At least they have Price of Progress)- but it makes them struggle to stand out compared to stuff like the Cadmus and Seeker keywords. 3) Their lore is too HAPPY, lol. Besides Maxine's brain now having a touch o' the Burning Man, as a friend put it everybody's bios are basically "they love science, but what they love more is their bond with the rest of the crew". Any thoughts? Anyone actually take Maxine for a spin? It's a little sad to see the thread slowly sinking toward page 2.
  4. Grave Goo proving that useful, huh?
  5. What are you sacrificing to fit in the Hopeful Prospect(s)? Cooper definitely seems like a Master that runs out of stones before cool tech, haha.
  6. Shambling Nests do get From the Shadows, so you can still drop them within reach of somewhere annoying despite their low Move.
  7. So - Harpooners. Have they changed much for people, theoretical or otherwise? Reeling in Pit Trap markers seems funny, if gimmicky.
  8. I think it's because you're prey. 🤔
  9. If you haven’t already, I recommend giving this a read- Ten Thunders flavored of course but it has a lot of solid thoughts and tricks for Wastrels in general.
  10. So, what have you been doing with Mr Mordrake’s Claimed By Shadow trigger?
  11. Was...what? 1e/1.5e: Core - Rising Powers - Twisting Fates - Storm of Shadows 2e: Core - Crossroads - Shifting Loyalties - Ripples of Fate - Broken Promises
  12. "Intrepid Fate" SKU: WYR23810 "Fool's Gold" SKU: WYR23812 Both set for March, along with Jedza's Core as mentioned in another thread.
  13. "Dark Reflections" SKU: WYR23811 Seems fair to presume Brocken Spectres + Nocturnes, scheduled for March.
  14. I've seen "March 26th" in some places after skimming around some, but I can't speak to the reliability on that.
  15. Just think of it as revenge for Paul Crockett's packaging, or something.
  16. Kinda funny that between Core (Anya, Sovereign, Winston, Surveyors) and Dirty Work (Corvis, Operatives) that Syndicate will be "done" in two boxes.
  17. I really like the art for the third Botanist, the Gremlin one.
  18. Wasn't 2e Kirai's box "illegal" under standard rules since it was too few Stones to actually run a Master-led crew? Just for comparison. Twisting Fates described Gibson as "very short", so he might be a smaller model as well.
  19. Ah, I think you're right. I took Gretchen's "you know what to do" like a directive to go retrieve the artifact himself, but the whole scene does read more sensibly as talking to her right-hand man. On another topic, what's listbuilding looking like in your theoryfaux? Of if anybody, like playtesters, have some real game experience to share. Like Kevinsmith01 was saying above, WP6 is just rare enough that I'd worry about betting on being able to summon Brocken Spectres in any given match. But then Ivan's summoning is just limited enough that I wonder if the "take an elite crew, summon to make up the difference" concept will work for DUA/Umbra?
  20. Amalgam definitely likes to see frail(ish) crews with a lot of moving parts.
  21. Slaughter at Stone Hill is the third and final story in 3's The Bayou faction book. It is primarily stars Ulix, and an Explorer's Society hopeful that wants to investigate some bayou ruins that a Gremlin clan are squatting in. Round Table is the first story in the Explorer's Society faction book. It's a introductory look at many of the faction's Masters, but is primarily focused on the organization's enigmatic leader Gretchen Janus and hints of what her aspirations really are.
  22. Incidentally, the "artifact that produced darkness" that inadvertently granted Ivan his new powers is presumably the same one from Slaughter at Stone Hill. Which would in turn make Ivan and Gretchen the unnamed characters from the aforementioned story's epilogue. The opening fiction here, Round Table, even has her refer to "loaning" him an artifact from the Bayou.
  23. I will admit to being pleasantly surprised. The Apex keyword has a cool aesthetic but I wasn't expecting too much lorewise. But Wyrd really gave them some good flavor, depth, or whatever you'd like to call it. Cooper being a jerk who loves his dogs is expected, but things like Model 9's personality or the Crypsis Corps actually being just two people (nameless named characters!) are pretty cool.
  24. In the interest of trying to spark some discussion for poor Basse. Would you take a Hopeful Prospect with the intent of trying to replace Rough Riders dying later in the game?
  25. And if you're playing casually, it's totally cool to just proxy some of the models to test them out. Kirai's got a large model pool and a chunk of her power comes from summoning, but you could do something as simple as use bases with names scribbled on masking tape. If you really want a third, you could add McMourning to Molly and Kirai. He's a personal favorite; his gameplay is weird, fun, and really different from the girls.
