So would you say Benny has any place with Hamelin2, or does the de-emphasis on the Rat engine leave him strictly a Hamelin1 consideration?

For the lore, Seamus is finding the Ressers a bit too cringe to associate with right now so he’s laying low in his Sebastian Baker identity. And finding fun new ways to murder people seeking shelter from the Burning Man.

He's gone completely nuts, spouts a lot of cryptic stuff, and has been on a murder spree through Guild frontier towns. Lucius and Dashel ultimately smash him, with Lucius keeping his (still conscious?) head as a trophy in a safe house.

Collodi's fate is actually covered in Lucius' story Ashes, Ashes, They All Fall Down in the 3e Guild book.

For closure, answering my own question: Von Schill is just wearing a heavy mechanized Freikorps suit so he can work when he should be recovering.

Effigy/Emissary are nice for the usual reasons, but with all the Keyword's positive flips and simple duels you can trigger Aura of Courage often. The Emissary's "I've Got Your Back" is especially lovely for disengaging your DUA models without them having to spend AP on it.

Funny question: Do we know what base size the Kaltgeists actually are? Both spoiler pics on the forum cut that bit of the card off.

Any thoughts on listbuilding with Maxine2? I'm feeling she doesn't actually change composition much but style of play, although the fact she now competes with Beebe and Calypso for Tomes does require some decisions. Alleviated some by Harness the Leylines, yes, but that can be inflexible and you really want those Mass of Tentacles triggers.

Regarding theme, it's probably little comfort to the Guild since he's dual faction but I've long adored Lucius. Both of his Keywords are neat and flavorful, though I don't like the sculpts for False Witnesses. Never actually played him and he's not repped in my meta, but the new Title feels like another targeted push from Wyrd to get me to pick him up despite the relative investment. Best Lucius lore moment: Kitchener contemplating yanking his mask off and parading him around HQ, to show Lucius he's not as clever as he thinks he is.

For real, it was one of the biggest surprises in this release cycle IMO. Some friends really slept on it when Explorers first dropped, but Calypso and I have made them think differently.

You guys almost got stuck with my charming personality; when I was getting into the game I was really interested in three tough ladies basically being the face of the Guild. Unfortunately I then saw Seamus' crew and found it entirely too funny...

I'm waiting for my copy to arrive, but I do have one burning question: what on earth happened to Von Schill? He was pretty injured in the fight with Hamelin's forces, but it didn't come off as it being necessary to amputate below the neck in the Outcasts book.

Mimics and robots? I'd say the Guild's all monsters (especially Nellie) myself, but...
