I'm very tempted, I will admit. lol Been waiting for Damian since 1e! I'm not eager to potentially re-buy Arcanists stuff again, whether it be Versatiles or OOK stuff people figure out.

Heh, barely related, but I have alluded to my collection being...destroyed... Well we've been going through some packed away boxes as we resort storage and look what I've uncovered:

I've mentioned it before but "This is Jack the Ripper and his zombie hookers" is the "haha what" that got me into Malifaux to begin with. Different strokes for different folks, I can see why that sort of intro would absolutely turn other people off as a sales pitch. But at least Wyrd is about 95% consistent about portraying Seamus as a horrifying, awful person with no redeeming qualities that you should never root for. Sometimes we get some gallows humor out of him that's kinda funny if your sense of humor is as dark as mine. In return we also get characters such as Molly and Colette as the antithesis of everything he stands for.

There's an inherent misogyny to Seamus' character but in my personal experience it's only ever been a handful of players that have made it uncomfortable to me. There's been a few odd moments with Wyrd, but I've always felt that the story where Molly breaks free of him showed they know exactly what Seamus is.

See, my meta banned me from playing English Ivan (pre-errata). I like Jack but it feels like he'd wind up a wasted investment too, lol.

I had been wondering if the burst of new Keywords lately "meant" anything given we have a number without an actual Master, but Lohith's fluff sure suggests there's going to be a Witness Keyword Master. Be interesting to see how it all pans out.

Uh oh, "Witness" is an alarming Keyword. Interesting to see this seemingly one-off character from the start of 3e's stories crop back up too.

Was curious if anything new was unlocked/discovered for her beyond the 33 bomb from downtown.

One of my fondest wargaming memories was a tournament day when some guys came down from another meta to participate and, in the words of one guy, "stomp some n00bs". He ragequit after he got destroyed in round one.

There have been a number of small, temporary Breaches between the two worlds throughout history, especially following desperate bids to avoid imprisonment by Shez'uul and (half of) The Dragon. A significant number of mankind's myths and legends may have been influenced by something from Malifaux winding up somewhere it shouldn't be. The Through the Breach supplement From Nightmares cites a number of examples like the Loch Ness Monster, Waldgeists in the Amazon, Cyclopes in the arctic north and, yes, the Fae.

It's not even a Gremlin mechanically. No Bayou Leader has a Keyword or ability that allows them to hire a Versatile Explorers' Society Minion out-of-faction, alas.
