Finished up Ivan Double Agent, Jin, and the Bokor for 28ss, excited to get them on the table. Ignore Harata in these pictures, hadn't sealed him yet last month so he ended up in the lineup after getting sealed this month.

As far as paint goes, I use a little of everything, even some craft store paint bottles (totally doable, you'll just be thinning them a lot more) but mostly I've found I like vallejo. Not only do they have good paint, it comes in dropper bottles. Shake, pop a few drop onto my palette (wet palette from Redgrass Games, love it) thin with water (a drop or two of water for vallejo, more for the craft store paint) mix until roughly milk consistency, paint onto mini with brush. Hasn't steered me wrong yet, but I'm always looking for new techniques.
As for this month, finishing up the three I started last month but not quite finished: Bokor, Jinn, and Ivan: Double Agent.

Wow, looking great everyone! Great start to the year.
I had a good start to the month, getting Harata done early, and made good progress on my other three pledged models despite a few bits of life cropping up (also why I couldn't get to my light box), but they're not quite there and will shift to February. Still, 9ss gets me my pledge, and my Performer crew is happy to have him available.

Starting off the year with Ivan: Double Agent, Gin, Haarata, and a Bokor.
As for brushes, I've been enjoying my W/N Series 7, caring for them with "The Master" Brush Cleaner & Pteserver, and generally being nice to them by avoiding anything even close to dry brushing with them.

Happy New Year all! Finished these up last night for a friend. Title Yan, a Gokudo, Alt Jakunna, a Shikome, and Kenshiro for 44ss.
Dr @Caedrus congratulations! And thanks for running the challenge through these last years, it's kept me going on painting many times!

My top summon with Z2 :
Mannequin (by far)
intrepid (generally good)
Arcane/Shadow/Carrion (utility)
hogepodge (rarely since Mannequin/Intrepid are better).
I'm curious, what are you using them for to make them so good? Granted, summoning a Take the Hit model with a heal to back up something holding a point is a good plan, but I'm getting stuck on their heal being Living only, and that's only 5 models in the keyword besides Zoraida.

Lots of good looking, colorful models everyone!
@Caedrus I wasn't timing myself, and did a lot of assembly line painting, so no clue if I hit the official Speed painting timing, but for the number of models done this month I feel pretty good about it (though it was a good reminder why I'm glad to not paint 40k armies any more).
Finished up a Witchling Handler, 4 Stalkers (1 translucent), 2 Thralls, the Brutal Effigy, and my Pale Rider (via a repurposed Rollins) for a total of 58ss this month

I'll ge finishing up my Witch Hunters this month, then probably be jumping back to Explorers versatiles.

Looking fantastic everyone!
I'm late to the upload party, couldn't unearth my lightbox in the wake of Halloween. But here we are: @Caedrus I finished Sonnia and her Purifying Flame for 17ss total, and made a lot of good progress on the rest of the crew.

Ah, the best month of the year! My local group is having a grow league this month into next so I'm putting my previous plans on hold to finally get into my Guild costume and do some opposition research playing a few games as Sonnia. Meaning I'll need to paint up the Sonnia crew I've had laying around a while. Threw in some Investigatiors and Agent 46 to finish up Lucius' crew, as well as Rollins Black as my Pale Rider. Oh, and finishing up an Effigy that's been half done for far too long.

I noticed this a few changes ago on android and browser versions, haven't made a network game today to see if it's still there, but previously, when naming your master on the network game page, McCabe showed Relic Hunter included in the name (probably a holdover from when he was one of the only models with a title, so it was just part of his name), once you got to actually making your crew a couple steps later both McCabe options were still available, but if Relic Hunter stays in the first step it's going to be confusing for some folks.

Looking great everyone! The freehand (especially those tattoos @Engorn!!!) and colors (Tuco's coat just POPS @Caedrus!) are truly impressive.
September's been busy for me as well, and I needed to make a quick change on what I was focused on, so I just finished the Duet and Mikhail (after much consideration about what to do for the sword) for 21ss.

Marching onward with more Seeker and Explorers versatiles this month. Hopefully finishing them up so they don't end up in painting purgatory when the inevitable GenCon goodies draw my eye next month.

My month's work: all three Moorwraiths, ol' metal Rami, the Lucky Effigy, and my white whale: the Lucky Emissary. I've had an image in my head of making this into a 50mm diarama of the Lucky Emissary as, essentially, the Bayou's version of Santa Claus, delivering 'shine at speed. Specifically, to Ross Jebsen, because I love the model but have no interest in playing Ulix. It feels good to get that off the shame pile and into the display case (and on the table. @Caedrus all told, comes to 32ss.

After a busy last half of last month I'm excited to get back to painting regularly. Seeker and the Explorers starter is all ready to go, but my focus will be a few Bayou models that I keep putting off, including the Emissary, which ye see indeed be me White Whale, yarr. Well, now that I finally finished Gracie recently, that is.
I've had an unconventional "art project" idea for that Angry Bacon Hampster Wheel for a while now, I just keep putting it off, so this is a perfect challenge to push me to take the plunge!

Finished up the Urami models I mentioned. In the process of trying to enjoy the undeadness of them I ended up trying out painting with mostly washes over a zenethal for the base coats, which really ended up working out for these colors, I think.
@Caedrus Ends up being 45ss for the 6 of them so far this month.

For July, I'm going to paint more undead and try to enjoy them. Not a huge fan of painting undead stuff, or skin in general, so I tend to take shorcuts on them where possible.
Starting off with some Kirai pieces for a friend, already in progress, and then probably more to Seeker.

@Boomstick Love the cast shadows under the models. What's with all the Corgi's? Noticed the first one, then another when going through the photos, then there were more everywhere I looked. Thought I was going mad for a minute there.
Thnak you! Maybe you are? What corgis..?
😛 I kid, I kid. I needed something to cast the shadows for the Umbras to rise out from (or take the Bocken on walks, they're dangerous and shouldn't be left to their own devices) that would fit on the bases without crowding the models out, and with my love for themes, I needed a way to work Ein into this Cowboy Bebop themed crew, with no canines in sight. Two birds, one shadow-y, stone.

Finished up the all Umbras I didn't quite get the final touches on last month (along with the Operatives) and kind of glad I did, since this is probably the most contrast heavy crew I've done. Given the light/shadows theme of the DUA/Umbra, I tried further darkening the darkest darks (using Black 3.0 even, which turned out pretty well, though it does mean those parts of the minis aren't varnished, and the effect is better in person than in picture) and brightening the brightest brights (rarely use pure white anywhere normally, but with this crew it's around a bit more.
Had a blast with them, but definitely looking forward to not focusing so hard on the contrast extremes (and keeping this crew the most contrasting will further contrast them in contrast to my other crews).
All told for all the Umbras +2 Operatives, 66ss.

@Caedrus I'll be taking a mulligan for May, tried to batch paint too many things and got close-but-not-quite on all of them, but June will have a sizable update fairly quick!

I'll be aiming completing the DUA/Umbra keyword with the Operatives, Mr. Moredrake, the Daeva, and the Nocturnes and Brocken next week when the box comes in to my FLGS.

Wasn't sure I'd be able to finish up the bases due to the 2nd vaccine shot hitting me pretty hard, but managed it tonight! Here's Ivan, Gibson, Corvis, and Eva for 39ss @Caedrus

So I really like the new "slide left" menu style, just wanted to bring one thing to your attention, @dzlier. At least for me, on Android, when I slide specifically on the list of Setups on the game page, after confirming I'd like to delete one, it's never actually deleted. This occurs even after uninstalling and reinstalling. I don't know if it's affecting others, but wanted you to be aware in case it's more widespread than just me. Thanks for all your great work!

It's April, and that means that hard turn into Explorers I mentioned. Ivan's Core, Dirty Work, Wanderlust, the Rex, and a Ramone I hadn't gotten to previously are all on the table. Guess we'll see how many of them I get to. Going to be playing a lot with light and shadow with the DUA/Umbra, that much is certain.
