  1. Malifaux 2e tournament at Phoenix Fire Games in Meridian the 25th. Sign up is 11pm to noon. Games start at Noon! Sign up is 5 dollars and it is fixed factions. Follow the link for more discription. https://www.facebook.com/events/1236943966360788/
  2. What happens when Karina uses faces of the oblivion to summon a model and a death marshal pine boxes it but the ability that summoned the model says at the end of turn the model takes damage, gains slow, and is buried. Does it still take damage, gain slow, and rebury itself if it's already buried?
  3. Just a quick question. When a model discards the Oath Keeper upgrade is that signifying they are breaking their oath?
  4. so it's Jack daw's controller or the model's controller that flips for the horror duel?
  5. So quick question on Jack daw's twist and turn ability. can Jack daw essentially make an enemy model target a "The Hanged" to force a horror duel that Jack Daw's controller flips for (since he's controlling the action for the entire action) and can cheat a 1 in to paralyze that model?
  6. I love every model I've gotten from wyrd but I was confused on Ryle. His model is 2 heads shorter than a flesh construct. Here I was expecting the Hulk and I got Captain America. what makes him HT 3? Does he have a periscope?
  7. Hello I could use some help, Jack daw's twist and turn ability says he can perform an action on another tormented model but the action cannot perform triggers. HOWEVER, nurses ability "take your meds" says "this action must declare a trigger. how does this work? the rules on page 28 say when any special rules contradict each other, the more specific one of the two rules takes precedence. But these are the exact same specific special rules just opposites. Answer: this question has actually been FAQ and ERRATAed and says that you may not declare the trigger.
  8. Thank you sir for helpin me out, I apologize for the chaos, if I ever do another thread it will be wayyy cleaner. This was my first one and I came to a consensus. A friend and I found some stuff in the rules. I have no interest in creating another thread yet until I have another question. But I have been playing malifaux for a long time and never have been stumped like that.
  9. Page 32, Opposed Duels, paragraph 2. "In an opposed duel there is an Attacking model (the model that is acting) and a Defending model (the model that is targeted by the Attack Action). The rules clearly state that only the attacker is acting, so only the attacker gains any benefit from a positive flip to actions. EDIT: Even though a Ml or Sh action causes both the attacking and defending models to flip, the bonus from Inspiried will only ever be relevant for an attacking model since the defending model cannot claim a +flip to actions when it's not acting. I see where you coming from now. But inspire doesn't say to actions that this model controls, it says all Ml and Sh actions. Defending or attacking, it doesn't say this model has to be acting to get a modifier. Don't you think you could inspire your crew to hold their shield up higher? the defending model is still part of the enemy's Sh or ml action
  10. can you tell me the page it says no fate modfiers to the defending model? and isnt that what defensive stance is? becasue on page 32 it says "Both models simultaneously flip one card (plus any cards for Fate Modifiers)"
  11. I KNOW RIGHT haha >D hey Im new to this forum so ill clean it up in my next one if i find something as interesting to talk about
  12. Page 37 of Malifaux 2e full rulebook Steps in resolving an action 1. Declare Action & Spend AP 2. Perform Duels 3. Resolve Results Page 33 step 2 of opposed duel Both models simultaneously flip one card (plus any cards for Fate Modifiers)
  13. there is no defense or willpoer action in this game, only attack actions, the defense flip is part of the action
  14. I will pass on the kiss. Why do you need to be the acting model to get a +flip? Page 37 3 steps to resolving an action 1. Declare Action & Spend AP 2. Perform Duels 3. Resolve Results Page 32 opposed duel step 2 both models flip one card and add fate modifiers
  15. nobody has FAQ or errata or rules on this huh? innnteresting here page 37 of the malifaux 2e full rulebook "1. Declare Action & Spend AP 2. Perform Duels (defense or attack flips) 3. Resolve Results"
  16. There is no seperate "defense action" it's still a Ml or Sh action.
  17. They are not part of the action. End of. Period. There is no wiggle room on this. The rules state otherwise duels are required by the action. Defense or attack.
  18. not quite. Say she inspires someone. They ml/sh someone else. Your model is taking a ml/sh so gains a +, the enemy is making a df/wp flip (whicher is applicable to the attack). The opponent then retaliates and attacks back. The ml/sh at your model who makes a df/wp flip. That flip is NOT at a + from Inspire as it is not a sh/ml flip for you, its a df/wp flip. Df and Wp flips are duels required by the Action just like the attack flip
  19. Both of those would make no sense at all. To get a from that wording, you would have to declare an action. Gaining plus flip to an action makes no sense at all? Well then they should have worded it better. Haha if something says you gain plus flip to an action it needs to specify which action. Or it is implying all actions of that variety.
  20. I don't get you. As the Inspired model doesn't perform a Ml or Sh action, why would it get a ? it doesn't say actions this model executes, just actions. It's literally saying "this model gets +flip to enemy Ml and Sh actions" how would you interpret that?
  21. Because it's still a Ml or Sh action therefore the inspired model gets a +flip whether it's friendly or enemy action
  22. Defense flip is just as much part of the Ml or Sh action as the attack flip! Don't be prejudice against defense flips! They save your model's lives!
  23. But it doesn't say to Ml or Sh actions that only they are attempting it says all actions, enemy and friendly alike.
  24. If someone can show me somewhere in the FAQ & Errata or the rules somewhere to prove me wrong I will give you a cyber kiss.
  25. How would you interpret "this model gains +flip to all enemy attack actions"? "This model gains +flip to all friendly enemy attack actions"? Haha
