Neverborn lore is not to be confused with neverborn law, which is mainly a Lucius thing.

It might just be where I'm looking at his picture in detail for the first time...but between the pose and the beard, he looks like Gandalf and Gollum's secret lovechild. As a Neverborn player, I could see myself using Aionus as part of a Lynch crew. Not for Huggy tricks (sadly ) but with a certain scheme runner: Discard a card, give a Terror Tot fast - 3 sprints in one turn.

I'll bite.... Favourite game is more of a series - the Legacy of Kain. Utterly enthralling story between two people that loathe each other; Raziel and Kain, around whose fates hang the Soul Reaver weapon. Chockful of treachery, manipulation and agile dexterous combat, we shall sadly not see their like again. =( Other titles I enjoy: The Void - an extremely weird game exploring the space between life and death, where your life, health, spells, combat and everything else revolve around the use of a mysterious substance called colour. Everyone and everything in the Void has its own agenda, each manipulating your for their own ends. Syndicate (the good one): A wonderfully tactical game about a corporation's rise to despotic power through the use of subjugation, brainwashing and a delectable array of heavy firepower.

I can recommend one mercenary model that can give The Dreamer significant pause for thought - Taelor. Her "Welcome to Malifaux" ability means that if something gets summoned within charging distance, she can immediately run over and whack it with her hammer. It's not just any hammer she has, its a Relic Hammer. Relic Hammers (in the lore) were specifically made to deal with Tyrants; guess what Lord Chompy Bits is?

I've just had a really good idea for an Aionius conversion. Chop the old man off the top and replace him with a Malifaux Rat. A creepy-as-hell version of Hickory Dickory Dock.

Yay! I can finally get the Twins and the Black Blood Shamans! Might also splash out on Aionus - would like some details on his mechanics though. ^^

Waldgeists together with Lilith's Beckon Malifaux upgrade can give you some good board control by essentially dumping terrain all over the place and making movement a pain. Lilith likes smacking things in melee, so models which can help draw enemy models in close work well, such as Beckoners. Lilith's most potent ability, Tangle Shadows, allows you teleport a friendly model into base contact with an enemy one, then the enemy one into base contact with her. While Lilith *can* target herself with this ability, you're usually better off getting a big model, give it Fears Given Form and then Tangle Shadows it into a bunch of delicious minions. Nekima, Teddy, Mature Nephalim and Bad Juju are good picks for this. A small trick but Primordial Magic's rush of magic stacks with Liliths, giving you some extra drawing power at the start of a turn. Its useful because it gives you more chances of Mask cards, which Lilith goes through a lot. For really solid advice, have a listen to the awesome Schemes & Stones podcast on Lilith, which most of the above was wantonly stolen from. >.>

I like the idea of Hooded Rider as a scheme hunter. Doesn't it also have some kind of 0 action or trigger to clear scheme markers, or is my memory fuzzy?

If you gave Coppelus the "Wings of Darkness" upgrade, it'd make him very effective at Scheme Runner hunting.

I also have a question. Is this a Bete Noire or a Bete Rouge?
