Okay, so Toni Ironsides, Union President has an Ability, called Stand Together. It says: Friendly M&SU models within 1"(aura) of a friendly Scheme Marker are treated as having less than half their maximum health for the purposes of friendly effects. The Medical Automaton has a bonus Action (Code Red) saying: Target a friendly model with two or less Health. Place this model into base contact with the target. Then the target Heals 1. So technically the Miners, the Steamfitters, the Drudges and Mouse all can be treated to have 2 or less Health if they are treated as having less than half their health because of Toni's Ability. As they have 6 or less as maximum Health -> half is 3 (or less), less than half is 2 (or less). Are my assumptions right?

Resolving Abilities multiple times per Action
King of Draconis replied to Hollow's question in Malifaux Rules Discussion
I think so, yes. The card draw-> Sin token definitely, although the multiple Flicker tokens, I'm not so sure. The model resolves the Action, then places itself only once. What also works is the Labor Contract on Toni and Anya that summons Drudges. Each need a card to be discarded, but a Union Miner can definitely summon two with a single False Claim -
My question is if a model has two demise abilities, one of which keeps it alive, can the other one still work? If so, does the order matter? My only example so far is putting a Two Gremlins in a Ghillie suit on Bad Juju in a Bayou Zoraida crew. If Juju is killed, can the player discard a card and save Juju AND summon a Bayou Gremlin too? If the player starts with discarding, then the model is not killed anymore, so the "I'm Done With This" will not be triggered imo. But what if the Gremlin gets summoned first, can the Zoraida player still discard a card instead and save the henchman? Update: I've found another one: Freikorps crew with Deso Engine in it. As a minion it can get a Land Mines Upgrade. Gets killed, replaces with an Abomination (loses the upgrade, as during a replace it does so). But can the DE still use the Mines' Demise (Explosive)?

Counting Strategy markers
King of Draconis replied to Pallas4's question in Malifaux Rules Discussion
You mean Strategy Markers, right? But yes, I also thought it that way. The removing, moving, choosing and targeting part is clear, the SMs cannot be the target (for some reason a model cannot even move towards or away from tartget marker if it's a SM) But counting them? I mean that marker is just there and it's a piece of terrain (most of the times). Being placed near it, and jut taking into account that it is just there and it's a different thing than any others shouldn't be an issue. The marker goes nowhere, doesn't change in any way and it wasn't even targeted. Other than the Entomb, the Full Pack and the Secret Passage, Sandeep, FoM's From Heaven and Earth Action has a trigger that should also use the marker's presence, The World Around Us. -
Hi! My question is this: If an Academic in Sandeep's crew activates and wants to make an action, namely the Off the Rails of the Metal Golem, which model moves? The Academic or the Golem? If the Academic, then where will those enemies be placed that fail the duel? In base contact with the Academic or in base contact with the Golem? In the meantime I fiured it out. The Golem takes the action, so definitely it's the one that moves, as it states 'Push this model...'

Students of All - font of magic, toss
King of Draconis replied to M33kall's question in Malifaux Rules Discussion
When creating/dropping a new marker, all the traits and any properties such as base size have to be the same as any other ones that are mentioned in the game. When you treat a marker (or a model) as (another type of) marker, then the aforementioned object will not change any of its properties. The Wendigo and the Kaltgeists will be Sz2 even though they count as an Ice pillar. The same is with all Scrap and Pit Trap Markers near Sparks. An original Pit Trap will reamain 50 mm and the Srap is 30 mm -
Counting Strategy markers
King of Draconis replied to Pallas4's question in Malifaux Rules Discussion
You can definitely use the Strat Markers for any such Schemes like Death Beds. It's totally legal to name them as the non-Scheme Marker type -
I've found a group of three with whom I will share a ride. I'll be travelling with Troy (he contacted me via discord)

Hi! It will be my first time joining the Nationals. I'm coming from Hungary and still looking for accommodation/roommate(s). And also maybe a lift from Stansted to Newark and back (I can do it, but of someone else are coming from there, I'd gladly join)

Hey Wyrdos! My question is if a Union Miner uses False Claim in Toni Ironsides, Union President's crew, is it an option to discard two cards for that action to summon two Drudges? It is not stated a once per activation ability, not even a once per action effect. So is the abovementioned possible? Thanks for the answers in advance!

Malifaux Masquerade (and other multiplayer formats)
King of Draconis replied to King of Draconis's question in Malifaux Rules Discussion
Okay, so basically the assumption for the initiative is correct, the Martyr can win even if the Guild player was unrevealed by then. The only main question left is the issue of the Wrathful and the Bad Box. Thank you!- 2 replies

Malifaux Masquerade (and other multiplayer formats)
King of Draconis posted a question in Malifaux Rules Discussion
The release of this new, hidden role mode brought a couple questions: The initiative rules (should cheating be an option) has some interesting situations. Mainly when getting ties. Even without one, in this case if you want to activate later, you have to cheat a lower card, and it complicates the situation even more if someone cheats a card that ties with someone else's. I have this example, please tell me if my thoughts have any errors in it! Let's start with a possible setup: A, B and C are playing and flipping for initiative: 7, 5, 5 in this order. As no players have any sort of initiative yet, B and C has to decide someway else who has the chance to cheat first. Let's say it's C. However he doesn't want to so B has a chance now, and B does cheat with a 7, generating a tie, but this time it's a bit easier as A is the only one left that didn't cheat. What if A wants to go last, or at least after B, so he cheats with a 5, as there is no lower cards in his hand. Now A and C are tied, C didn't want to cheat, and A just did, so they reflip between the two of them and they both still have a chance to cheat again, but they have no further chance to start acting before B. So if after players had the chance to cheat first and getting into situations when they are tied, they only decide (reflip and maybe cheat again) among themselves? Victory conditions: The Martyr: Is it possible for the player with Tomes to win when the Loyal one kills them though being also still hidden, unrevealed? The Bad Box: If the Wrathful is also in the game, does the Outcast have any chance of winning? I mean even if the Bad Box and the Host are the only ones left, killing the Host will also win the game for the Neverborn. Or is it the only way, and in this case the Outcast wins and the Neverborn doesn't? I hope that the community or maybe even the author of this scenario has some answers!- 2 replies
